It had a more or less interesting premise: Soldiers on a practice mission transported to the warring past. I caught a glimpse of some soldiers on modern day bikes while some were on horses. So I thought I'd give this a watch... Which was what I SHOULD NOT HAVE DONE. The script, which is pretty much the most integral part of a drama IMHO, was a disaster. The setting and overall production was quite terrible. The sounds and background noise was either too loud it drowned out the actors' lines, or too low that you don't know if you actually heard anything or not. The actors were so-so. Not even the small amount of love I have for Sorimachi could save this show in my eyes. Oh, I love his kid, though. Very cute. Oh well. I actually had a lot of hope for this one. It was a miserable disappointment to me, all in all. |

This is a story about a group of soldiers who suddenly finds themselves back in the time of Samurai wars and bloody politics. Separated from their own chain of command their loved ones, this men and women have only one goal - to survive and find a way back home...
This drama has strong acting and a good script, even though I don't like the ending. |

A Platoon from the modern Defense Force find themselves mysteriously transported back in time, and forced to take part in a famous historical battle.
This was one of the worst episodes of the 1960s TV show, "Twilight Zone" (The 7th Is Made Up of Phantoms) and now it's been made into one of the worst ever Japanese TV specials. All praise the fast forward button. |

I really like the idea of this film. I was always scared that the soldiers from the future might alter history. They were doing a lot of stupid things. The attempts at killing key historical figures really amused me. Just the thought of meeting Ieyasu... this drama was really interesting. |

still watching....i thought it was a comedy. it's a good plot actually. just a pity that it wasn't up to expectation. i guess they couldn't make Tokugawa a joke after all. He is the Japanese version of Qin Shihuang; without him, Japan would still be in civil war. |

The biggest disaster of a japanese production i've seen yet. With an illogical, poorly-written and rather juvenile script, very cheesy scenes, as fake a set as you can get and a horrible plot, I don't think anything could sink lower than this. |

Not bad, it's tesioning and you get history light in short action...
The SFX were a bit lousy as for the self-confidence they were used with, though.
Sorimachi Takashi was a perfect fit. |
