1. How does one review this show? [Rating: 7/10]
Stupid? Yes...But funny? Hell yes. Well, thats not completely true, as the girls' stories tended to bore the help out of me.It was like they left all the creativity in the hands of the whole "cowboy and indians" plot (whether a story about a japanese cowboy in the centre of tokyo is a sign of creativity or not is also worthy of debate). But this drama has its moments, and they lie solely with naohito's cowboy, geronimo the indian (don't know why he's called geronimo, probably best not to know), and ryuuta's police officer character. A lot of people were talking of the cute girls in this drama, and to an extent this true, but some of them look seriously unwell - almost anorexic, especially emi suzuki and erika toda. Anyway, the plot is ridiculous, but the drama satisfies, suprising i must admit, even just due to naohito's woeful attempts at english ("shitttt!.." and "whaat?"). Hahah...ahhh, good times.

2. Not expecting it to be this GREAT!! [Rating: 10/10]
When I first watched this, I didnt feel really excited coz i thought this is just one of those doramas about teenage girls in their miniskirt. But turns out, this is one HILLARIOUSLY FUNNY series I ever watched.. despite the fact that it does contain some teenage girls dancing in miniskirt ;)
Shinnosuke's innocent stunts were SO funny that it compensates for the lack of logical sense in this dorama (Like how can Arizona and Shibuya be more like neighbourhood cities?). Plus, in each episode there is always a thing to learn about human and life... it feels more like watching 'school doramas' but with more laughs :D
I'm so surprised this is not yet in the Top 50 doramas... it should be in it.
Fujiki acting so suited with his role as life-smart cowboy... this is the best suited role for him IMO, as he naturally has that innocent-if-not-stupid look without overacting it hehehe :D

3. 2nd Fujiki Naohito drama... [Rating: 10/10]
Ive seen. but the first drama ive seen him last is in GTO Live Action as a cop and friend of Onizuka (Takashi Sorimachi). the reason ive watch this drama is only for Erika Toda. but then i realize he is the lead role here. i dont know about his past dramas after GTO but for me he did a good job portraying his cowboy role. hahaha. SHINNOSUKE?!!!! lol. and most of all the plot is good. for those are saying it is BAD. please grow up guys. this is the same ingredient GTO has. not to mention the girls cast are all kawaii and has talent. Erika Toda, Suzuki Emi, Iwasa Mayuko, Aragaki Yui etc. not like the boys from Gokusen 2 thats has no talent. blah (no offense but it is the truth). Samuel Samaniego of Quezon City, Philippines.

4. Seriously...? [Rating: 6/10]
This show was dumb. It didn’t really have a plot and it had a very weak storyline (the search for Imoko) that broke apart way too often. Each episode was exactly the same in structure to the previous episode, only starring a different Para-Para girl. Although the girls were believable, it was hard to sympathize with them. And why, someone please tell me, was Fujiki Naohito thinking?!

There were a few funny moments, but overall this drama was just a waste of time. I didn’t hate it, but I didn’t find it amusing either. I think it caters to tween girls (I hope teens have more sense) and fanboys. If you don’t fit either category, drop this drama and move on.

5. Duuuuuuuuuuh [Rating: 2/10]
I can't believe how many high scores there are I feel dumber just trying to watch it, I rename it the Adventures of Captain Moron. The beauty and talent of Erika Toda, Yui Aragaki and Mayuko Iwasa does not even come close to saving this steaming pile of crap. I can't believe it would apeal to anyone but the young people who hang out in Shibuya in real life, maybe not even them because surely they can't really be this dumb. the only reason I give this a 2 instead of a 1 is I know how talented Erika Toda, Yui Aragaki and Mayuko Iwasa are so I know they can do better if I was them I'd leave this show off my resume

6. Watchable, for the girls [Rating: 6/10]
Most of the appeal in the drama stems from over-made up girl cast, who serve as eye appeal for a mostly forgettable series. Mari Yaguchi, and Erika Toda, and a set of equally cute and spirited stars serve as eye-candy as the rather silly plot unfolds - mostly about a cowboy who descends from heaven to in a parachute, relying on the wisdom of his American Indian father to lead him to his family.

Of course, it makes little sense, but taken on the level of a blithe comedy, it's watchable - for the girls.

7. Idea was good but only for one episode [Rating: 3/10]
It just got worse and worse and the acting was just terrible. Fujiki Naohito definitely downgraded himself after this drama. Some people probably gave high ratings to this drama because some of their favorite cute actresses made it enjoying for them. Thought it be interesting at first, but failed miserably.

-1 point for the cliche/horrendous plot but if you miss this drama because of that, you are really missing something. This show is hilarious. Wacky and quirky all the way thru.

+1 to the person who said the Indian guy was funny...he was.

What a lovely dorama!
And wat else can we ask??? Beautiful actress such as Yaguchi Mari (former Morning Musume member), Toda Erika (main role... u~huuu!!!!), Aragaki Yui (in a much cooler role than the one she did in Dragonzakura), Suzuki Emi.....
And not to mention that this one have one of the most funny casting ever!!! Namase Katsuhisa (the legendary head-teacher from Gokusen), Furuta Shinta (any relation with Furuta Arata???), Sato Ryuta (IMO he's the japanese version for Jin Carrey.. LoL).

And Fujiki Naohito plays his role really WELL!! The foreign accent he does is marvelous!!! He's really funny in this dorama...

Gyarusa is really silly... no doubts 'bout that... But its the funniest dorama i've ever watched!!! I gave a 9 out of 10 only because of that UNREALISTIC part in the ending... But i must say i quite enjoyed the ending of this dorama...

Really worh a try if u r looking for some laughs....

BAKA and Funny Drama!!! This is the first time i saw fujiki-san play an innocent role like that. Everything he did was always the right ways, this is really typical main character in japanesse drama, i like this. The first episode was great, they teach us to watch our word, because your mouth is your tiger. Every episode teach us about anything, i really like a drama like this(Not like American Film which always teach us about violence). Back to topic, Everyone did a great job, Erika, Emi, Yui, mayuko, ryuta, and of course Geronimo. Remi joke was funny and Yui "omoa nee yo" so kawaiiii... If you want to laugh and a light drama, just watch it, it is really funny.

Funny! I like that girl from Nobuta. I'm so surprised that she can act so well. This is the second time that I seen her act, first time being Nobuta wo produce. Never knew she acts so well. Her acting really moves me to tears in those eps where she's so sad.

Actually, I continue to watch this one because I didn't know what the heck is this drama about. I like the cow boy because he likes to speak in English dramatically. I enjoy the humor. I found this one really interesting as I don't know what it is about. So I watch eps after eps due to curosity. I was hoping to understand what the heck I was watching and that's how I managed to watch each and very episode. It was fun.

Naohito fujiki is really fun there and of course the Angel Hearts! >D
haha the theme song makes me always in a good mood *_*
hmm but you should really see this! *Q*

why it got just 9 points? because at the beginninig the series war very ..nah...i found that the series were the same anyhow because there was always a gal member with a problem and shinnosuke saved her story oO;;;
okay that was the only point which relieved a bit tension. ^^"

Not available with English subtitles here in Bangkok. I am really upset since he is one of my favourite actors. Naohito is super talented.versatile, suave, really cool, ooze's sex appeal without really trying, superlative in all his roles. Whatever he is in his character is never repetitive -- all in all , he is an actor's actor. His alluring smile can melt any woman's heart , not the least is his mesmerising and tantalising eyes. In the handsomenest stakes he is over the strastosphere. Finally got to watch the fabulous Naohito. ( Gal Circle )

I didn't see this drama because of the idols, I saw it because of the ganguros. This drama is SUPPOSED to be ridicolous. And it's HILARIOUS! the fighting scene in epi 9 -sucked- and komachi's (epi 9) typical jpnese drama woman voice makes me sick but otherwise, this drama is really FUNNY, and everyone should see this ! Para Para, Gals, Shibuya, Cowboys, Indians = the best ! and Momo is really cute ! You will have many great laughs with Innosuke and Geronimo!

I watched 10 minutes of this and stopped. I just couldn't take it. This was the first time I couldn't stand to watch a drama. Up to then, the ones I had watched were great. It was because of this that I decided I really should give "Gal Cir" a chance no matter how horrible I thought it was so far. Good thing I went back to watch that first episode because it turned out to be a good one. It wasn't great but I did end up liking it. :)

It's easy to love or hate this, and I'm on the side that really enjoyed it. It's fantastically absurd and awesomely funny. I don't know why it has to be believable. I'm so amused by Shinnosuke, he's so different from Fujiki's real personality or the other characters he's played. Geronimo is hilarious! Toda Erika and Aragaki Yui were my favourite girls but all of them were pretty likeable. Nice Saturday night entertainment.
10. Comments by onigiriman [Rating: 7/10]
Although pretty corny, each episode had a relevant life lesson. Fujiki's role as a Japan-born, America-raised cowboy was irksome: Typical stereoptying and bad English. But Geronimo was a riot. His sarcasm and imitation of Shibuya gal-speak were just too funny.
Shinnosuke: "Something very strange happened." (ep. 10)
Geronimo: "What? Did the statue of Shibuya's faithful dog, Hachiko, turn into a chihuahua?"
11. Comments by NaomiMaeda [Rating: 10/10]
This drama was really funny! I'm not really interested in fashion but somehow I became addicted to Japanese fashion because of Galcir. Plot was interesting and I really liked the main character Shinnosuke. He was so naive, innocent and honest... But he was awesome for me. About all those gyaru girls, my faves were Saki and Nagisa. Can't choose one of them xD Anyway, I loved these series <3
12. Comments by kaonashi [Rating: 7/10]
A japanese cowboy from Arizona ends up in a group of lost para para girls in Shibuya. Everyone should understand that this is not a top notch quality drama but it's not pretending to be anything else but a simple lighthearted comedy either. It follows the same concept as for example GTO, an extreme character shows up & help some lost youngsters. It's ok entertainment.
13. Comments by Tu_triky [Rating: 2/10]
Probably the lamest dorama/comedy I've ever seen. In its incredible stupidity it fails to elicit any laughter or emotion. The acting is horrible and the characters are not worthy of sympathy or praise on any level. An unworkable disaster devoid of plot or promise. An embarassment for Erika Toda, really. I couldn' t finish this dorama.
14. Comments by calico [Rating: 4/10]
Brainless and quite ridiculous but I still watch each week. This drama works at allowing my brain to rest without actually working to digest any information it may be imparting to me. Great for at the end of a stressful work day and you don't need any heavy drama plots to further drain your brain cells.
15. Comments by ScrappedShinigami [Rating: 6/10]
It's not the best dorama I have ever seen but it certainly is fun (in my opinion) Fujiki Naohito makes this series for me he is so very funny and lovable and I love the random English he comes out with (which is suprisingly good) I especially love the way he says 'what?' <3
16. Comments by SayaOtonashi [Rating: 4/10]
Mmm it has some humour, it has cute girls (but I don't really mind about that), and it has something that keeps you watching the show. But at the end you just forget about it... Won't remember what they were talking about. Was there some dancing? You can skip this drama.

I didn't really know what to expect, but this turned out to be a pretty good drama. The premise sounds really lame, but the characters are likeable (I loved Toda Erika and Sato Ryuta especially) and each episode teaches a good lesson. I really enjoyed this drama.
18. Comments by loveaomori [Rating: 10/10]
I put 10 not because it's a good dorama but because it deals with the thing that worths the most in my life: gyaru. people that don't know what is a gyaru before watching it can't apreciate the real value of it. 10 for the idea and for para para. banzai
19. Comments by agp_frick [Rating: 8/10]
This drama is ridiculously full of funny things... One thing that everyone will notice that this drama has many cute girl casts... Even though so, this drama actually has great and important messages for everyone about life... at least it seems so...

for some reason, i finished this in just 2 days. i dont really know why. maybe because of the ost and the cast. youll get some life lessons and these lessons have some sense. ost's pretty good.

watchable. not for a marathon though.

To me this drama was entertaining. Geronimo and Ichinose were hilarious....oh yea, Mari was quite funny too lol. That Chibi. If you can get past the Para Para and some of the other little stupid things, its enjoyable.

I was actually going to give this a 6, but since 3 of my fav actresses is in it I'll bump it up to 7. A few funny eps. and a few stupid eps. Overall a average comedy drama and Furuta Shinta is great as Geronimo :))
23. Comments by usagi_on_the_moon [Rating: 4/10]
Unique drama, weak plot, weak cast. It had it's moments, yes, but the actors/actresses that were cast in order to bring in viewer ratings gave poor performances, much less than what we know they're capable of.

Funny stuff. I thought it was wrong and really weird at first, but realized they were trying to do something funny and not too dramatic, at least IMHO. Sometimes predictable, but I had good laugh.

A drama around the para para sub culture sounds like fun. Shame it sucked sooo badly. Could appeal to older creeps because of Gakki and Toda Erika and other teenage actresses.

At first by the looks of the 1st episode I thought this was going to be a craptasically fiasco like Ganbatte Ikimasshoi, but with each occuring episode it got better and better. It shows how humans arent appreciative of any of the basic neccessaties of life and are likely to ignore all basic principles. That is why I like this show.
8.5 for this show. Whenever the "Cowboy" would speak it would be soooo easy to understand, but when the "Gals" spoke It was a bit more difficult for me.

Who doesnt like gal ;P everyone in here, Toda Erika as main cast Saki, Aragaki Yui as the cool Nagisa-san, for hp fans Yaguchi Mari in here too as the overage, noisy but smart Yurika, and great model Suzuki Emi as their leader Remi. The cool guy Fujiki Naohito plays a strange cowboy character in here, and his scene with geronimo the indian was damn funny. its a fun drama to watch!

Actually, the reason I watch this drama is because of Toda Erika and she did well in this one. Unique I must say.
From a simple search for this "IMOKO", Gyarusa certainly has an ending nobody could guess. : D
