Interesting storyline of a guy with memory loss trying to peice evertying together. I thought the story was appropirate and well written. It's one of the first drama that I've seen and enjoyed tremendously. Takuya steals the snow. |

If you love Sora Kara Furu Ichioku no Hoshi, you'll dig this one (there's Ryo in Takehiro).
A twisted tale and quite weird with dark comedy. I kind of hate the first part of the series because it drags. Also hated the bare breasted women (UGHH, YUK!).
The high rating is for takuya brilliant performance.Portraying totally different characters then smoothly merging it into one. Yukio is virtuous, innocent yet sexy while Takehiro is compulsive, nasty and wickedly mesmerizing. There's a part where takehiro reminds me of the vampire Lestat (int. with the vampire). The scene when he talks to his bestfriend, the light were reflected tru his eyes making it looked haunted like a cat on the verge of attacking. Those eyes... |

A very good drama. I hope Takuya starrs in this kind of drama once again. I don't really like his recent dramas. I loved the theme song Tokyo Joe, and I loved Takuya's performance. It proved to me that Takuya has a great acting talent. He looked so innocent as Yukio and so evil as Takehiro. Also, Takuya looked very SEXY in this drama. He's still good looking but he was beautiful in 1997.
I'd give this 9 since because the first five episodes were a little bit boring from time to time. As the story gears toward the end, it gets more interesting!
I also really liked Shinohara Ryoko here. So cute! |

If there wasn't kimutaku I would have given it a -456847145! So bad dorama!!! But thanks to kimutaku where's a pleasant atmosphere! so kakkoii! Shinohara Ryoko is pitiful in this dorama. And I think it would have been better to make kimutaku remember more things before the last episode which is the most interesting. It would have been interesting to develop the last episode in two or three ones! The song is nice anyway! entertaining ne! |

Takuya Kimura is truly the king of jdorama. He is too sexy and beautiful for words in his role as the man with no past, no memories. Its a joy watching him play a Gucci clad, Cohiba cigar smoking delivery man who rides a bike with an attitude. Love, money and betrayal is the classic theme of suspense and mystery thrillers and add the angle of lost memories and it is the work of a genius. But more than that it is a story of redemption, of new beginnings of the sublime internal struggle between good and evil. Gift is a perfect 10, truly worth watching every second of it. |
