| 2. | Comments by x_XJules [Rating: 10/10] awesome series that i can watch over and over and over. the characters are just so unique and love-able. except for daruma LoL. took me a long time to warm up to him. |
| 3. | Comments by serebi [Rating: 8/10] @DEEP is a wide ride of emotions, good experiences, crazy happenings and good friends.
Pagkun character is the best of them all |
| 4. | Comments by Okojo [Rating: 2/10] So boring!
At least, there is Ikki/Kazuki-san here... |
| 5. | Comments by lynn [Rating: 7/10] Download |
| 6. | Comments by Milano [Rating: 8/10] Strange - absolutely silly the last episode! It raise up the score by one point! |
| 7. | Comments by haruki@deep [Rating: 10/10] cool.......otaku in action |
| 8. | Comments by PaperCaged [Rating: 8/10] Fun and crazy. It was very manga-like, which I loved. The main characters were all very interesting and different. I love anime and manga myself, so it was fun looking in on the otaku world in Akihabara. |
| 9. | Comments by irwinner [Rating: 9/10] Funny drama that doesn't take itself too seriously. |
| 10. | Comments by mmyy [Rating: 6/10] The dumb, cheesy ending spoiled this for me. Else it would have been pretty good for all its dark, creepy but weird and amusing otaku references. Either way, if you're somewhat interested in the otaku culture, this can be quite an interesting show. Daruma scares me to hell, though Toma gave a very good performance here. |
| 11. | Comments by EstherM [Rating: 9/10] Flashy, loud, hysteric, second degree and totally over the top. The characters are loveable (yet annoying) and the overall design is funky. It´s a bit too geeky and weird to appeal to the masses but if you take it as an entertaining life-action-anime, and if you are a bit of an otaku at heart, this should be fun. |
| 12. | Comments by orange_k4zu [Rating: 10/10] story about otaku & akihabara ^^v |
| 13. | Comments by Andro [Rating: 9/10] It's a really good drama about otakus. I like it. XD |
| 14. | Comments by oldasianguy [Rating: 10/10] Wow! Great show.....Really funny wirh interesting cast...I was pleasantly surprised that I liked this show..since this was geared for the younger generation....Highly recommend!!! |
| 15. | Comments by takuan [Rating: ?/10] Still in the middle of watching this, but loving it so far. Not what I would consider a "quality show" since there isn't much of a plot, but highly entertaining and the characters are quirky, colorful, and loveable. Anime/manga fans will probably enjoy the references to Akihabara and otaku culture. |
| 16. | Comments by koala_bry [Rating: 9/10] the world of OTAKU is sooo fascinating!! love this dorama!!! and it's funny too!! sugoi desu ne..moeeee..loool gyabooooooooooo |
| 17. | Comments by nishishi [Rating: 8/10] It is kind of an IWGP meets Densha Otoko....
For those who liked Densha, Akihabara@DEEP is waaaaay better than that! Altough i must say that some actors really sux... specially Kosaka Yuko... i mean... shes beatiful and can put some really amazing fighting scenes... but her acting skills r far from being the best....
And those "u must watch the DVD" parts r really annoying! I mean... c'mon.. how desperate one can be to sell those DVDs...
Nways.. its a good dorama afterall... really worth a try... An Akihabara's version of IWGP... really funny! |
| 18. | Comments by sasukekun6 [Rating: 10/10] Absolutely amazing drama! The characters in it are so lovable. Kazama Shunsuke was great as Page. Totally adorable. |
| 19. | Comments by moonchyld [Rating: 9/10] unexpectedly very entertaining!!! i love how weird and quirky everything was~ FAR FAR better than the movie version! the cast was superb, they were really convincing as akihabara otakus unlike the movie's cast. special mention to kitamura for his awesome performance as nakagomi takeshi! |
| 20. | Comments by nimadifob [Rating: 8/10] stupid good, dunno wat it is |
| 21. | Comments by agp_frick [Rating: 9/10] Didn't like it at first...
But my liking grew up fast as the episodes really get interesting. Stopped watching since the dvd got scratched T_T |
| 22. | Comments by Gloves [Rating: 6/10] Anti-heroistic, comic-esque characters form a "rescue" team where everyone turns out to have a unique power. Their abilities combined, they are ready to fight the unjustice. The cliched plot outline is.. well, cliched, but the irony towards lifeless otakus is a working theme. |
| 23. | Comments by ducko [Rating: 10/10] Love this drama. The characters come in so many colors. Lots of character development throughout the show... but i would have liked more character building.
Taiko and Page were my favorite. Taiko was pretty cool and funny when he freezes... not to mention when he goes "SUPER OTAKU" toward the end of the season. Page-kun was just so cool because he was the leader and had a stutter.
Box and Izumi were cool too. I like Izumi because she was so Kawaii and her eyes were cool. Box was okay, i like story but he wasn't too special.
Akira was cool, she wasn't super hot to me as the show made her to be. Girls that can kick ass are cool.
Doruma was okay, kind of the annoying character no one likes but is just there for the stupid jokes.
The villian was okay - the "Ultimate OTAKU" turns out to be pretty powerful and dorky at the same time.
Yui-san... she was weird, but tied the show together.
I gave this show a 9.5... because i am an OTAKU! |
| 24. | Comments by tabana [Rating: 8/10] Starts slow, but boy this drama is fun to watch. They're not taking themselves seriously and one episode, ep 7 IIRC, is pure gold. Loved it. |
| 25. | Comments by Bodhi [Rating: 10/10] This is as good or better then Densha Otoko IMO |
| 26. | Comments by kneehard [Rating: 7/10] An Otaku drama that can be confusing for those who do not have an idea of the Otaku culture in Japan. Thanks to Densha Otoko, I at least know what an Otaku is, and that Akihabara is their sacred place. Akihabara@DEEP potrays even more about the otakus and their lifestyle (eating oden & umaibo, going to 'maid' cafe).
This drama is a bit confusing at the beginning, and you just got to be patient and watch through the first 3 episodes. Then the frame of the story sort of kicks in, and you begin to develop an interest in the characters.
Definitely a different sort of drama than the ones I'm used to, and there are a lot of new actors in it. Although I prefer the older bunch of actors (Kimura, Takenouchi, Sorimachi, etc), the current array of fresh young actors are probably better suited for this kind of series. |
| 27. | Comments by eftermiddag [Rating: 5/10] It was a funny and strange trip into the life of a nerd...or six of them. Recomended even though I give it a low rating. |
| 28. | Comments by angelakiko [Rating: 10/10] Nothing short of Pure Awesomeness XD
if u have a quirky sense of humour u will love this show =D |
| 29. | Comments by aku [Rating: 5/10] canT understand |
| 30. | Comments by Akyoku [Rating: 3/10] really bad - but with ikuta toma |
| 31. | Comments by g_hunter1 [Rating: 8/10] A wacky drama. |
| 32. | Comments by aiscess [Rating: 7/10] It was a little bit dark at first but it gets better after every episode. Somehow you become curious and interested as to why Yui died and why she made such a group. I was looking forward as to what case they will be solving in the next episode. Daruma is definitely the one providing the big laughs here with his different cosplay in each episode. |
| 33. | Comments by pinkokoro [Rating: ?/10] COMPLETE. |
| 34. | Comments by sw33t_laydee [Rating: 8/10] It's pretty funny and kept me interested. There wasn't a time where I was bored of it. Also, Ikuta Toma performed very well |
| 35. | Comments by kireiyuhi [Rating: 7/10] <3 Ikuta toma |
| 36. | Comments by animefreak101 [Rating: 10/10] wow.......... I LOVED LOVED LOVED LOVED LOVED IT!!!!!!!.......everyone was so wacky and cool which i love and just love the whole concept of the story it is very touching and funny :D some of the things they did were so stupid and funny at the same time it had me shouting WTF? and lmao at the same time :D after i watched this somehow it put me in such a good mood :D very good :D |
| 37. | Comments by Patazilla [Rating: 8/10] I liked it! Very inventive with many great ideas... but somehow I didn't really like the ending... that Yui was that important and all the trouble with Nakagomi Takeshi. But nevertheless absolutely watch-worthy and with a variety of superb characters! |
| 38. | Comments by csweet [Rating: 7/10] I liked the early episodes, but the tone seemed different in the second half, and the ending didn't work for me at all. |
| 39. | Comments by aliceeatcow [Rating: 9/10] This was such a pleasant suprise! I really loved the casting and every episode was worth watching (hard to say for most doramas). It was really hilarious, just my kind of humor--so lame, it's funny! Each character had their annoying moments though.. but it was just that, just moments. Box-kun was my favorite character; Toma really grew on me after watching this. I'd have to say it's one of the funniest doramas I've seen. Loved it! |
| 40. | Comments by Hisako-desu [Rating: 9/10] A pretty good rival to Densha Otoko. If you wanted to watch an otaku/akihabara drama, and you had to pick between Densha Otoko and this, you should definitely pick this. It has humor, interesting characters, and drama. I even started crying near the last episodes when... *ahem* something happened... NO SPOILERS! |
| 41. | Comments by misaki697 [Rating: ?/10] watching... |
| 42. | Comments by chibichan [Rating: 8/10] welcome to the Otaku World. the group of six people who become the troubleshooter in Akihabara. I found it really interesting story and funny |
| 43. | Comments by crvn107 [Rating: 7/10] Not exceptionally good nor bad.It opened up another world for me and allowed me to learn a little more of Japanese culture(in Akihabara at least). It is pretty funny but rather than thinking of her as a saviour,I think Yui is freaky. Not a watch-at-all-cost drama but a watchable one when you really have nothing better to watch. |
| 44. | Comments by Cerebus [Rating: 8/10] Great fun, a sort mixture of Scooby Doo and the UK series Spaced. Fast and frantic, and just the right level of silliness, although the final episode may taken things a bit too far. |
| 45. | Comments by balflear [Rating: 5/10] I watch this for the comedy, especially Daruma's disasterous cosplaying. The story is somewhat entertaining, but not really anything special. |
| 46. | Comments by Jumpdiva [Rating: 9/10] I'm surprised that there isn't a write up for this shower. Ikuta Toma stars in this show about a group of Otaku (avid anime/manga fanatics) who solve crimes and mysteries within Akihabari, (a sanctuary for the Otaku).
It's a hilarious drama, though ridiculous and perverted, and there are a few annoying parts. VERY small details, but all around -the dorkiness and comedy overrides it all. |
| 47. | Comments by aoi_dolphine [Rating: ?/10] KIV |
| 48. | Comments by w-kassy [Rating: 7/10] This is nice, really succed made a good detail about otaku world. I like how this drama explain about the characters... Expecially about Box-kun! ^ ^ |
| 49. | Comments by simpletoad [Rating: 8/10] hmm, this is conflicting. i liked the drama but otaku-ness at the end of the day isnt something i'd say i like |
