4.	Letter sent to heaven [Rating: 10/10] when i finished watching this movie for the first time. I can't help but feeling sad. Then I think again, for whom am I feeling sad. It seems like the perfect ending for the movie. You should watch it.. and the soundtrack is great too!!

5.	Good Good~~ [Rating: 10/10] This is a very nicely done movie. It was very weird at first about the letters and the two ppl with the same name but it got much more clearer at the back and became very interesting. Takashi, once again, put on a different role and acted very well in it. I really liked it bcoz its so romantic! Recommended to anyone who likes romantic stories.

7.	Gateway to heaven [Rating: 10/10] This movie is excellent!!!!I've never seen such beautiful storyline. Miho's acting was fantastic. And the songs, how lovely. I cried for hours after I watched this movie. A lovely winter story when everything is so plain and .....white!!!

8.	the best love story i have ever seen [Rating: 10/10] this is a very well done love story, i think the director is so great. the script attract the viewers. the movie made the viewer fall into deep memory of their own life story in the past. i love the music, and a lot of scenes. the movie tell our own story and our secret love in our past. Great!

12.	Lovely.. [Rating: 10/10] It seem that it is really rare to see Japanese movies without the gore and horror. Japanese films are known for their bizarre and masterfully horrifying films, such as “The Ring” and “The Grudge” or maybe as disturbing as “All About Lily Chou-Chou” and “Suicide Club” or “Battle Royale.” But before Japanese horror fever swept across Asia, in 1995 one certain film should have grabbed the recognition that Japanese horrors have had these days, as it was truly a rare piece of Japanese drama. “Love Letter” is Shunji Iwai’s first feature film, which gave him a massive commercial success. It is an achingly sentimental, and poetic movie about love both lost and found. Starring Japan’s famous TV drama queen, Miho Nakayama. She stars as Watanabe Hiroko, a young woman who struggles to recover from the death of her fiancé “Itsuki Fujii”. When she discovers his old yearbook, hoping it could ease her own pain, she writes a letter to Itsuki and sends it to his former address. She doesn’t intend for the letter to reach anyone, but surprisingly, she gets a response -- strangely from a recipient named “Itsuki Fujii” -- a young woman who actually has the same name as her fiancé, more so was an old classmate of the late Itsuki Fujii. Hence starts their odd yet interesting relationship, as they share their memories with each other of the young and grown-up “Itsuki Fujii” that they know. Set against the picturesque backdrop of rural Hokkaido, “Love Letter” is one of the very few unforgettably charming Japanese films that I have seen in 3 years. Most of the time movies such as this film here, I could only find in an anime (Japanese animation). The film is truly affecting and overwhelms you with its heartfelt emotions that transpire from its characters. The flashbacks are one of the most essential parts of the story as they give you a chance to get to know the core and soul behind the string of memories shared by its characters. What makes “Love Letter” even more beautiful is the brilliant storyline and its successful depiction of conjured yet believable sentiments that makes us all human. As his first feature film, it seem that director Shunji Iwai held this movie near and dear to his heart that he completed it so beautifully. I feel as if he had poured so much time and love on it. “Love Letter” is truly a charmingly wistful piece of work.. a gorgeous masterpiece. Seeing it was indeed quite rewarding.

You can hardly find such a film with such a touching ending, with little tears, but heaps of memories and regrets. A must-watch. The scene between the two Fujii Itsuki was very sweet. After an hour I watch the movie, I started to understand what really happened. For the ending, I don't want to spoil it for those who haven't watch the movie but what can I really say is you will feel quite unsatisfied. But, that is the best ending for the story. I didn't realise I got tears in my eyes. Watch it!!

The camerawork is beautifully done and the style is sweet, nostalgic, romantic, and a bit bitter. Kashiwabara's role is great...I loved watching the schooldays flashbacks...too bad there weren't that many....More would've been better. My only complaint would be the guy acting Watanabe Hiroko's bf in there, cuz he is ugly and annoying.
