| Synopsis |
|---|
Abandoned by his mother and having had to fend for himself, Ryuu is one of many Japanese youths that have turned to a life of petty crime in order to survive in Japanese society. Life on the streets has given him a tough exterior, but it is his kind heart and his dislike for what he has become that wins over a local beauty and helps him take his first steps towards a better life. When an overzealous and less than ethical police inspector fingers Ryuu for a crime he didn't commit, he is resigned to accept his fate. However, help emerges from an unexpected source to give him the strength to fight for his freedom: a victim of one of his past crimes. | | TBS |

The two songs of this dorama are...beautiful, dicpicts the emotions, the strong feelings as messages so when...esp. 'Porushka Pore' .everytime i hear it..it reminds of how Ryu was not accepted. Okina's character Akane is at least a female role who fights for herself and Ryu, not the usual damsel in distress..admirable when she tries to protect Ryuwhat the drama seems to be tragic, touched with a sorrowful and gloomy tone..yet has a beautiful,positive ending. I love the characters and how they have deveoloped and changed in the end....Friendship, love , tragedy, trust, mistrust? hatred?and HOPE... this drama sets me to think. Of course, am I getting to long winded. I love this dorama. Tsuyoshi actually convincingly as Ryu, Megumi, ( in a role that i feel is very different from he rest), as Akane is one of the female characters that I admire. the first dorama where i first set my eyes on DoTsuyo...and frankly, i dont like him that much...but this story is good..it is about teenage angst and the multiple personality disease..not him of coz. His lawyer, Kamiya Takikawa. DoTsuyo plays Ryu, a juvenile delinquent who wants to be good after much motivation fm his lawyer. the life tsuyoshi plays is such a depressing one. tho his change of his way of living was so incredible that u couldn't help but applaud him on his character's dedication, relying on all the people that trust and support him. kind of a weak twist to the story which i didn't quite like but to sum it up, it was ok. the guys were really cute in it tho and that helps^< | | 9. | Comments by Yuana [Rating: 10/10]

This is the very show that got me head over heels into Doumoto Tsuyoshi. I had watched this dorama more than 4-5 times and his acting in there is fabulous. No wonder he won the best actor award for the season of that dorama. However, I rated this dorama a 8 and not 9 because while the chemistry between the two talented artistes, Doumoto Tsuyoshi and Okina Megumi is great, the later part of the plot goes kind of imbalanced to focus on the bengoshi's (lawyer) spilt personality problem, neglecting the main plot somewhat.
