| Synopsis |
|---|
When the Inoue family moves into their new residence, they are shocked to see everyone there so anxious about getting their children into good schools. In order not to be the one left out, they also join in the crowd and train their child hard to score well in the primary school entrance exam. Interestingly, their next door neighbour has a kid the same age as theirs and always likes to compete with them. This makes the whole exam process more exciting and stressful, of course. | | Snowflakes |

| | 1. | It's pretty good. [Rating: 9/10] This is a drama screened about ten years ago. I haven't seen some of the actors before. But it's a pretty cute drama. It focused a lot on family business. Such as whether or not they're saving enough money for the kid's tutoring, or if their husbands are having affairs a lot. Yamaguchi Tomoko and Takagi Saya played very adorable housewives. | | Reviewed by toiling on 1 December 2002 | | 2. | Absolutely Brilliant [Rating: 10/10] Absolutely brilliant. For someone who is easily entertained, it’s been a long time since I’ve seen a drama THIS good. I love it through and through. I had some reservations when I first started watching it. Although many people claimed that they thought it was great, I thought the synopsis was a bit boring. A drama about parents competing to get their children into the best schools? Not exactly exhilarating. When I saw that Yamaguchi Tomoko was in the starring role, I decided to give it a try. I have loved Tomoko-san in everything I’ve seen her in, and this has become one of those dramas.
Yes, this drama is about parents competing to get their kids into the best school, and because the drama is about this, it delves into the family home. It was very fun to watch the different families function. This is one of those rare dramas where I wasn’t remotely bored at any time during any episode. I had a ball with every single one.
The casting was perfect. I thought Fukaura Kanako’s character was hilarious and Takagi Saya’s character was very likable. The little boy who plays Tomoko’s son was adorable and I was very attracted to Fuse Hiroshi. Nogiwa Yoko, who I adore, is absolutely magic, and although I still believe that her role in Honmamon is perhaps her best, this oen comes in at a close second. And of course, Tomoko-san proved yet again why she is the best actress of her time.
I love this drama and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a serious comedy. | | Reviewed by Wynter on 29 May 2008 |

| | 1. | Comments by bababui [Rating: 10/10] Fun and moving with great supporting performance as a woman on the verge of a nervous breakdown by kanako Fukaura. | | 2. | Comments by sadacori [Rating: 9/10] The plot was simple--mothers taking their kids to a cram school in order to get into the elementary school of their choice, but the result was great and the cast was excellent. | | 3. | Comments by Geezer [Rating: 10/10] Yamaguchi Tomoko is amazing. This is the story of a reasonable young mom who moves to Tokyo... and episode by episode gets deeper and deeper into competetive parenting. It's hilarious. | | 4. | Comments by toiling [Rating: 8/10] Pretty cute family dorama. Love the way Yamaguchi performed. | | 5. | Comments by Wynter [Rating: 10/10] One of the best comedies I've seen. Tomoko-san does a brilliant job and the drama doesn't carry a single dull moment. |
