I got this since I am a great fan of the manga. Big disappointment. Cheesy movie, not very good. They tried to cram so much of the story into a couple of hours and it just didn't work--that story is way to convoluted to do that. The acting was absolutely terrible. Do yourselves a favor--see Meteor Garden instead. Yeah, it's not Jdrama, but the acting, directing, production values, and just about everything else is much better. Who knows, maybe someday Hana Yori Dango may circle back to Japan and show up there again? ;-D It's a good story, after all. |

unlike the true hana yori dango, this version just focused on the bickering & the comedy. entertaining, but lacked the emotional depth of hyd. i would recommend the tw version, Meteor Garden I anytime~ :P |

The movie isn't very good. It gets a six because of Fujiki, and perhaps whatever ounce of love I have for the manga. I don't like the pacing, and the scripts was not great either. |
