Shot in the beautiful natural setting of Alsace in northeast France, this moving drama tells of a Japanese businessman on duty in Europe. His family life crumbles because he is too busy with his work. After his wife leaves him and returns to Tokyo with their daughter, the deressed hero begins wandering eventually settling in a beautiful small village in Alsace, where he is warmly welcomed by the villagers. He decides to stay and begins a new, more peaceful life. As the tale later unfolds, his family ties are happily restored thanks to the understanding he has gained through his newly adopted home life. |
