Terusaki Aiko teaches at a school in the country. Her class contains only one student: Tappei. Although Tappei is devoted to his teacher completely, the school finds itself in an awkward situation: either the school hosts the "rural education" program and succeeds, or the school will be shut down.
The class of one soon becomes a class of six, as five students from Tokyo are sent to attend this new program. Terusaki sensei must now prove herself as a strong, valid teacher... as well as find a way - with the help of the people around her - to keep the school open. | | Wynter |

| | 1. | Heartwarming drama with a killer cast [Rating: 9/10] I started watching this drama for two reasons: recommendations and Kuninaka Ryoko. How was I to know that I would find Eita AND Shiraishi Miho?!
The already amazing cast then came together with a story I can relate to. After all, I’m a teacher, and I love kids, and I’m constantly in a battle trying to prove myself. What wasn’t there in this drama for me to relate to?
To be sure, the plot/storyline is very average. It’s been done a trillion times. But the casting for this show is what makes it memorable.
I highly recommend this drama to anyone looking for a soft, heartwarming experience. | | Reviewed by Wynter on 20 June 2009 |

| | 1. | Comments by yume [Rating: 4/10] Couldn't push myself to be interested..... | | 2. | Comments by shozen [Rating: 8/10] i like the story. very heart warming. i dont know why but the kid looks so much like me when i was a kid. its kind of scary. | | 3. | Comments by xploring [Rating: 8/10] It is charming, heartwarming, with simple but meaningful writing and storyline. Although the characters may be too nice to be real, I find them endearing and sincere. Cinematography and background music were both excellent too. There is nothing very original about it I guess, but I enjoyed it very much. | | 4. | Comments by Anime Dad [Rating: 9/10] This is not your action-packed drama. It's more of a slow-paced series, reflecting the pace of life in the rural village it's set in. The school in this village is in danger of closing, as it has one principal, one head teacher, one homeroom teacher - and one student only. This changes when a handful of students from Tokyo arrive for the "Rural Study Program".
I really liked this series. Anyone who loved Kuninaka Ryoko in Churasan will love her in this. There's also some good younger actors (Eita, great as always, and Shiraishi Miho, who is impressive), some old pros (Fubuki Jun, and Jinnai Takanori, who to me will always be The Man Who Slapped Yonekura Ryoko in Koshonin), and a bunch of cute kids, who are the real stars. Jinnai Takanori really hams it up here, but he's always entertaining. The story charts the changes that happen when the kids arrive - changes to the kids, the teachers, the locals and the town.
It might not be for everyone, but some, like me, will love it. | | 5. | Comments by Wynter [Rating: 9/10] An average story, but otherwise a heartwarming drama with an amazing cast! | | 6. | Comments by yougashi [Rating: ?/10] still to watch - Eita is love! |
