Horror and fantasy
What happens when an ordinary teenage daughter realizes that her loving father was merely a spiritual ghost? A horror story with a touch of love and fantasy. Originally written by the best selling novelist, Miri Ryu.
Ame is in Junior high and lives with her father, who is a butterfly collector in search of the Troides Magellunus. One fateful day, he decided to take a trip to Taiwan in hopes of catching the elusive specimen. Unfortunately, something goes wrong…. and Ame is left with only memories of Father… Memories that seem to have allowed him to return… as a spirit guide for Ame. | | TV Asahi |

This drama is actually based on a book by Yu Miri (not Ryu) and the two are VERY different from each other. However, the drama by itself is a very great interpretation of the story - the characters are really fleshed out, and it's a lot lighter than the book is. Good scariness to it, but the story was like a continuous cycle, the beginning & ending were the main keys, and the girls relationship with Mokomichi's character, though I wish it had a little more "umph" in the story, I guess you could say. I like the scary ghost encounters and the fathers situation and the neighbor, she was cool, but it's not the best story. This is without question the weirdest premise for a drama that I have ever seen. I wasn't at all sure what to expect, but I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it truly is. It's not just good, it's astonishingly good. It's amazing how this show can be frighteningly creepy one minute, then hilariously funny the next - and then painfully, heart-wrenchingly sad, without any warning. I chanced upon this drama and decided to give it a try. Not a bad drama. I was expecting more of a horror theme but than it's more of a mystery and family theme. It's a story about the father and daughter relationship. I must say the bond between the 2 characters are very strong. This series was quite unique. Part of it had a creepy horror element, but for the most part, it was a touching drama between a girl and her father, who lives with her as a ghost without her knowing that he is dead.

A fantastic show and a real emotional rollercoaster. Sawamura Ikki is a really fantasitc and charasmatic actor, I really felt for hsi character he made me laugh and cry, he was really fantastic in his role. All the supporting cast did a fantastic job too, there wasn't a character that I did not like or that I thought didn't do a good job.
Like when I watched 1 Litre of Tears I knew the end was inevitable, which made it all the more heart renching.
