i've enjoyed this 2 epi drama as much as i could !!! haa ~~ "Satomi Hakenden" has amazing and great casts !!! Takki perfomed really well in it ! was amazed by his acting skills ~ Kanno Miho suprised me the most ! compared to the soft characters she acted in he previous dramas ~ this is soooooo evil and scary !! the way she speaks and laugh really made the viewers shivers ~ as for Shoon .. for first timers in acting , he was good !! It has a lot of exciting visual effect .. which made the whole drama soo perfect !! this drama was my first drama in 2006 .. and it was a really good start for my 2006 .. haha ~~ NOT-TO-BE-MISSED !!!!! |

A good series to start off the new year. It had high production values with an all-star cast: Takizawa Hideaki, Watabe Atsuro, Nakama Yukie, Kanno Miho, Ayase Haruka too name a few. The story itself was a fairy-tale epic about a princess who wishes to save her land.
The special was only 2 episodes long so the action progressed fairly quickly. Acting was done well, although the fighting scenes were a little odd for a few parts. I found that the fight on the roof in particular between Oshio Manabu (ninja) and Takizawa Hideaki (samurai) was a little Crouching-Tiger-ish minus the good sword fighting, but you can't blame them.
All in all, it's a fun watch since it's not too long and there's a great cast. |

An enjoyable special with many familiar faces. As a fan of Inu Yasha, this drama special had a rather predictable plot but was nevertheless well done. CG was a bit overly-intrusive at times but otherwise had some good special effects. Overall, not a bad SP for 2006. |

A curse that threatens the existence of the country of Satomi is on the verge of being uplifted, if only the eight warriors can band together to save the country in time. I liked the SFX, I liked many of the performances. This all star cast delivered an excellent show! I recommend watching it - especially if you love samurai shows. |

A very good movie. Great interesting cast. The story made me curious, so I wanted to watch it. But originally, I watched it because of Takizawa, Nakama and Shoon.
The story is interesting about finding the eight dog warriors and make peace over Satomi Kingdom by making end to the evil curse that Kanno Miho had spread. The movie is around three and a half hours long. I don't think it was either too long or too short. It was perfect to make the movie good enough. I either didn't think that the story felt like only dragging or something. It went on smoothly and nicely. There were nice effects on fightings and it was cool and looked real.. Really good acting.
Overall, I can't think of any faults.. It was a really interesting movie and I highly recommend it to everyone ^_^. |

I watched a couple of episodes on TV, too bad I didn't get a chance to finish it >.< The acting is not top notch, but I like the story. The fighting scenes are also not as exciting as in Chinese films =P |

Was really bored for the first part... felt that things happened too slow and half the show seemed to be merely introducing characters who you know were kind of just making up the numbers. Nevertheless, the later parts picked up a little so saved it from being a complete waste of time. Ayase Haruka looked particularly out of place with the hairstyle and I was kind of disappointed to find out that Nakama Yukie only had a small role in the show. |
