Enjoyable Romantic drama but as in all dramas of this genre lacking realism. Plaudits should go to the supporting cast, if Saeko sounded sqeaky and was annoying to you... well I suppose that means she did a good job however the performance I enjoyed the most was Kobayashi Mao's, who provided a short but very touching perfomance, I hope she lands a leading role soon.P.S.Don't watch this if you're going on a diet.

so far I like it Kyoko is good not my favorite performance but still good Koide is passable but it's nothing new still enjoyable though, and that Saeko girl has the most annoying voice on earth therefore making her the most annoying person on earth

Well, I skipped several episodes of this drama as it aired on television and I didn't feel like I was missing very much. Some parts were corny and made me laugh...but I found it only "okay."

4. good drama ! [Rating: 7/10]
watched it. The plot is interesting and HaseKyo's acting is superb. Maybe it's not that great, it's still an above-average drama and worth watching.

The drama plot is not that attractive, however the leading actress did a pretty good job. Of course, the leading actor is cute.

One wonders how Hasekyo and Koide Keisuke got paired in what is obviously a horrible drama matchmaking. Koide exudes little aura when next to Hasegawa Kyoko, who seems to be preoccupied with herself and the fact that her love interest co-star appears to be more of a brother than a potential boyfriend! Koide shined in his high school roles, and perhaps playing the main lead for a romantic comedy as the younger guy was a bad move on his agency's part? Furthermore, the script bleeds with boredom with only standard "love drama" tricks to peek viewer interest once every 2 episodes. Hasegawa Kyoko in a beautiful ball gown, Hasegawa Kyoko and her super adorable 'street/beach/casual styled clothing', Hasegawa Kyoko and her stubborn personality--all things we've grown accustomed to from Hasekyo's previous performances. Her character as a chef is flat, dull and uninspiring. Even "My Little Chef" was more entertaining and that was barely a blip on the charts. Nishimura Masahiko's acting talent is wasted in this Sunday night filler drama--he definitely didn't need this on his acting resume...And dear, dear Saeko. Since she hasn't had that many roles, let alone had many where her character needed to be changed, I suppose I'll let that slide. She was about the only breath of fresh air in the drama, but unfortunately overly sweetened.

If you're not a fan of any of these actors, stay away.

I LOVE Hasegawa Kyoko. She is one of the most natural lead actresses I have come across in a while, but still so underrated. More people need to know how to appreciate her subtle yet highly-competent acting skills. In Oishii Puropozu, she was delightful as a headstrong yet talented chef in love with a younger man, and a somewhat spoilt rich brat at that. But I felt that the plot and the male lead casting let her down somewhat. Both were quite uninspiring and I wondered at the possibilities if both had been done correctly. I love dramas about food and therefore I have a soft spot for this one. While I thought young Koike Keisuke did a competent job and had surely come a long way from his student role in Gokusen II, I actually can't help feeling that if another actor was cast in the role of the male protagonist -- say, Akanishi Jin, for example, it would have made for a much interesting combination.

I really enjoyed this drama. Like NC I got it on a whim and like NC it really suprised my, I very much enjoyed it.
It was for most part a fantastic show, it was great to see Keisuke Koide in something without the afro XD (haven't seen him in anything apart from NC) I couldn't believe it was the same person his character was completely different, I guess it proves he's a good actor. It was my second Kyoko Hasegawa drama, she impressed me in this too.
It was a very, VERY cute love story. The end seemed a little rushed? Open and in general I didn't like it! Well ... that's my opinion. The rest of the show had a nice pace, the onlything that stops me giving it a higher mark is I'd like to see an SP or something, just to make me completely satisfied, tie things up!
Anyway a great show! Glad I watched it <3

Extremely formulatic love story - accidental kiss in second episode, real action in episode 7 and 8 and break-up due to people meddling in episodes 9 and 10 but of course a silver lining in the last 2 minutes. It's a in a way a comforting watch because you have seen it all before (really all) and I thought the chemistry between Hasegawa and Koide was, if not great, acceptable enough. I didn't like any of the side characters, from the manager, the assistant, the banker/ex-lover, the brother to the father plus there was Saeko (only acceptable in Nodame). The kissing scenes were terribly awkward but I know that Koide amd Hasegawa can pull it off so I blame direction for this.

It's hard to stomach this drama which could have had so much more promise had it casted better leads (though the script left much to be desired too). Hasegawa Kyoko delivers a bland and uninspiring performance as a small Italian restaurant chef. Haven't we seen all those expressions before in previous roles? At least we were saved the pouts then. Koide Keisuke feels like her younger brother and there are no sparks between them and the ensuing romance is kinda unfathomable and anything but hot and riveting. Nishimura Masahiko has seen better days. This was just a waste of his acting talent.

This is another of my guilty pleasure doramas, it has tons and tons of cliches and besides Hasegawa Kyoko the rest of the cast isnLt that impressive, but for some reason i really loved this dorama. The old woman/young guy relationship was very well played and i think that made this dorama much more enjoyable.
Anyways kudos to Hasegawa Kyoko but Koide Keisuke should stay away from this kind of roles, he was good in Rookies but not that good here.

Not a half bad drama, although I had a hard time believing the character of Katsuragi Haruki. Well acted, and definitely funny, but a bit too formulaic. The ending was also not satisfying. Some of the side-characters, as well, were confusing or annoying. But still I enjoyed the story. Hasegawa Kyoko is a top rate actress.
8. Comments by natzumi [Rating: 8/10]
The main chara is such a pretty boy or should I say petty. Honestly, I don't like the 2 main character combo. I just thought that it didn't work out that well. Storywise, hmmm... it's alright, I guess. hmm... I didn't pay much attention watching this one. For some reason, I wasn't that interested.
9. Comments by rikastar [Rating: 6/10]
I think Hasekyo is more suited for more glam characters XD But she's still so pretty <3 Unlike what some have said, I feel that the pairing of the 2 leads is pretty good imo, they have some cute moments together. The only thing is that the storyline is quite generic and not quite engaging.
10. Comments by sweet_tapioca [Rating: 6/10]
Although the storyline is interesting, Hasegawa Kyoko totally ruin the drama. I think she is one of the worst Japanese actress ever. Seriously, I think she has only one expression that she does for every emotion.

stupid dorama and useless! I have a question: Why Hasegawa is so cute in tentai kanzoku and so ugly here??? And restaurant-dorama are just getting boring. I feel having seen this kind of dorama 7569 times!

some kind of modern cinderella story without a cinderella end.
i think there is no real end at all! the story is about the conflict between business and personal emotions. (light-mind-dorama)

Pretty weird and all in the beginning, and I didn't like it much. Towards the middle I got to like it so much more and the characters became more lovable. Nice drama.

A ok watch...I've seen worse. Although I didn't think there was much chemistry between the lead actors, I liked the characters. The last episode was disappointing.

Not a bad show. Some say that it is akin to a typical korean show but I still prefer this though. Makes me feel like having pasta every time!

Light n simple romantic drama of young celebrity-like Italian Resto owner and his beautiful n talented chef. Trattoria Bambina! Bine!

The story is pretty much predictable. However, the leading actress did a good job to pull my interest to watch further.

Yet another food series. Seems like a mix of Lunch no Joou and Antique. But so far, not a bad watch.
