Synopsis

Takashi Sorimachi plays school art teacher, Enzo Furiya who takes care of his 5-year-old daughter of whom he has no idea who her mother is. He also lives with his four siblings whose fathers are all different. Enzo’s daughter suffers from severe atopic dermatitis, so he throws himself into managing her diet to alleviate her condition. He is so determined to raise the little daughter well, he doesn’t appear to have any spare time for a girlfriend. And yet Enzo finds himself drawn to Misuzu Kaneko (Akiko Yada) a health teacher at his school. Enzo pursues life passionately for his little girl and his family.

2.	HOTMAN HOTMAN HOTMAN! What can I say??? [Rating: ?/10] Great drama! Has the whole "family" issue embedded all over ti! Loved this drama! Yada Akiko is so damn fine in it too! I'd say comparing this to G.T.O., Sorimachi's acting has improved a lot! He's still got a long way to go but it's good to see that it's improving!!!

4.	Hotman Rulz! [Rating: 10/10] I love this dorama! Takashi Sorimachi is so cute. Nanami is a little darling. I almost cried watching every episode. I'm almost done watching. Two more episodes, I think. I can't wait. I hope Enzo ends up with Misuzu and they can be a happy family. : )

6.	Pretty Good [Rating: 9/10] A totally different role for Sorimachi Takashi, but he was amazing in it, really enjoyed this dorama, great dramtic and comedic scenes. Nanami is also very cute, which makes the dorama even more enjoyable to watch.

7.	My review is soooo late! [Rating: 10/10] ahh.. am so sorry to manami!! honto honto ni gomenasai na~ watched the drama for the 2nd time and realised i have not give a review for this great x3 show.... okie.. firstly: plot /story is good... not fantastic, is the kind of family show that will keep the audience chasing etc., but not original.. story is good, the actors, takashi is okie... believe that it can be improved. soshite, the lead actress (or 2nd?), akiko is good in bringing out the show... i find her quite funny most of the times.. :) nanami~~~ i really like her.. she is just grreeeaat!.. cute and good at acting, at least for such an age.. :) Of course, bought the show because of manami aka shima... she is really good at her acting!! superb :) :) and i would think that she is the most kawaii actress, besides the little kid.. great that she can act in this show, with at least a few more scenes, compared to most of her previous shows.. yokatta!! may have said this numereous times.. but pls support manami!! manami!! manami!! ....

8.	Watch this with your gf! [Rating: 10/10] Dam, i could not put this one down. I just kept on watching. I'd like to call this drama GTO from the back end. You take Onizuka sensei, milk of him of all the unorthodox methods of GTO (this is not a school drama however), and add in his cute kid with no mama. Good family drama even though it's not truely your normal family. You could feel the warmth of the family often and it's nice to see people always doing their best.

9.	Pretty Good [Rating: 8/10] Another great Sorimachi Takashi dorama. Kinda reminded me of GTO, but with a family twist. The little girl in it is so cute, although at times it did get a bit too dramatic, but overall a pretty entertaining dorama, a must watch if you are a Sorimachi Takashi fan.

13.	not that good... [Rating: 5/10] Was just okay. Thought the story was a little bit draggy, characters are overacting, and they fight over silly things. the only thing i probably like about this drama, is the cute little nanakimi. that is what kept me going on watching the series.

14.	Above average [Rating: 7/10] A family drama with decent plots. It's an entertaining show. At times too much moralizing, not nesessary to point out that clearly. Another thing that bothered me a bit was Enzos constant pestering about his daughter Nanami whenever Misuzu's around. Where I live that's a deathsin to do on a date. And a girl of Akiko Yadas caliber deserves slightly more attention....don't u think? Anyway, this drama's still good, above average and well worth my time. To me, 7,5 would seem like an exact rating.

15.	No Perfect But a Good Drama [Rating: 8/10] I thought the story was good , based off of a manga, just a few things made it seem weird, like having Sorimachi Takashi play the role of Dad, and Oldest brother, I kept seeing him as a very angry guy, but through much of the episodes his character changes and so did my opinion of him....the girl playing Nanami is SO cute and fits perfectly with the character in the story with the disease "atopi"....

GTO 2 [Rating: 10/10] this is one of the best dramas ive seen. each ep is self contained heart warming tale. the characters plays off each other wonderfully. takashi shows alot of charisma and is real cool, a more subdued onizuka? nanami is really cute and acts way better than i could have imagined for someone her age. the supporting cast is terrific, akiko was very funny and looked hot, her expressions were priceless, esp when shes drunk ^^ of course the standout is manami, im glad she finally got more screen time, shes very beautiful in this and shows she can act too. go manami!! overall very touching, a must see unless you have a heart of stone ;)

17.	Family at its best [Rating: 9/10] I was quite skeptical at first, thinking that it was some cheesy family drama and that pple were only watching it because of the actors/actresses. Man was I wrong. To anyone who's wondering if they shld watch it or not. My advice is: if at any point in your life, you have been unhappy over favourtism, over protective family members, not being able to fit in sch, or have fun with your friends this is the one show that you can really relate to. Watch, laugh, cry, smile at this unique family as they address problems faced by almost everyone.

24.	A Superb Family Drama [Rating: 10/10] This drama series exceeded all expectations that I had for it. Sorimachi Takashi shines in this series in his portrayal of the protective and loving, Enzo. At first I thought that this was going to be a typical family drama, but it wasn't. It was much more than just that. Each of the family members did a wonderful job in portraying their characters and I definitely felt that family chemistry between all of them. At times it seemed to be unbelievable that they weren't related in real life. Each character was memorable and endearing, especially Nanami-chan. I highly recommend watching this drama. Very rarely do I give dramas a rating of 10/10 these days (since I've watched so many), but this drama really shines and I really think you'd be missing out if you didn't watch this series, especially if you're a fan of Sorimachi Takashi. His acting is so convincing in this series and his character would touch you.

26.	Average 'dramatic' dorama [Rating: 6/10] I can see how the dorama tries to make you feel warm and fussy about family... but i find them abit dramatic over little things. At the beginning i was kind of lost what was happening because they kept arguing with each other for no reason, and their acting wasnt very realistic. However there were a few comical situations and the characters did grew on me a little bit including the cute nanami-chan. Overall the story flows and the end was very nice. One thing though, why does the actors have so much bad skin??? I think the camera needs a better filter...hmmm

27.	super touching [Rating: 10/10] While watching this drama with my mom and brother, we all cried. The story was very good...I definitely felt bad for the family because they go through so much. I also loved the artists in this drama. Nanami-chan was sooo cute! Watching her talk to Enzo...awww don't you just want to hug her? This was one of my first dramas and I enjoyed it lots. And as soon as I think of this drama, the theme song pops into my head. Did I mention that I love that too?

28.	A warm and fuzzy feeling [Rating: 7/10] Sorimachi Takeshi stars in this warm family dorama in the role of Furiya Enzo aka. Great Father Enzo. The dorama is entertaining and the supporting cast is OK but feels a tad unrealistic at times. For sure, the comedy and warmth of this jdorama makes the viewing experience a pleasure as you watch the trials and tribulations of Enzo's family. NAnami is soooo cute! :)

29.	One of the Best Dramas Ever! [Rating: 10/10] I really love everthing about this drama. It is sad, funny, and encouraging. It is about a family that is struggling with many difficulties but even through the harshest times, they all help each other out and care for each other. The actors were absolutely fantastic. hey even the theme song is good. I loved how it is truly uplifting and wonderful in every way. The characters are funny, the script is smart, and the whole drama is fantastic. I think that Hotman is the perfect example for "Ganbattene"

30.	"GFE 2 (Great Father Enzo)" [Rating: 10/10] This is my 2nd best influential drama next to GTO live drama. Takashi Sorimachi' acting takes a high level in this one and has mature a lot!!. all of the cast here has TALENT!! specially Nanami she's cute. try the next Season. Hotman 2 it's a great sequel to this one too. Samuel Samaniego of Quezon City, Philippines.

31.	Great show, not the best though [Rating: 8/10] I find the characters quite enjoyable in this show. However Enzo's character does get annoying at times with his stubborness. Plus Soramichi is in it so that's always a bonus ;). The show in general is very cute and just easy going.

32.	Warm and Fuzzy [Rating: 8/10] Hotman is one of those dramas that make you feel all warm and fizzy inside. It’s not a drama has considerable depth and philosophy, so if you’re looking for something profound than this wouldn’t be a good pick. On the contrary, it’s quite easy-flowing and simple, and this simplicity makes it a good watch. Yes, there are corny scenes. Yes, it is predictable. But sometimes you just need a drama that has these qualities! The casting in this drama was done brilliantly. There is so much chemistry between the family dynamic and between the family and supporting characters. Yamauchi Nana is a delight to watch and I’m sure she’ll grow up to be a talented young actress. There is a sequel to this drama so I won’t criticise the end. I would like to say that I’m glad Nanami’s mother was not revealed. Like Shima says in the drama, it’s not important whether we know who the mother is or not. It’s not about the mother at all. It’s about Enzo and Nanami. End of story.

34.	almost [Rating: 9/10] A family drama about a group of siblings with different fathers living under the same roof. The head of the household, Enzo, is the older brother who has a cute daughter, Nanami, who has a skin disease which breaks out into uncontrollable itching. Despite Enzo pampering his kawaii child, it's not bad. The doctors all give bad advice. One doctor says to isolate Nanami because of her stress and give her independence from her family. Independence at age 5??? In episode 7, Nanami wakes up without a sound right when her big sister leaves. Later in episode 7, she doesn't wake at all when Enzo screams at his siblings to get out of the house. Enzo wasn't mature enough to ask them to leave for their own good in a better way, but he was mature when it came to talking with his siblings about their fire damaged home and what they were going to do next before that? The cast is very good, especially Yada Akikko. It's a good drama despite problems with the Enzo character IMO.

When I first read the description of this series, I thought it was going to be another one of those cookie-cutter family dramas, but surprisingly it was so much more than just that. Sorimachi Takashi shines in this role as Enzo and each of the other characters do a spectacular job. There was definitely a sense of family chemistry in this series that made each character even that much more endearing, especially Nanami. ^_^ The ending was very touching and sweet. I highly recommend watching this drama. I don't like how others have called this GTO 2 because it's not GTO and I felt that Sorimachi's character in this series was different from that of the overzealous, over-righteous Onizuka. We saw the softer side of him in this series. Great work. A must watch!

The bond between Enzo (Takashi) & Nanami (Nana) was simply the best. I'm glad i didn't miss such a great series. One last thing, 'Haha, Kuma da'. He is one of the best drama actors out there - period. The problem that arises however, is that basically _everyone_ in Hotman (maybe with the exception of Yada Akiko) is outshone by him. Their acting is on such a different level that at times (especially by the two twins) it just feels pathetic. If you can look beyond that, it's a nice drama, without any special plot-twists.

You take Onizuka sensei, milk of him of all the unorthodox methods of GTO (this is not a school drama however), and add in his cute kid with no mama. Good family drama even though it's not truely your normal family. You could feel the warmth of the family often and it's nice to see people always doing their best.
