I think it was hard to take the story and put it in drama form, at parts it felt too slow. Nari, Mimura and the little boy were really good though. Especially Nari, this is the first time I'm watching him play such a serious role. I had doubts at first but obviously he managed to pull it off wonderfully. The town they live in is so scenic and pretty, it makes a city girl like me want to experience living there too. |

If you loved the movie, you'll love the drama too. I think Hiroki did a great job as did Mimura. I thought since I've watched the movie and knew what the outcome would be. But nevertheless, I ended up crying at the end agian. Yes yes...I'm a crybaby. |

Perhaps a bit slow when put into drama form. There are too many questions left open that could've been looked over in the 2-hour movie form. And it's very hard to see Hiroki as a father, a lot moreso than Mimura, anyway. The acting was good, but some of it felt forced... |

I adore Narimiya Hiroki, and so when I heard that he was doing a new drama, of course I had to check it out eventually. I have to admit, that I did not expect him to play this sort of role. It really goes to show how he has grown as an actor. While waiting for english subtitles for the drama, I decided to watch the film version of this heart wrenching story. To compare the drama and movie, the movie definetly has a sweeter, softer tone to it, with a higher level of acting and scenery. But the drama, I tink, is a fine interpretation as well! Everyone did well in their roles, and I was glad to watch it! |

If you have watched the movie version, you might find this version a little blant? I was reading the book as I am watching this series the same time it is OA in Japan. In the beginning, I am not too convinced by Narimiya's protray of Aio Takumi...Nakamura deliver such an awesome performance in the movie version, I can't help comparing. And besides, Narimiya appears to be too young in a father's role. But it all turns out rather well in the end. I would say give this series a chance. |

There are parts that are so heart-wrenching! ;o; I actually read the book that this drama is based of, and I feel that this drama isn't completely true to it. However, this IS a dorama with 10 episodes, so adding to the story was inevitable. It did lag quite a bit too much though. The boy who played Yuji was RIGHT ON; he was amazing. |

The drama version of Ima, Ai ni Yukimasu failed to successfully capture the spirit present in the novel and the movie. While not a bad drama to watch, the many changes and addition makes the show stray from the original story at parts, and the general lack of freshness in the story contributes to its mediocrity. The drama falls short of expectations under the smash success of the movie version of the story. |

it's not like THE best drama i have seen, but i think it is a very sweet drama and it's still pleasant to watch. i recommend watching the Movie version first, however. hiroki narimiya does a good job as a timid young father, a role very different from his past. the little boy's character is more developed than in the movie, probably because he is a little older when the series came out (they use the same actor for the little boy Yuji). |

The show's pacing is pretty slow, but the last parts of it really begin to shine! The family is wonderful, I had my doubts with newcomer Mimura with a diverse actor such as Narimiya Hiroki, but they pulled it off and some parts you just want to keep egging them on!! Its a great slow story, if you've the patience, but it really shines as it closes, everything is drawn into the end and ends wonderfully!! Some parts are sad though....but its all good! |

This is my all-time FAVOURITE I just LOVED the plot and the atmosphere of the drama! Hiroki's acting was FANTASTIC! I would love to have a husband like him :) The drama made me think a lot. I don't give it a ten because I though it was a shame that the ending was the one we are expecting. Besides, I wanted the girl to meet her parents but she didn't. A VERY ROMANTIC dorama. you're in the middle of a fairy tail. In the countryside, untemporal feeling. It's very delicate and... anyway I love it. But maybe it' too much a fairy atmosphere and it is hard to believe. Watch it like if you see a dream! Naraba monku iemasen! |

I saw the movie first and like it better. The drama follows the story line and intorduces a few more characters and has more time to explore parts of the movie but it seems a bit slow. Overall the story is still very good. |

Very good dorama indeed.. but i must agree that u should watch this first, then watch the movie.... The dorama gives more details but if u watch the movie first probably u will find that the dorama is not that good....

All the cast did a great job adn that little boy is just an amazing actor for someone that young. Great scenery too, very soft and subtle. I've never seen the movie so I have nothing to compare it with. I would give it higher rating but it was a bit too slow for me and at times cheesy. I didn't like the teenage story and they should pick more suitable actress to play young mio. |

I love the relationship between the main characters starting from school, and how misunderstanding eventually revealed episode by episode. such a sweet love story. |
