Top watched dramas of 2007
Fri, December 21, 2007
Video Research Ltd. has published a top 10 list of the highest-rated television dramas this year. The list includes both tanpatsu and renzoku dramas, though only the top episode counted for the latter.
#1 was the final episode of "Karei Naru Ichizoku" (30.4%), which starred Takuya Kimura and other popular celebrities. TBS ran the show during the winter, the same season it aired "Hana Yori Dango 2," which ranked #2 with its finale (27.6%). NTV also had a hit that season with "Haken no Hinkaku," whose closer was third on the list at 26.0%.
"Dondo Bare" was #4 (24.8%), slightly ahead of the "Galileo" opener (24.7%). #6 was the first part of the Seicho Matsumoto adaptation "Ten to Sen" that marked Beat Takeshi's return to TV drama.
In August, NTV aired "Kimi ga Kureta Natsu" as part of its "24 Hour Television" charity program, and the starring pair of Hideaki Takizawa and Kyoko Fukada brought in ratings of 23.3%.
The February 4 episode of "Fuurinkazan" scored 22.9% to rank 8th on the list. This was followed by Fuji TV's repeat of the "HERO Special" in September (22.1%). The "Hanazakari no Kimitachi e" finale and the "Iryu 2" premiere tied for 10th with 21.0% ratings.

I have been looking for a 2003 movie with Satomi in it called My Grandpa (Watashi no Guranpa). It also stars Tadanobu Asano (from Ichi the Killer) in it and I really want to watch it but have not been able to find a copy anywhere. Apparently it has won a few awards in Japan.
Does anyone know where I could buy it or watch it online? Thanks.

For me, Gakky is no surprise as her drama and movie Koizora did very well. 2007 was her year. But 2008 should be Satomi's turn.
Yes. ThyGriever. I would love to see the pictures of calendar.

I think no one has done the sub yet, I can't find it anywhere.
Btw, is your sig taken from the calendar or some tv show?
I am not quite familiar with that pic.
it's a screen cap from a tv show. I just love her poses. If she poses in front of a camera I think I'll faint and nosebleed She's way too much for me!
Well, please update me if you ever hear the subs come out. Btw, I got the new Kindai and the photos are of her with the funky hair and dress. She still looks good but I don't really like that style.. _________________

I liked your picks on the photos of "aya" with the panada mask on the face
LOL. Aya is going to become a zookeeper in China after she retires from the Entertainment industry....she's spent a lot of her money stockpiling bamboo shoots so she can grub after she settles down.

In addition to 2 movies, Satomi-chan is going to have a play on stage this year, too.

Satomi Ishihara to lead revival of Kohei Tsuka play
Thu, January 10, 2008 (5:55pm EST)
"Bakumatsu Junjouden," a popular play by dramatist Kohei Tsuka, is returning to the stage later this year with Tsuka directing. This is his first time directing it in 18 years.
The play, which was turned into a movie in 1991, portrays the Shinsengumi swordsman Okita Soji as actually being a woman. Satomi Ishihara will star in this role, previously played by Riho Makise for the film. Former Takarazuka top star Tsubasa Makoto will plays Sakamoto Ryoma.
Performances will be held at the Shinbashi Enbujo in August.
