That's typical: the sniffles are part of a post-nasal drip which results in the irritation of your throat...

It's probably too late, but when I get the sniffles and it doesn't go away in a short period of time ( < 1 hour), I pop an antihistamine to dry myself up or else I get a sore throat... Preventative maintenance. Sweat

Well, according to the S.F. Chron's Business page, Comcast has finally dropped the other shoe.

They are going to restrict monthly broadband use.

The limit will be 250 GB per month.

Anyone who downloads and or uploads more, will get a notice after the first offense. And their service will be cut off if they go over twice within 6 months.

That's bothersome.

If there's another ISP in your area, go for it.

On topic: Feeling ill and might go home in an hour or so. Sad

I think Comcast provides both internet and cable TV for him... Not an easy separation, I think. Sweat

Is FIOS available?

Or just give up cable and get DSL... I don't have that problem, 'cause I never had cable to begin with. Beaten

I definitely think it's wack that Comcast is imposing a limit on their customers' bandwith...but 250GB seems kind of high. I dunno, is that unreasonably strict? I'm not saying it isn't, I'm actually asking. In any event if AT&T did that I'd probably be bent about it, too.

250GB is plenty of bandwidth, but for them to all of a sudden impose a limit, is bad. The FCC slapped them for trying to throttle BT, so Comcast said, "Screw you FCC. We'll put a cap instead"

I moved to DSL once the throttling bit happened. I'm planning to change to DirecTV soon. And no, FIOS is not yet available where I live. Shake Head

Good luck with the move...I have AT&T Yahoo DSL and it's been good enough to me. Hell with all this B.S...we need fiber in metropolitan markets already.

I thought we already had a limit since they said we went over. When I read that, I was just like... "wha??" I guess the limit seems big but since we have 5 to 6 computers all using the same account here, we use a lot of bandwidth.

Oh yes, multiple computers using one pipe...I can see how that could exceed the bandwith cap with relative ease.

Probably not right now, but you can't stop progress. I have no doubt that in the not too distant future 250Gb will be average. Remember when a 20mb hard drive was state of the art?
