As an aside, how many times has this player "To Be Named Later" been part of trades?
    This from wiki:
In 1962, when Harry Chiti was traded to the New York Mets from the Cleveland Indians for a PTBNL, and the teams could not agree on a final deal within the six-month timeframe, the PTBNL was, oddly enough, Harry Chiti. The New York Mets traded him back to Cleveland for himself. Crazy

dodger's broxton blows another one, allowing the rockies to win, 4-3. I think if LA was out of it, broxton would be a good experiment, but since they are in the pennant race, they should hand the closer job to either park or kuo, IMHO.

Unbelievable. Shake Head

Dodgers take 6 of 7 from two possible playoff-bound teams (Phillies and Brewers), then get slapped around by the near-cellar dwelling Rockies. bleh

Inexplicable. Grumble

I think the Dodgers have thrown in the towel... They're getting pounded, 8-3, by the D-backs.

Another late season fade. Shake Head

Augh.

I don't get it: their pitching was doing well, then they get Manny for some punch, Maddux to cover for Penny, and they disintegrate. Shake Head

The curse of Mike Piazza.

The Dodger roller coaster is going up again: they beat the Padres, 6-4, to complete a sweep and wind their fifth straight game after losing eight straight. Sweat

Final meeting with the D-backs starting on Friday. Sweat Fingers crossed

Dodgers rout the D-Backs yesterday, 7-0, with the help of Andre Ethier's fives hits... Victory! Peace!

And the Dodgers lead today, 7-0, in the eighth inning thanks for five RBI's by Manny. Victory! Peace! Applaud

If they win, they'll take over first place in the Wacky West. Sweat

Just a week ago, they had lost their eighth straight... Go figure. Head Scratch

I was reading the bio on Mark McGwire in Wiki and noticed this interesting tidbit of irony:

McGwire married Stephanie Slemer, a former pharmaceutical sales representative from the St. Louis area, in Las Vegas on April 20, 2002.

Hmmmm. Rolling eyes
