Anybody see Mao Inoue in the film Kitaro (2007)?
It's based on the manga of the same name. The film is like a Japanese Harry Potter on acid. |

I haven't gotten around to it yet. Your description is one of the reasons I haven't watched it. Basically like a kid's film I'm not too big on those types of special effects either. |

The special effects rock. I couldn't even tell what was real and what wasn't... |

It was okay...it's a film called Kitaro. As astkv9 said, it's aimed at a younger audience, children to be exact. It wasn't anything special and Mao merely has a supporting role. If you want to see Mao Inoue act go for it, but if you don't see the film you won't be missing much. Before watching Kitaro I saw Mao, in Hana Ikusa...while you can't honestly compare the two films, at least Mao really gets a chance to act in Hana Ikusa. |
