First Cut: Restaurant turns to monkey business
Source: ABC News
Published: Tuesday, October 7, 2008 12:43 AEST
Expires: Monday, January 5, 2009 12:43 AEST

A Japanese tavern is using two macaques to serve its customers. The owner says he realised his pets could be used as waiters when the older of the pair started aping him at work. The monkeys, Yat-chan and Fuku-chan, work in shifts of up to two hours a day due to Japanese animal rights regulations.
