I sent a friend in America a parcel, and I thought I'd stick a couple of dramas in there, just to try her ( ).
I sent Kuitan and Kekkon Dekinai Otoko. Well, she got the parcel yesterday, and today she sent me a message telling me she had already watched FOUR episodes of Kekkon, and she loved it and was addicted!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm soooo pleased about this! To be honest, I was thinking she might not particularly be interested in the discs, so this has been a marvellous surprise for me.
If she likes Kuitan too, I'll try to drag her over to Jdorama.
Awww girl! You make us proud! _________________

Hook up the dried invertebrates (cuttlefish), son!
the fresh cuttle-fish from the Hokkaido fair at Mitsuwa this year was worth getting, even at $6.99 for a pack, it was the freshest and best i ever had, and i haven't had too much cuttle fish. It is amazing the quality, freshness of the food...opps, better save it for the food thread....haven't been here as much..lol _________________

Thanks! And there's now more to report - my friend has now told me she has finished disc one, and will probably finish disc two soon.
But wait! She's only gone and loaned the first disc to a friend of hers!
*breathes* I'm even more happy now, lol.

SUGOI! You're on a role!
I actually got a student to watch 1 litre. She was raving about how the horror flick Saw is one of those films that really makes you appreciate life. I'm not into horror movies myself, so I told her that there are other ways to make you appreciate life, and the example I used was 1 litre.
She went home and watched it on YT, and came in the next day raving about it. lol
Now she wants to watch more Japanese dramas. _________________

I know!
Eek, I'm not a fan of horror films either, and could never watch one, no matter how highly someone recommended it to me.
Whee, that's great you conveted one of your students, Wynter! Do you know if she has continued with dramas?
