What a crazy football weekend!
What was turning out to be the best division in the NFL, in the NFC East .... had the Redskins lose to the hapless Rams, the Romo/TO Circus lose to the shaky Cards, and most recently, the Giants to the winless Browns. Moreover, the top 3 teams of the past few years .... namely the Colts, Pats, and Bolts ... all are struggling.

The NFL is one WACKY league!!
And the Titans are the only remaining undefeated team.
No surprise about the Pats, with Brady out for the year... Colts are banged up as are the Chargers...
And anytime the Cowboys lose is a good, er, great day. _________________

Not that this is a huge difference, but the Browns were not winless before beating the Giants. They also beat Cincinatti. _________________

Not the best day in football, but seeing the Cowboys get smacked down by the Rams, 34-14, and the Saints losing 30-7 to the Panthers is a good thing. _________________

The Giants are going to take out their anger out on the Niners I hope they fire Mike Nolan soon.
Looks like you got your wish:
49ers Fire Nolan, Promote Singletary to Head Coach
SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP)—The 49ersf empty suit finally got the boot.
Mike Nolan, San Franciscofs dapper head coach, was fired Monday night after seven games in his fourth consecutive dismal season, ending his attempt to rebuild the five-time Super Bowl champions.
After four straight losses culminating in Sundayfs 29-17 defeat to the New York Giants, the 49ers didnft even wait until their bye next week before replacing Nolan with assistant head coach Mike Singletary. The former Hall of Fame linebacker in Chicago will take over for the rest of the season, general manager Scot McCloughan said.
So, what are you gonna do with all your spare time?

BMW
Mike Singletary took a couple of years off after his playing career... did some motivational speaking, did some teaching, then he became the Line Backers coach for the Baltimore Ravens.
After two years with the Ravens he came to the Niners with Mike Nolan.
For the last 3 and a half years he's been the Assistant Head Coach and inside Line Backers coach.
His rep is that he's a hard nosed detail oriented task master. And his players respect the hell out of him.
I'm pretty happy about this move, and I'm rooting for him big time.
(Now if Denise would only fire John.) _________________
