Of Hawaii's imagination, unfortunately. I wish my family would unimagine that horrible food. I even know people who eat Spam and rice. Just like that. Spam. And. Rice. Maybe with probably shoyu or ketchup to kill the taste, but I dunno. Either way, it's just yuck.

It sounds horrible. Given your heritage and all the wonderful food in the culture, you would think they would come up with something tastier bleh

Indeed....let's remember SPAM became ubiquitous because of WWII...never was a food that was propelled to popularity by war ever considered fine food.

I will admit that this SPAM pig is quite sexy though, in all its gelatinous, saturated fatty goodness.

Just read that Phillies outfielder and Hawaiian native Shane Victorino is getting criticized by PETA since he loves SPAM musubi: http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/blog/big_league_stew/post/Shane-Victorino-s-abiding-love-for-Spam-dish-ang?urn=mlb,115113

PETA is really desperate for publicity. Shake Head
