tsumaranai = boring, insignificant, unimportant

koto (in this case) =thing/matter/fact/circumstances/business/reason/experience

so tsumaranai koto would be something like "boring thing" - depending on context.

Adding koto to the end of a verb, like taberu koto, turns the verb into a noun in terms of grammar. So you can say "taberu koto ga suki," or "I like (the thing of) eating. A quick google will find you plenty of info on this.

Yeah, I think when the two are combined that is correct. If memory serves, as an adjective blue is aoi. Also sky can be spelled "sora" - so the AV actress is "Blue Sky"

It's not so much that it can be spelled "sora" so much as a linguistic phenomenon called assimilation.

The "s" sound is voiceless (that means that your vocal chords don't vibrate), but when you combine "sora" with another word that ends in a vowel (all vowels are voiced - the opposite of voiceless), the "s" sound assimilates, or becomes like, the preceding sound, and an "s" voiced is simply a "z". This happens all the time in Japanese:

�؂� [kiru] - to cut
���؂� [uraGiru] - to betray

�� [kami] - paper
�܂莆 [origami] - origami, or paper-folding

And so on and so forth.
It doesn't happen all the time, and there are certainly exceptions to the rule, but it's a good one to stick in the back of your brain.

So certain family names are really preference when it comes to the kami/gami kiru/giru stuff? For instance Hamasaki Ayumi's name. There are a lot of people who are called Hamazaki, but hers is one of the few that doesn't do the name change thingy.
