YUI headed for Hong Kong for first overseas concert

YUI has scheduled her first overseas concert, to be held in Hong Kong on June 26. She will perform at the AsiaWorld Arena in front of an anticipated capacity of 7,000.

YUI has been popular in Hong Kong ever since she starred in the 2006 film �gTaiyou no Uta,�h which was a remake of a successful 1993 Hong Kong movie. �gTaiyou no Uta�h gave YUI the big break she needed both in Japan and overseas, sending her to the top of the charts in multiple countries.

There have previously been offers for YUI to perform in Hong Kong, but the timing has not worked out until now. The announcement has spurred hopes that she may later do an Asia tour, given her widespread popularity.

YUI plans to sell original goods at the concert, and all of the revenue will be donated to earthquake relief efforts in Japan.

Tickets for the concert go on sale on April 26.

Singer-songwriter YUI has finally announced her first single of 2012. �gfight�h is her first single in 10 months and will be released on September 5th.

YUI�fs new song will be the set piece to the �e79th NHK Nationwide Junior High School Music Competition�f as well as one of the songs to NHK�fs �eMinna no Uta�f (for August and September 2012).

�gfight�h will come in two editions. The limited edition will come with a DVD (contents unknown). �gfight�h will also be available on ChakuUta on August 8th ahead of its official release.

YUI to release two 'best of' albums simultaneously


YUI will be releasing her first best-of albums �gGREEN GARDEN POP�h and �gORANGE GARDEN POP�h simultaneously on December 5th.

These best-of albums will contain not only her 21 singles, but also popular tracks from her previous albums, as well as the fans�f favorite songs from live concerts. There will be total of 36 tracks in the best-of albums.

YUI commented regarding the release of her first best-of albums, �gI am full of gratitude as I noticed while selecting the tracks for the albums that I have been being supported by the fans for a very long time. Both �egreen edition�f and �eorange edition�f are crammed full of my precious songs, so I would be happy to see everybody enjoy them.�h

Both best-of albums will have regular edition and limited edition, and more details including the track lists will be announced later on.

YUI to resume musical activities with the band 'FLOWER FLOWER'

Singer-songwriter YUI, who halted her musical activities at the end of last year, will resume her activities as part of rock band �gFLOWER FLOWER.�h

The band will perform at live event �gJAPAN JAM 2013�h which will be held at Shinkiba STUDIO COAST on May 4th.

FLOWER FLOWER is the band formed by YUI herself after she called to her the musicians she respected, and she serves as the vocalist and guitarist of the band with the name of �gyui�h with her completely new look of short blond hair. Apparently, the band started a studio session at the beginning of this year, and also held secret live performances at several locations across Japan since last month.

yui said, �gI thought that I would be able to purely enjoy music by creating sound with these members. New flashes and the possibility in music are naturally expanding from each member�fs idea and performance.�h She also explained regarding the name of the band, �gI wanted to give it an unaffected and natural name. There may be so many cool names, but I dared to make it a name that sounds relaxing, and can stay in your head. I hope we can express our powerful and interesting ideas freely.�h

After their first appearance at �gJAPAN JAM 2013��, FLOWER FLOWER will also perform at �gTOKYO METROPOLITAN ROCK FESTIVAL 2013�h which will be held at Wakasu Park in Shinkiba, Tokyo on May 26th.

Additionally, they also launched their official site on April 3rd, but it�fs currently undecided if the band will release any work at this moment.

YUI announces her marriage and pregnancy

YUI, who is the vocalist of rock band FLOWER FLOWER now, announced through the band's official website on 17 April that she got married and is currently pregnant. In her statement, YUI stated that her husband is a non-celebrity and she is already pregnant with their first child now. The last time when YUI wrote something about her current situation was in March last year when she revealed that she had suffered from a panic disorder. Since then, she had not given any updates on her condition so YUI also mentioned in her marriage statement that she was sorry about making everyone worried for her all this while.

According to insiders, YUI's husband is in his late 20s and is working in the construction industry. The two of them were said to have been introduced to each other by mutual friends and they registered their marriage at the end of March this year. YUI is reportedly 5 months' pregnant now and due to give birth in autumn.

YUI to release PV collection covering her entire career

YUI will release a PV collection called "FIND ME YUI Visual Best" on DVD & Blu-ray on July 29th.

YUI made her major debut in 2005, then put a halt to her solo activities at the end of 2012. The PV collection 'FIND ME YUI Visual Best' will feature all of her PVs, including ones that were created before her debut, and over 20 making-of clips. In addition, the Limited Edition will come with special contents such as 'YUI Sweden Special Movie', and a photo book.

Since YUI suspended her solo activities, she had started the band FLOWER FLOWER. In April, she announced that she had gotten married to a non-celebrity man and is expecting their first child.

YUI has given birth to twin boys.

Back in April, YUI announced that she had gotten married to a non-celebrity man and was expecting their first child. According to her agency, YUI gave birth to identical twins a few days ago. Both mother and babies are in healthy condition. It hasn't been revealed when YUI plans on resuming her activities.
