I finished watching this show this weekend. I enjoyed it very much. This show showed how hard it is for a house wife with a career goal/dream, especially in a more old fashioned cuture. The ending of this show really keeps me hanging! Who Suzuki Kyoka's character married? The ex-husband or the youg guy? Is the writter trying to let the audience to decide? I beleive she remarried her ex-husband.... Any opinion out there?

I love Suzuki Kyoka. Any recommendation on other show(s) she was in?

I saw the last episode and it looked like she married the ex-husband. The young guy is the father of her baby, I think.

I concluded she married the father of the baby. Remember the MTV style "ending" - her ex husband ended up alone in a room. The room is very much a single's room. Also during the aisle walk, she was accompanied by her ex-husband, as though he is giving her away. Just my thots.

I really enjoyed the series, but was very unhappy with the cliff hanger ending.

I disagreed. She doesn't know the young guy. He left the country for a year. Do you think after what she went through her character will married someone she doesn't know? And also, where is the young guys family if that is a wedding scene. Also, she was sitting down in the middle with his ex-husband in the picture.

I think the scene at the bridge is a proposal and she had accepted him and gave him her key again. She is so comfortable with the new him...

This is one of those ending that will create questions from viewer. Just like Over Time....

Are they together? Why?
May be they want to open it up for a second series!

I don't mind a 2nd series really. I love the casts and the unusual storyline.

From some reviews I red in the internet,
there are some recommended Jdoramas by SUZUKI KYOKA.
They are :

1). "KIRA-KIRA HIKARU"/"SHINING BRIGHTLY"
(Fukatsu Eri)
(Suzuki Kyoka)
(Matsuyuki Yasuko)

2). "Aikotoba wa Yuki"
(Yakusho Koji)
(Suzuki Kyoka)
(Katori Shingo)

sanada hiroyuki stars in this one, so it can't be too bad. i'm just basing that on his acting performance in konna koi no hanashi ... brilliant. great drama too. although, i haven't seen sanada hiroyuki act in too many dramas after that one. he did star in hanshichi though.

Convincing performances! I like how the drama showed the women's point of view on conflicts between career and family. The ending will leave you hangingc.wondering what really happened. Buy it.

Hmm, I guess Ralph didn't think much of this drama: he didn't even comment on it. Sweat

This guy has "Hikon Kazoku" on You Tube:https://www.youtube.com/user/SchatziTerebi/videos?view=0&sort=dd&shelf_id=3

The video quality is just fair and the subs are Japanglish. In episode one Suzuki calls Sanada's character an extinct dinosaur, the subs are "extinguished dinosaur". The oddest one was in episode 7 where Yonekura says to her son Shota, "Wakatta" (I understand), the subtitle is "Get Information Technology" Crazy

But the drama is very good. If you've never seen it you might want to give it a try if you can't find a better version.

He also has "Hatachi no Kekkon". If you watch that one, bring along some ear protection. Lots of yelling. It may also hold the unofficial drama record for most times using the word "baka".
