Mika Nakashima to release live album in January

Nakashima Mika will release a live album under her new project MIKA RANMARU. The live album, titled "OFFICIAL BOOTLEG LIVE at SHINJUKU LOFT", will be released on January 27 of next year.

The band is comprised of Tsuchiya Kohey, Ikehata Jyunji ( THE ROOSTERS, HEATWAVE, ROCK'N'ROLL GYPSIES, DeeDeeFever, others), and Ebinuma Takashi. Their debut live "MIKA RANMARU `MIKA NAKASHIMA 15th ANNIVERSARY` ROCK'N' ROLL LIVE" was held on November 11 at Shinjuku LOFT. The live album will contain the 10 songs performed during this live, and it will also come with an original t-shirt.

Mika Nakashima's new single to be released in February

Mika Nakashima's new single "Koi wo Suru" will be released on February 22nd.

The title track was written for DHC's commercial for its "F1 Skincare" series which started airing on January 14.

The single will be released in both limited and regular editions. The limited edition will include a DVD with the PV for "Koi wo Suru".

Mika Nakashima to release first new album in four years

Mika Nakashima will release a new album, titled "TOUGH" on March 22nd.

This marks the singer's first new album since "REAL" which was released in January of 2013. It will consist of 14 songs including her already released singles. The album will be available in both regular and limited editions, the limited edition will come with a DVD containing footage of her acoustic tour "THE ACOUSTIC 2016 - MIKA NAKASHIMA 1st Premium Tour" as well as a photo book.

In other news, Nakashima will be holding a release event for her single "Koi wo Suru" (out February 22) in late April. At the event, the singer will show rare footage and share some stories about the single.

Mika Nakashima to hold acoustic tour

Mika Nakashima will hold an acoustic tour called "Nakashima Mika Premium Live Tour 2017" starting in May.

Together with composer Kono Shin, Nakashima will hold 13 concerts in 6 different locations. The singer held a similar live for her fans back in 2014. At that time, many fans requested that she hold the concerts nationwide.

Mika Nakashima to cover Koji Tamaki, amazarashi, Keisuke Kuwata and others for new album

Mika Nakashima will release a cover album entitled "ROOTS - Piano & Voice" on August 9th.

The album will feature eight songs by artists that have influenced Nakashima over the years. She will cover Koji Tamaki's "Melody", Jun Shibata's "Maboroshi", amazarashi's "Hiro", Keisuke Kuwata's "Matsuri no Ato" and more with piano arrangements done by Shin Kono. The album's limited edition will come with a DVD containing footage and a documentary from the singer's one-man live in Taiwan last December.
