I started this drama with no big expectations, and for a while, that was manageable. Even for a silly show, the story just failed to make sense, and the acting was SO. EXCESSIVE. all the time. However, the love story aspect was actually charming, and may have redeemed the show. And then the bizarro ending killed it. This one was up and down and frustrating all around. |

But the second I started thinking his character wouldn't grow at all, he did, and I got sucked into this touching tale about the bonds between family. The last five or so epiodes are especially heartwrenching. Baisho's protrayal of the mother was so endearing, Hayami grew on me; everyone was so wonderful in this.
