Abunai houkago [あぶない放課後]
Rating: 4/10 (Watched)
If you like cheesy teen tv or after school specials with a moral, this might be for you. So if Saved by the Bell is your kind of show, please give this a try. Or if you're a die hard Johnny's fan this might be for you as well.
Ai no Uta [あいのうた]
Ai wo kudasai [愛をください]

Akihabara@DEEP [アキハバラ@DEEP]

Still in the middle of watching this, but loving it so far. Not what I would consider a "quality show" since there isn't much of a plot, but highly entertaining and the characters are quirky, colorful, and loveable. Anime/manga fans will probably enjoy the references to Akihabara and otaku culture.

I really liked this drama - it's directed by the same person that did Yasashii Jikan, and you can tell cause it has his style all over it. So, if you liked Yasashii Jikan, it's likely that you will enjoy this one as well. My only gripe with this is that the ending left too many questions unanswered. I frequently enjoy the occasional open-ended series, and I understand why the writer left things that way, but I still like to have at least one of the major questions posed, answered.

Ichi Ritoru no Namida [1リットルの涙]
Iguana no musume [イグアナの娘]
Rating: 5/10 (Watched)
This was horrifically cliched and overly dramatic with it's attempts to be tear-jerking. That said, I actually quite enjoyed watching it. Their heavy handed attempts to sway your emotions got to me. And it's almost impressive how the actresses can get you to buy into their fear/psychosis despite the unconvincing plastic iguana masks/costumes. So if you enjoy over the top dramatics (sort of like most kdrama is) then this might be for you.
Ima Ai ni Yukimasu [いま会いにゆきます]
Itazura na Kiss [イタズラなKiss]
Rating: 4/10 (Bought & Watched)
Jikou Keisatsu [時効警察]
Rating: 4/10
I'm only 6 eps into this, but unless something drastic happens, my rating will not likely change. It's fun but repetitive . And I confess I started watching it mainly because I'd just come off of watching Satorare and wanted to see more of Odagiri Joe
Kamisama mou sukoshi dake [神様、もう少しだけ]

Kimi wa Petto [きみはペット]

Kindaichi Shonen no Jikembo 3 [金田一少年の事件簿 3]
Rating: 4/10 (Watched)
Kisarazu Cat's Eye [木更津キャッツアイ]
Rating: 6/10 (Watched)
Fun and campy, but pointless drama. It does draw your attention in and is overall an enjoyable drama to watch, but it's not something I'd rush out to get immediately. JE fans may beg to differ as popular JE boys Okada Junichi (V6) and Sakurai Sho (Arashi) play the main lead and one of the main costars.

Kuitan [喰いタン]
Rating: 4/10 (Watched)
This has many of the same problems for me as Jikou Keisatsu. Maybe I just don't like these kinds of detective drama series. It's amusing for the first 4 or so episodes, but gets repetitive fast. I only made it all the way through because I'm a Morita Go fan and wanted to see more of him. Probably a pass unless you're a huge fan of one of the actors, are really into detective drama series, or have lots of time to waste

Proposal Daisakusen [プロポーズ大作戦]

I'm greedily dl'ing this as it comes out. Excellent romantic comedy that has a very nostalgic feel to it. The characters are well developed and believable. It's one of those dramas where you can sympathize with all sides. I am not a Yamapi fan (and generally feel that his acting leaves a lot to be desired), but this drama still manages to captivate me and make me really love and sympathize with the character Kenzo. Nagasawa Masami's acting is great as usual, and she makes a very adorable Rei. The series does a good job of portraying a childhood relationship that develops as the children grow older.

Shota no sushi [将太の寿司]
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
A drama that follows the shounen manga pattern of "a young boy sets out to realize his dream of becoming the number 1 ____ in the world/japan/etc" If you're into sushi, food or sports-type shounen manga, this should be an enjoyable watch.

Suekko chounan ane san nin [末っ子長男姉三人]

Tantei Gakuen Q (Special) [探偵学園Q]
Rating: 6/10
This is a fun, quick watch. The plot and mysteries aren't terribly complicated or believable, but the kids are as cute as buttons and therfore entertaining to watch. This is also based off of a popular anime/manga series, so I imagine fans of that would probably like this series as well. I'm looking forward to the upcoming 2007 tv show.
Tentai Kanzoku [天体観測]
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Tiger & Dragon [タイガー&ドラゴン]
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
Very enjoyable, well made drama! Stylish and a touch campy, with just the right amounts of heartwarming and hilarity. It may not be award winning material, but it's still highly recommended. All three of the lead actors who play Kotora, Ryuji, and Kotora's rakugo shisho, give an excellent performance.
