One of the main characters, Ryoji, goes through a long and painful life which was a result of a murder. As consequence, he and his lover, Yukiho, end up going through the dark side life. I think they were just trying do use different forumulas for this drama, which didn't seem to fully set the tone of the drama to me. It was pretty interesting but it just detracted from the main storyline. I guess they did it to show how these characters were but didn't work much for me. Overall, this was more of a mystery drama. At first I thought this drama was gonna be lame, but it was actually pretty good. It was kind of funny to see a guy trying to do something that others would see as crazy. I was anticipating each episode to see what was going to happen next. This might not be for everyone. Eventhough the drama might seem to set a serious tone, there are some funny scenes spread out though the whole series. The intro and outro would probably put some people off since I did not really like those either. The story involves a guy who is trying to get into the same college as his girlfriend but he does not have much money to live in Tokyo. He finds a share house with 5 beautiful ladies that takes him in to help protect it. Now he has to help around the place since he is paying cheap rent. Since this drama is based on a manga, it gets pretty silly. Random nudity and such. What do you expect since it is a "midnight drama." I did not like how the character Yuta was portrayed. They made it seem like he was a sniveling buffoon most of the time. Could have been executed better. The ending wasn't that great. |

There have been many dramas like this involving diseases like Beautiful Life and Summer Snow just to name some more, but it doesn't make it necessarily bad. It involves a girl trying to live life to its fullest without any regrets since her time is limited. She dreams of becoming a singer and hopes to able to make it to the top.
