Attention Please [
Suteki!
Densha Otoko [
My favorite Dorama - he "rescued" me from becoming an Anime Otaku, now i like Doramas better. XDD
Karei naru Ichizoku [
Propably the best for 2007. SUperb cast, sory, setting, and a killer soundtrack.
Sekai no chuushin de, ai wo sakebu [
Again, an incredible sad story. Though the main actors aren't that good, they have a great chemistry, this story is convincing in nearly every aspect. Has some funny elements, that's cool..
Sora Kara Furu Ichioku no Hoshi [
Trick [

Ezalor's artiste votes (6)
Abe Hiroshi [
LOL! The funniest japanese actor I've seen...but yet quite versatile. (Compare his roles in Kekkon Dekinai Otoko and Dekichatta Kekkon) I should say he is handsome, if I were a woman.
Akashiya Sanma [
Besides Kimutaku da best.
Ayase Haruka [
sexy and quite good acting
Hirosue Ryoko [
She is absolutely unique. Her face, her voice, especially her mimics.
Kimura Takuya [
Da best.
Ueto Aya [
Yeah. She's the real thing. Superb acting in Koukou Kyoushi 2003, ultimative cuteness in Attention Please.

11 Nin mo Iru! [11
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Funny dorama which proposes the worth of strong family bonds.
13-sai no Hello Work [13歳のハローワーク]
14 sai no Haha [14
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Shida Mirai rocks! I have great expectations towards the future of her career. The Drama is quite basic acting-wise and a bit below average story-wise. Katsuhisa was a bad choice for the father because, despite of his good acting, he made me laugh every time when i saw him on the screen because of his hilarious roles in the past. The drama has a typical happy end, which can be satisfying for everybody.
37-sai de Isha ni Natta Boku ~Kenshui Junjo Monogatari~ [37
Abarenbo Mama [
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Good home comedy full of values. Nothing more and nothing less. My first drama that I watched completely without subtitles.
Ace wo Nerae! [
Rating: 4/10 (Watched)
BOOORING. Lame manga-remake, cold, heartless. I've watched this only because of Ueto Aya and only Ep 1 to 3.
Age 35 koishikute [Age,35
Ai no Uta [
Ai to iu nano moto ni [
Ai wa douda! [
Aikurushii [

Aishiteiru to Ittekure [
Akai Ito [
Akai Unmei [
Algernon ni Hanataba o [
Ame to Yume no atoni [
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
All in all just beautiful. Beautiful, beautiful. It's exactly "my style" of Dorama. A bit sad, but with a smooth storyline. The important parts are the beginning and the ending, which tell a wonderfully round story. The middle episodes felt a bit like fillers, as they weren't story-criticall at all, so only 8 points instead of 9. At last, I'd like to highlight the beautiful title of this dorama.
Anego [
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
Very entertaining dorama with a very cool main character. Specially interesting storyline. High climax but disappointing end.
Anna-san no Omame [
Aoi Hitomi to Nuage [
Aoi Tori [
Arifureta Kiseki [
Rating: 6/10
[DELETED] dropped.
Ashita no Kita Yoshio [
Rating: 9/10 (Watched)
Very, very, very intelligent, rich and unique storyline. It's a mixture of all genres, so you get ironic laughter, hope, despair, love, mystery and so on. All in all it's just the right mix. Last ep a bit of a letdown but still 10p. EDIT: For a letdown it can't be 10p.
Asuko March! [
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Light-hearted dorama wich creates the often missed "must continue to watch" feeling. Not much about a plot or good actors, but it teaches the important things in life of a high schooler smoothly.
Asunaro hakusho [
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Estimated six points, so I aborted in the 4th episode. Kimutakus roll is way too small. Corrected: Now that I'm a few years older and grew up I could see the meaning of this dorama. A group of five people are trying to master growing up. Good acting and also quite a realistic plot. I like that it does not stop after their University years but makes a break showing that they are still struggling and growing up is not a matter of time or the life situation that you are in. But somehow it lacked the "nust continue to watch" feeling perhaps in favor of story-wise realism.
At Home Dad [
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Starting off hilarious, it gets more and more focused on the social aspect and the character development, what makes it less entertaining in the end. There should have been more episodes with Abe Hiroshi producing disasters at home.
ATARU
Attack No.1 [アタック No.1]
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Ueto Aya's great looks are turned down a lot for this series. The Dorama is a bit boring (okay, its REALLY boring) at the beginning, but gets better with every episode. For me as a fan of the Anime and Manga a must watch, so i can't judge neutrally. Solid rendition of the original Anime, "pepped up" a bit for the year 2005.
Attention Please [
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
Former suburban rocker wants to become a cabin attendant to impress a friend who she loves... Funny, entertaining Dorama with a cute Ueto Aya. Plot looks kinda stupid at first, but you get used to it with later episodes.
Bara no nai Hanaya [
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Too much of a soap opera. Way too much entanglements. Absolutely nothing special.
Beach boys [
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
"Thank you for wonderful summer. We are the Beach boys and girls." Very likely a feel-good dorama with an laidback, worthwhile atmosphere. Hirosue Ryoko acts great. Unfortunately sometimes a bit too laidback, that is too slow. But teaches you a (for some time) desirable lifestyle.
Beautiful life [ビューティフルライフ]
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
Very sad, yet very thoughtful plot; i cried a lot. KimuTaku is and stays the best.
Beautiful Rain [
Big wing [
Bitter Sugar [
Blackjack ni Yoroshiku [
Bloody Monday [
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Although you can categorize this as "suspense", the low-level suspense and rather weak attempts of creating emotional deepness did not make this a good Dorama. It's the unpredictable and very mature story which impressed me. The story arch is excellent. The weakest point about this is that it's hard to watch the many idiotic misses on both sides which hindered them on being sucessful. The hacing scenes were surprisingly credible, though watchable for the noob, unless most other international and much more expensive movies I've seen which showed "hacking".
Boku dake no Madonna [
Boku no Imoto [
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Pretty standard Dorama which focuses on the tension between brother and sister. Starts off very intense with a love story and a death what was wery promising. But later on everthing becomes cleared too smoothly. Overall acting is okay, Odagiri Joe is not that of a genius, but Nagsawa is convincing.
Boku to Kanojo to Kanojo no Ikiru Michi [
Boku to Star no 99 Nichi [
Bokura no yuuki ~miman toushi~ [
Boys on the Run [
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Though I like this kind of Dorama, it was a bit too unrealistic and too overacted for me. The story should have focused on he and his first love keep destroying each other. And I didn't like the fights. And he ended up with the wrong girl.
Brand [
Brother Beat [
Bull Doctor [
Buzzer Beat ~ Gakeppuchi no Hero [
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Well-deserved 7 points. Being very sceptical expecting a hyper cyber smooth modern Dorama, I was positively surprised. It remembers of the Golden Age of romantic Doramas in the 90s with the "love makes me strong" sign and so on. But somehow it still lacked the passion and devotion of the old days, it was a bit too realistic.
Byakuyakou [
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
Everybody says this is about a sad romance, but I couldn't see the romantic part in any point. For me, this is a suspenseful thriller and an interesting human drama. The two main actors have, again, great chemistry, but there is nearly no romantic love, it's more a strange symbiotic connection. The weak point about this is the implausible bad police/ detective work. With simple methods like fingerprints on the gas valve or modern ones like DNA analysis of hairs they would habe been convictable from the start and on every later crime.
CA to Oyobi [CA(シーI−)とお呼び]
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Mostly refreshing Dorama, but loses its appeal towards the end. The CA/Airport topic is a minor matter in this show, for the most part it's about romance. Having in mind the genre, the low repetitiveness is remarkable.
Cat Street [
Celeb to Binbo Taro [
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Watched it for the looks of Ueto Aya at first. (GREAT as always!) It developed up to my expectations on being a Dorama with a weak story built up around Aya and her costumes, but then the last 3 eps becama a showdown, better then an ugly lame happy ending.
Chakushin Ari [
CHANGE
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
Again, typical Kimura Takuya dorama. Average story and an outstanding Kimura. Especially the 23 minutes monologue was astonishing. Was interesting and a good watch but sometimes a bit shallow.
Cheap Love [
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Lovely Dorama with solid storyline, average acting and average plot.
Cleopatra na Onnatachi [
Coach [
Code Blue: Doctor Heli Kinkyu Kyumei [
Dakeshimetai [
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
Very good dorama with a nice, fast but not too fast flow and a good theme song. Acting-wise good on the main roles but weaker on the side roles. The main roles are over-acted on purpose making it possible that the surprisingly deep characters are only revealed on the second look. Good mix of friendship and romance. The Idea that the side role Jun narrates the story brings in a light-hearted touch. The overall mood of this dorama and the characters of the protagonists depict the mood of that time very well: Loud, free-minded and hedonistic. The amount of fashion you can see on this show is remarkable and I love the stlye.
Dandy Daddy? ~ Renai Shosetsuka: Izaki Ryunosuke [
Danjo Shichinin Natsu Monogatari [
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Something like Tokyo Love Story, but a bit more light-hearted.
Dekichatta Kekkon [
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
Top acting performance, very lovely plot & storyline. The end is a bit disappointing, ist's much like a standard ending for this type of story. The screenwriter should have put more thought in this part. I can't remember a dorama where I laughed out loud more than in this one.
Densha Otoko [
Rating: 10/10 (Watched)
Wow! Super funny, super romantic! Just cool! Has an fantastic soundtrack. HINT: Notice the "Densha Deluxe" special! Another great episode!
Dokushin Kizoku [
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
Very good Dorama with a recent topic: Depicting the different types of singles. THe storyline was quite unusual with a lot of good turns, but became a bit predictable towards the latter half. Kusanagi Tsuyoshi was just the perfect cast for this unusual main role which was very deep by being eccentric and socoiphobic and on the other hand very gentle, understanding and self-sacrificing. In most stages you could not read his mind. Kitagawa Keiko also had her best role in this so far in which she could - for the fist time - show her astonishingly fine mimics. The western-style music was a really good choice and the overal chemistry of the actors was very good. I also liked the 90s-style scenes which came from time to time
Double score [
Dr. Koto Shinryojo [Dr.
Dragon Zakura [
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Nice idea. Many basic learning/exam technics were described. Abe Hiroshi fits his role, also the students act good. Nagasawa Misami (Mizuno/Boo) did an outstanding acting performance. On top, Boo is IMHO very, very cute. XD I like the ending. BUT the weak point of this drama is the lame, stretched story especially in the middle episodes.
Dream Again [
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Average Dorama with great cast. Starts good but loses its drive. Business and daughter stories are good, but the love story gets annoying from the middle. The end was very predictable, but the (unpredictable) very last "mega happy end" was somehow too unreeasonable.
Egao no Hosoku [
Rating: 6/10 (Watched)
I managed it to get through, somehow. There really happens NOTHING in this series, it looks like it was build only to impose the smiling face of the main actress as much as possible. Abe Hiroshi diappointed me somehow; he did what he as supposed to, but there was nothing of his typical humour.
Engine [
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Typical KimuTaku Dorama. He's the man, being ubercool. The series starts off fast, interesting, dense and funny, which is unusual for a Dorama. I would have given higher ratings but in the middle the pace slows down. The ending is okay, The orphanage topic is interesting, but considering the series' title, there should be a lot more of racing, which is nearly a side story.
Erai Tokoro ni Totsuide Shimatta! [
First Kiss [
First Love
Five [
For you
Freeter, Ie o Kau. [
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
Well-crafted dorama without much unnecessary plot. It depicts the "under the radar" problems of the japanese society very well, like the social pressure from the neighbourhood on housewives, the shame of a family with an unemployed son or the pre-decision on the career of elementary school kids. But the plot became very predictable too often. Especially the father and son are very good acted.
Friends [
Fugoh Keiji [
Fukigen na Jiin [
Furuhata Ninzaburo [
Furuhata Ninzaburo 2 [
Fuyu no Sakura [
Gaikoukan Kuroda Kosaku [
Gal Cir [
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Entertaining, but average Dorama. Light and fun story. The cowboy makes this series interesting, the para para dance is merely stupid.
Galileo [
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
This was a big hype in Japan. Great cast, quite interesting criminal stories, but overall just average. There's no dragging part in the storyline, because every episode has it's own, separate story.
Garasu no kamen 1 [
Ghost Friends [
Ghost Mama Sousasen [
Gift [
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
And again, a very special Dorama with a shining Kimura. Topic and chacracters are very unique, there are even flat and deep ones. Cool soundtrack and a laidback feeling, but the end wasn't worked out that good.
Gokusen [
Rating: 8/10
Has many spontaneous gags, its fun to watch the "uncool" teacher. A bit like a female GTO. Matsu Jun is a damn poor actor.
Gokusen 2 [
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
A bit more repetitive than the first season. But still a good watch.
Golden Bowl [
Good Luck !! [
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
Nice plot with two of my favourite actors in the main roles. Incredibly cool Kimura Takuya. I love the pilot-thing topic.
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
My second Dorama. It's the best start to get addicted to JDoramas ^^ Though it starts off very lame.. Teacher Onizuka is besides of Aronld Schwarzenegger in Terminator one of the coolest roles I have seen.
H2~Kimi to itahibi [2〜
Rating: 9/10 (Watched)
It's a drama full of perfect youth memories I've never had. Especially remarkable is the "power", that is the chemistry between the main characters, Hiro and Hikari in particular. You can't imagine the tension between these two until you see it. Weak points are: everything including the all-japan championship seemed so easy, all this was only a vehicle for the love entanglements. And the end, you always rooted for Hiro and Hikari but it ended like it should and like you can figure out from the beginning. The symbolic of the settings was brought in well (sea in last ep. or the "seasons"-ending in general). Great acting. At last I would like to mention that Baseball sucks after all.
Hachimitsu to Kuroba [
Hagetaka [
Haken no Hinkaku [
Rating: 5/10
Watched the first 4 episodes so far, but it's so sterile and deadpan that it bores me to a greater extent I can bear.
HAMMER SESSION! [
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Can't remember right but i think it was fun.
Hana Yori Dango [
Rating: 6/10 (Watched)
Poor girl attends an exclusive high school, falls in love with a rich guy. In addition to the lovey-dovey hyper-styled overall looks of this Dorama, there is a poor acting Matsumoto Jun and an ugly main actress. Looks like the Japanese version of OC California. No wonder Americans like this. EDIT: Okay, recently I've seen much worse series than this. 1 point up *_*
Hana Yori Dango 2 [
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
Wow, I enjoyed this one! Much better than the first season, story-wise, design-wise, acting-wise,... I think this is the one and only role that fits Matsu Jun perfectly. Nice twist in the end.
Hanawake no Yon Shimai [
Hanayome wa Yakudoshi! [
Hanazakari no Kimitachi e [
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Zoom and then poof (originally reviewed by shari, but he's hit the bullseye...but I don't think Horikita is a miscast, rather this is one of the few fitting roles for her. You actually see that Horikita performed the acting as a boy a bit forced and shameful, but this is adding credibility) "The first few episodes shoot like a super-charged train riding on a nice premise with a stream of good comedy and inspired scenes. But the story soon derails under the weight of endless fillers that go from repetitious to irritating with a mob of sexually disoriented loonies on steroids. The chemistry between the ever-brooding Oguri and the miscast Horikita never produces sparks."
Hanazakari no Kimitachi e 2011 [
Haruka 17 [
Hatachi no Koibito [
Rating: 9/10 (Watched)
Something like densha otoko for the middle-aged... Light-hearted and fun. But I'm hating the end for a certain reason. 2013-02-06: corrected up to 9 points and might become a ten. This will remain always something special to me
Hataraki Man [働きマン]
Hayami-san to Yobareru Hi [
Hero
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
A good watch. Interesting criminal cases, interesting sidestories, parts to laugh, parts to think. Matsu Takako and Kimura Takuya have indeed a great chemistry on the screen. I wished so badly for KimuTaku and Matsu getting together again in this series!
Higashino Keigo Mysteries [
Himitsu Chouhouin Erika [
Himitsu no Hanazono [
Hito ni Yasashiku [
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Somewhat funny, somewhat entertaining. Watch If you have spare time. But don't expect too much.
Hitonatsu no Papa e [
Hitori gurashi [
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
Very realistic approach of an "deep 90s" style dorama, that means concentrating solely on the relationship and feelings of a few people. The role of Kyoko is extraordinaryly well-acted, you can feel every change in her emotions. I particularily like this dorama, because Tokiwa Takako plays the "normal girl" role here in contrary to her other roles which are a little bit crazy and unreasonable.
Hitotsu yane no shita 1 [
Homework [
Hotaru no Hikari [
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
This is a "feel good" Drama for me. I like this one, because it feels like a fresh breeze to watch. Ayase Haruka and Fujiki Naohito are performing some top-of-the-notch acting here. Very straight, linear story, but I like the Idea of this lifestyle, and the personalities of the main characters. Good chemistry between them. Maybe I should vote one point better for the Ayase-in-HD-experience XD
Hotaru no Hikari 2 [
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Solid Dorama, same setting of it's prequel, but not as good as it, as the funniest part was her introduction in hotaru no hikari 1.
Hotman [
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Hardly 7 points. Somehow the story remains shallow and doesn't dive in deep. All in all rather boring, watch only when nothing else to watch. Despite the title, this isn't a romance.
Houkago [
Hyakunen no monogatari [
Ichi Ritoru no Namida [1
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
It's just so incredible sad!!!11 Based on a true story, this Dorama features an extremely cute main actress, and convincing support actors. You can take "one litre of tears" literally when watching this.
Ii hito [
Ikebukuro West Gate Park [
Rating: 9/10 (Watched)
Bäm! THE Nagase Tomoya style Dorama.
Iki mo Dekinai Natsu [
Ima Ai ni Yukimasu [
Innocent Love [
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Since long, a dorama with the "must continue to watch" feeling. It's especially interesting to watch the story unfold. But Horikita's acting is not that great and in the end the dorama lost its drive.
Inu o Kau to Iu Koto [
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
This was refreshing after a bunch of romance doramas. Very cool and "clinical" setting, yet dragging you in with high suspense. Broad variety in the storyline, you never get bored. Average soundtrack and actors. Very thrilling and satisfying end.
Iryu 2 [
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
What's that? Finally a sequel which is superior to it's predecessor. Again, very, very dragging and suspenseful operations. I'm not interested in medical things but this was very good. The main actor isn't that convincing, but the technically well realization of this Dorama made it special. It's almost 9 points but the story was too predictable.
IS ~Otoko Demo Onna Demo Nai Sei~ [IS〜男でも女でもない性〜]
Itazura na Kiss [イタズラなKiss]
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Most impressing was the high density in athmosphere and storyline. Lovely story and very funny screenplay.
Itoshi Kimie [
Itsuka mata aeru [
Rating: 9/10 (Watched)
This dorama, has blown me away from the start right to the end. After watching an epiosode, it gave me like 10 minutes to think about. Such an emotionally dense journey I haven't been taken by a dorama for a long, long time. The emotional depth is so high that every action which is done can be interpreted in many ways so I always was thrilled to see what the reasons were. It hits right the nerve of (also me) being 26 years. Only, the play of Fukuyama wasn't that good, also the other actors were only average. But somehow they managed to overcome that and build a good chemistry and could deliver the emotional depth. Camera and scene settings were typically 90s very good. The last episode gives some serious life advice in many ways.
Itsumo futari de [
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
A lovestory many desire for. Good cast and realization. I absolutely like the kiss scene in the end where Mizuho emphasizes the awkwardness of the situation. The cameos in the end made me laugh.
I’m Home [
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Started out very promising as a nice mix of mysterious secrets and entertainment, but got weaker in the middle and a all-too-good happy end. There are remarkably many people ill in this dorama. Kimutaku's role was built around his image, but the "bad guy in the past" got a nice touch of diversity to it.
Jikou Keisatsu [
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Intresting topic and good realisation. But it lost it's drive towards the end and you are completely left in the dark in the end.
Jiu: Keishichou Tokushuhan Sousakei [
Jodan Janai! [
Jotei [
Jyoou no Kyoushitsu [
Rating: 9/10 (Watched)
Such a quality Dorama with talented young actors and a perfect story arch. Teaches you some lessons in life, but makes you feel that you've wasted your entire school life....
Kamisama mou sukoshi dake [
Kare, Otto, Otoko Tomodachi [
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
Very plausible way of depictiong many love- and relationship-related problems the current generations are facing! I liked the logical and comprehensible way the decisions and actions of each individual is shown. The title of the original novel "omoiwazurau koto naku tanoshiku ikiyo" is a very good one!
Karei naru Ichizoku [
Rating: 9/10 (Watched)
A piece of art. Propably the best for 2007. Very good, twisted story, perfect actors, cool vintage look, a killer soundtrack, and KimuTaku. I think this deserves 9 points. Will definetely watch again.
Karei naru Spy [
Kaseifu no Mita [
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
This was a huge hype in Japan. Maybe because this drama holds an in japanese television seldomly seen emotional harshness. It is well-acted, has a good storyflow (tough sometimes a bit too dorama-like/predictable) and adresses problems in the japanese society. IMHO it has too much constructed shocking moments. Soundtrack "Yasashiku ni naritai" is very nice.
Kazoku Game [
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
Very refreshing dorama with an unusual topic: How strong are family bounds when you strain them? What brings you happiness: Wealth, fame or your family bonds? Most of the acting was very good and the plots of the teacher are really unpredictable which surprised my every time. I liked that this dorama continued and really got started on a point of each character's development, where others would have stopped already.
Kekkon Dekinai Otoko [
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
Well...nanka...very good. This is something to just enjoy. Very funny and intelligent, up into the last detail. But...for some reason it leaks the last kick. Unfortunately, I can somehow realize some parallels between me and the main role. ^_~ Maybe best dorama for 2006
Kiken na Aneki [
Kimi ga oshietekureta koto [
Kimi wa Petto [
Kisarazu Cat's Eye [
Kochira Hon Ikegami Sho 4 [
Kochira Hon Ikegami Sho-5 [
Koi ga shitai Koi ga shitai Koi ga shitai [
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
Old-school-type Dorama with the lagest part being taken by the love realtionships and the general life struggle. Slow middle part but good ending. Has a bit of the dragging factor.
Koi ni Ochitara ~Boku no Seikou no Himitsu~ [

Solid economic/human drama. Entertaining all the way through. The name is a bit unfitting i think...

Wow. The sidestories are a bit strange and not so well-developed, but the main story had an amazing impact on me in the last two episodes. When the series starts, you think that the teacher Ikumi is the worst person alive and doesn't deserve to live. And you see Hina as the childish schoolgirl of 17. Later on, Hina develops vastly and grows up, more than Ikumi ever had. But you get to understand Ikumis ways and feelings nearly complete. The end of the story is very sad, but not in the plain way, much more subtle; it mixes up your feelings. Seeing Hina in the ending scene I would describe as the "saddest happy end" I've ever watched. PS: For the "DUMB" and "SUCKS" people: Watch this to the very end!!! Or you'll never get to understand this dorama with its many twists. There was a part when I was annoyed by the sidestories, too. Therefore 8 points, but the ending full points. Well. 1 week after. I still have to think about this Dorama. Together with the beautiful soundtrack...well...9 or 10.
Kurisumasu Nante Dai Kirai
Kurosagi [
Rating: 6/10 (Watched)
I think this show is basically built around YamaP's costume changing. I love Horikita, she becomes cuter to me every time I see her. The story gets a bit too repetitive in the middle episodes.
Kurumi no Heya [
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
Absolutely tensioning Dorama. Well-crafted, unpredictable, but "classical" storyline. The erotic contents are not excactly necessary for the story but they empower the impression and let you dive into the dark milieu. The opening theme is one of the most unfitting i've ever heared.
Kyousoukyoku [
Last Christmas [
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Well, pretty average. Good actors with average cuteness acting in an average story. Only Ryo convinces completely. I think the storyline is pretty much stripped down to the love relationships, nothing besides it. For me, too many couples (nearly EVERY main character forms a couple with another), way too much "coincidents", a bit too much kitsch, what results from the christmas setting, I think. I was partly bored by this dorama, but maybe I watched too many in a too short time span.
Last Friends [
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Pretty much a soap. Won't watch again.
Last Money ~Ai no Nedan~ [
Legal High [
Liar Game [
Rating: 6/10 (Watched)
Hmmm. I like Toda Erika. But this dorama left a cheap impression on me. Not only that it had a low-budget, but it was produced without the will to create something good. Very ugly scene surroundings and decoration. It's only a cheap manga remake. Though there was some suspense in some episodes, Toda Erica acted well too.
LIFE [ライフ]
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
Very, very dense athmosphere. Every single episode makes you sweat from the first to the last minute, until the pressure drops slowly in the last ep, so you wouldn't be left unsatisfied. It's a bit disappointing that there are some illogically obvious forms of bullying which just couldn't happen. Especially for the Western people who would think "why isn't she speaking up much earlier!?"disturbing to watch, but you can see Japanese society's darkest side in perfection.

Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Very refreshing dorama with an unusual idea. Focusing on the general style and production, it's a bit "back to the roots" and lets you remember the 90s Doramas. Good acting and gets never boring. But it is not that special that you would remember it for long.

Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
Very 80s-stylish dorama with a fast-paced storyline. Nakayama Miho at her best. She acts as herself very sympathically, also the live footage is enjoyable. The Dorama gave me an insigth into an 80s household with 80s stereotypics and 80s problems...
Manatsu no Merry Christmas [
Mariya
Massugu na Otoko [
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Okay, but left no deep impression. Standard love story: one man, a crazy girl and a straight-hearted and "good girl".

Miss Pilot [
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
Very good dorama with a strong, unpredictable storyline and really grapsing the "heart" of becoming a pilot. Especially Aibu Saki was shining when she played the graduall change of mind over the episodes. Also Horikita Maki was good as usual, but Aibu really got the show. Only the "boys" of her squad were all not that good actors and their characters were a bit too "flat-supportive"
Mitsu no Aji ~A Taste Of Honey~ [蜜の味~A Taste Of Honey~]
Moteki [
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
In spite of the obviously idiotic, but comical plot, this is a pretty good dorama. At first, I did not want to watch this because of the plot, but it is so self-ironical that it is a pleasure to watch. Note also the much, much better movie MOTEKI starring an irresistable Nagasawa Masami and a much denser atmosphere. Very cool soundtrack.
Moto Kare [
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Pretty good dorama with a charming Hirosue Ryoko. Contains good side story and a bit life advice ^^
Mou Ichido Kimi ni, Propose [
MR. BRAIN
Rating: 6/10 (Watched)
Star vehicle. You can feel how Kimura forces himself into this role esp. until ep.5 All stories but the one with Nakama Yukie had no atmosphere, and everything seemed a bit laughable and half-assed. I want Kimura's old romance roles back!

My Boss, My Hero [
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
Such a heartwarming Dorama. I'm in my graduation time now and this was like the "ultimate dorama" now. Not only that I reflected my own high school life, but I actually felt the spirit of it in the Dorama. I felt joy while seeing Makio getting the puddings, I fell in love with U-u-umemurasan, I felt the sadness he did. Every episode was terrifically hilarious beacuse well over-acted. The end couldn't be better in my opinion. Great show and a must watch for teens!

Heart-moving Kimura Takuya as always, nice soundtrack, astonishing pictures. But somewhat too long for the given amount of story. They should have made a Tanpatsu.
Narita Rikon [
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Average level Dorama. Unusual love story that begins with a divorce. The constant quarrels are fun. I like most of the actors, especially Kusanagi and Abe, though last named had not reached the high acting proficiency which he has now. Seto Asaka isn't the real thing, but she shines when she gets angry on screen.
Nemureru mori [
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
Great suspensing, complicated thriller. Had some to me unexpected twists in the storyline. Good ending.
Never Land
Ninkyo Helper [
Nobuta wo Produce [
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
VERY cute actors in convincing and credible roles. Made me cry at the end. Story is ok, but it's not the main part about this. It's the true illustration feeling of 17-year-olds who are aware of (or maybe afraid?) about future and society. Makes me think about myself.
Nodame Cantabile [
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Technically good drama with well performing actors, good use of the classical music and well used effects. But the storyline is a bit wishy-washy, it lacks constant elements. Starting from episode 7, the personality of Nodame pissed me off. The end was somehow not satisfying. Although this one didn't get me emotionally involved, I got this "have to continue" feeling after some episodes.
Ns' Aoi [Ns’
Odoru Daisousasen [
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
Impressive, entertaining police Dorama. Has strong characters which makes you imitate one or another of them. Creates a good atmosphere while focusing on the work as a investigator rather then on side-plots like a romance. Oda Yuji fits perfectly, paired with a good Fukatsu eri and a very cool central police bureau officer Yanagi.
Oishii puropozu [

Oregon Kara Ai [
Otousan [

Oyaji~ [

Papa to Musume no Nanokakan [
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
Wow, good one. This Dorama was silky-smooth to watch. No flaws, dense story, nearly top notch acting, very funny. There's a lesson to learn and you get good entertainment. You think this role change theme ist chewed out and lame, but this Dorama was really, really fresh.
Pretty Girls [
PRICELESS ~Aru Wake Nedaro,n namon!~ [PRICELESS ~
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Very light-hearted, fun dorama with a very sweet relationship between the three main characters. I like the ending, where a two-sided love does actually not develop in favor of the friendship of the three main characters. The processs of Monozukuri is pictured way too simplistic, as the "boring parts" product lifetime, complaint management, regulations etc not covered here. Same does for the story itself, it is not that deep. But I like Kimutaku depicting the ideal personality.
Pride [

Rich Man, Poor Woman [
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Has a good start, becomes weaker in the middle to finish off good again. Very shallow lovestory, bu that's just in line with nowaday's doramas. Oguri Shun is sometimes hard to bear watching, but Ishihara Satomi plays very, very convincing. Maybe she is in real-life just like the charakter. A pity she only plays in crappy Doramas except H2.

Saigo no koi [
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
(Again...) pretty standard dorama. Tokiwa Takako is veeery hot. BUT the story lost the power in the middle. The overall screenplay lacked the humorous part for such a dorama type. One of the lamest and most unspectacular endings i've ever seen.
Saikou no Rikon [
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
For nowadays quite "deep" dorama which concentrates on the feelings of the main characters. Very large share of the dialogues are fights which seem to me realistic. Unfortunately no real climax and quite predictable. All in all an upright dorama.
Sailor Fuku to Kikanju [

Not bad, it's tesioning and you get history light in short action... The SFX were a bit lousy as for the self-confidence they were used with, though. Sorimachi Takashi was a perfect fit.
Shanghai Typhoon [
Shiawase ni Narou yo
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
Good dorama which a slight "old-school" feeling to it, where everything revolves around the feelings of a handful of people. Gradually you get to know that everybody has a deeper reason for their behaviour which lies in their past. The female co-worker of the protagonist was very funny.
Shiawase No Shippo
Shika Otoko Aoniyoshi [
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Has got one or two laughs and you learn something about Japan's myths. Pretty ok. You can't call Tamaki Hiroshi an actor. Like in Nodame, the only thing he can do is to stare like paralyzed with his dull, weird face expression.
Shimokita GLORY DAYS [下北GLORY DAYS]
Shimokita Sundays [
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
Shimo...shimo...shimo...shimo...Shimokita Sundays! The heroine, misled without dreams and hopes for the future is finding her way back to a good life and learning the important things that make life woth living.. Pay attention to the things happening in the background of the screen, can be very funny. Lovely Soundtrack. This Dorama proves again the versatility of Ueto Aya.
Shinya Shokudo [

Interesting, unique idea and very good actors. The character development is thoughtful and convincing. But some parts get a bit too long, that is boring. The very good and thoughtful end (Sacchi's father gets the bad leg) was beautiful.
Shomuni [
Rating: 6/10 (Watched)
Average start for an hilarious dorama. Gets very good in later episodes (would give 8 points), but finally drops in humour, originality and story denseness in the last two to three episodes. Therefore only 6 points

Stand UP!!
Star no Koi [
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Typical mid-90s dorama. Typical lovestory. Startet typically strong, funny and interesting, but lost its drive in the middle to get über-kitschy and unappealing in the end. Nice cameo of Katori Shingo in the end.
Strawberry on the shortcake [
Rating: 9/10 (Watched)
Sh*t, man. That was good. Still crying. Together with Long Vacation the best love story i've seen so far. Twisted, but incredibly good storyline, very detailed characters which evolved beautifully. Perfect ABBA tunes. I like Sawamura the best ;) Unfortunately not so good acting from Kyoko. Maybe this dorama is to tell the difference of "shallow" and "deep" love.

Summer snow
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Hawww. Started off as nothing special, 7 point Dorama, got worse in the middle and then finally better to the end. The topic is pretty standard with a ill girl and a cheerful boy. Would have given 7p if there wasn't the ending. Regarding the ending, it was the most surprising and one of the most beautiful i've ever seen. Just don't read spoilers and let it surprise you. The theme song is the second most unfitting i've ever heard.
Sunao ni Narenakute [
Rating: 6/10 (Watched)
Aborted. Story develops too slow and too shallow.
Suteki na kataomoi [
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
A heartwarming dorama full of emotions about one-sided love. The relationships are rather shallow, but not in a bad way, but this makes the series realistic. Lovely soundtrack from Miporin. Muroi fits good in this sympathic role
Taiho shichauzo [
Taiyo no Kisetsu [
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
Very well-crafted Dorama with an, at any time, interesting and enjoyable storyline. It gave me the "must continue" feeling. I liked Tatsuya self-commenting his stages in life. Yuki IS the sexiest chick alive. I personally find it sad that Tatsuya's plans did not work out. At any time he got soft and turned back to his hobbling girl I was a bit disappointed. Sure the authors wanted to archieve exactly the opposite, but for me the best ending would be he with Yuki on top of the Building;) The end wasn't exactly sad but more satisfying in terms of a closed parabellum story.
Taiyo to Umi no Kyoshitsu [
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Yeah man! After you watched this, you think right NOW you should go out and live your life right! Excellent (for this dorama type mandatory) "ending lecture". Main Actress exactly my type ;) But unfortunately a slow, repetitive start.
Taiyou no uta [
Rating: 6/10 (Watched)
Good actors. Boring, flat story with too many sidestories. Thoungh it has no happy end, i shed not a single tear on this. The disease seems to be an excuse for producing this average drama.
Tatta Hitotsu no Koi [
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Nothing extraordinary.
Tentai Kanzoku [
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
A group of college friends find together again after three years and experience that they are slowly drifting apart...so the focus is set on the worth of friendship an what is important in life. It hat a good start, but a weaker end which is typical for the time. Story and emotional deepness is average, so you get an entertaining, but average dorama.
Teppan Shoujo Akane [
Rating: 3/10
I watched 2 episodes so far. I won't continue. Isn't it embarrassing for any TV Station airing this... It's just outstandingly booooring, has no heart, like "hingekackt und hingeschissen" (german saying). I can't believe Horikita Maki lowered herself to star in such a lame show. Okay, the few unpredictable jokes are somewhat funny, but that's all about it.
Teru Teru Ashita [
The Quiz Show [ザ・クイズショウ]
Tiger & Dragon [
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
Funny Dorama with an unusual plot/topic; would take too long to explain. Has some spontaneous gags, i like it. After a few episodes you can realize a slight repeat in the storyline, that's why I give only 8 points.
Tokkan Tokubetsu Kokuzei Choushukan [
Tokkyu Tanaka 3 Go [特急田中3号]
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Pretty Standard Dorama, but it missed to create an atmosphere for quite a long time whitch the rather thin storyline could not compensate. This doraa is far from outstanding. One good point is that it shows you how a romantic relationship can start even if it looks bad from the beginning. Not so good acting performance.
Tokujo Kabachi!! [
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
No hard feelings. Chemistry okay. Interesting law cases. Sometimes too dramatic screenplay. Entertaining, but nothing more.
Tokyo DOGS ~ Saiaku de Saiko no Partner [東京DOGS]
Tokyo Friends [
Tokyo Love Story [
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
I like this Drama especially because of the story and esp. the ending being much closer to reality than most other romantic dramas. Despite of being produced as early as '91 it was refreshing to watch. The main character's hesitating attitude is somewhat painful to watch, but I can understand him. EDIT: One point up for story complexity.
Tokyo Tower ~Okan to Boku to, tokidoki, Oton [

Trick [
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
Good show. Refreshing plot and funny acted. Laughed a lot. This Dorama contains a broad bandwidth from tensioning and frightening parts to just funny and cool ones.
Trick 2 [
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Hmm. Trick 2 is a hilarious show, especially when you are able to understand the japanese language jokes. IMHO they concentrated too much on the humorous part this time. Unless Trick 1, this squel lacks a constant in the storyline, and the "tricks" are not as nearly as tensioning as in the original Dorama from 2000. It's between 6 and 7 points, I think. Hope for a good Trick 3. PS: Eins, zwei, drei ... nicht! Ueda hay a fable for German ;-)

Virgin Road [
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Very classic dorama-typical lovestory. Started off very heartwarming and lovely with charming actors. But the story lost its hook and drive in the last few eps. It became very predictable to that point i could foresee what was going to happen right next an what the characters will say.
Voice [
W no Higeki [W
Wakamono no subete [
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
A Dorama about twens who are figuring out theri directions in life. The setting is generally dark, but in a fine and subtle way. Had a very slow and dragging start but caught up in the midlle to get really good in the last episodes. For me, it was not only entertaining but a bit of a lesson in life. Very good actors of that time (especially very cute Fukkatsu Eri and young Kimura Takuya with very good acting) and a nice soundtrtack from Mr. Children. It is a timeless show as all ups and downs they had seemed very plausible to me even now.
Warui Yatsura [
Watashi ga Renai Dekinai Riyuu [

Dorama with "must continue" feeling. Sometimes more, sometimes less interesting plot. Yoshitaka is convincing and Oshima Yuko better than expected.
Watashitachi no kyokasho [
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
One of the best worked out, most unpredictable and most interesting storylines i've ever seen. Beautiful character development, all in all very good actors. But it lacks sometimes a resolute progress; the story lasts too long at certain points. Gets more and more thrilling up to the end.
Water Boys [
Rating: 6/10 (Watched)
Somehow as a male I'm not the target audience, considering the tagline "beautiful boys in the water". So until ep7 you won't get much more than this. Starting from there a pretty standard dorama begins. Way too less time for love relationships.

Basically enjoyable Dorama, which good moments are the comical ones. Good cast. The romance was flat, childish and kitschy. Miss those old 90's days. But the main point about this is the comedy. First half a bit repetitive like Gokusen.
Yume no California [
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
This, again, is a real lesson in life. The story doesn't dive into the deepest crates of emotions, but that wasn't the intention, I think. Very realistic and down-to-earth aprroach on the problems of young grown-ups finding their place they belong. The main character, Shu, develops very nicely, while his two friends do not. But personality-wise they already had grown up, but struggled and eventually overcame their problems from their past. Nicely integrated classic 60s Soundtrack, good actors, and a little portion of not taking itself too seriously (they reference on being in a Dorama story).

One of the best shows for a long time. Very good and exciting love story. The two main characters have an elsewhere rarely seen good chemistry. Not the mandatory clumsy kiss in the end, but they treating each other very gently. The overall series gives a good lesson on how to live your life right and do the right/best things. In school, it is taught that you have to take an opinion/position for yourself at first, and then defend it to the very end, even if you are realizing halfways that you were wrong, otherwise you lose face. Sometimes it is just better to hear on your feelings and re-evaluate the circumstances to do the best for everyones sake, even if it means that you have to break promises and not standing to your word.

[DELETED]Beared to watch until ep8, but it is really too boring. At first the gags and ashaming situations made me continue watching it, but but it just got more boring, with no story after all.
