OMG! This dorama is really boring... Altough i LOVE tennis... and even play it... This dorama couldn't make me feel a lil' bit excited. The characters are annoying!!! The casting really sux (speacially BECKY, even her appearences on TV makes me feel sick!!!)

Its somewhat strange.... it doenst feel like a japanese dorama.
The plot is very good and original... the "flashbacks" r really sad.... altough i didnt like this dorama thaaaaat much i must say that this one is a good one, specially if one is tired of those "regular" doramas..... Wich is not my case.!

It is kind of an IWGP meets Densha Otoko....
For those who liked Densha, Akihabara@DEEP is waaaaay better than that! Altough i must say that some actors really sux... specially Kosaka Yuko... i mean... shes beatiful and can put some really amazing fighting scenes... but her acting skills r far from being the best....
And those "u must watch the DVD" parts r really annoying! I mean... c'mon.. how desperate one can be to sell those DVDs...

Overall a "OK" dorama.... but imo the "main" plot is quite boring.. "At Home Dad" just show the every day life of a father doing the house errands....
Because of that many episodes doesnt have any relation with each other whatsoever..... Maybe they could have worked a lil bit more on the plot.
As for the casting.... NaH... Abe Hiroshi is quite annoying as a father. I mean.... not that Abe~san is a bad actor... but hes just not fit for this character.

The casting is OK... some actors plays better than the others... But the 2 actors that really caught my attention were Matsujun and Ryuta Sato... They were outstanding is this dorama...
BtW.. im not sure... but isnt Ikeuchi Hiroyuki in the episode 7???? OMG... i was shocked... hes soooo different!!! But hes still an amazing actor!!!!

Really nice dorama.... Honestly i wasnt expecting much from Brother Beat... but as the episodes goes on u really start to support the three brother and their mother....
HOTMAN still is IMO the best "family" dorama... But Brother Beat gets real close to it... And the history is really creative... Most doramas focus on the father... and brother beat is really different in that aspect... Something more or less like Summer Snow...

Since i read the first reviews on this site.. i was expecting something similar to Sekai no chuushin... but OMFG!! Did those guys even watched both doramas... apart from the casting they have nothing in common!!!!
BtW... i never tough that Atsuro Watabe was such a splendid actor!!! (From the silly brother in Beautiful Life to this Evil character in Byakuyakou...!!! He's amazing!!!)

What an amazing dorama.... Really... first of all i hate medical shows.... doesnt matter if its like those sitcoms like E.R., Scrubs, House. Those "reality" shows 'bout plastic surgery... Nways I REALLY HATE MEDICAL SHOWS!!!
But Dr Koto - Shinryousho is wonderful... Its so touching!!! Heart warming!!! The plot and the casting r perfect... BtW.. i've seen that some ppl didnt like the main char. IMO he was the best... the writter really come with something different when they created the Koto's Char....

Overall its not a BAD dorama... tough its far from beign a good one... there r good aspects in Gachibaka! But most of times it fails to entertainm the viewer. =^^= For those who liked Gokusen, GTO.. Gachibaka its just the same... no innovations whatsoever. But the main plot and casting were better in Gokusen>O... so even if u LOVED those 2... u still have high chances of disliking Gachibaka!

What a lovely dorama!
And wat else can we ask??? Beautiful actress such as Yaguchi Mari (former Morning Musume member), Toda Erika (main role... u~huuu!!!!), Aragaki Yui (in a much cooler role than the one she did in Dragonzakura), Suzuki Emi.....
And not to mention that this one have one of the most funny casting ever!!! Namase Katsuhisa (the legendary head-teacher from Gokusen), Furuta Shinta (any relation with Furuta Arata???), Sato Ryuta (IMO he's the japanese version for Jin Carrey.. LoL).
And Fujiki Naohito plays his role really WELL!! The foreign accent he does is marvelous!!! He's really funny in this dorama...
Gyarusa is really silly... no doubts 'bout that... But its the funniest dorama i've ever watched!!! I gave a 9 out of 10 only because of that UNREALISTIC part in the ending... But i must say i quite enjoyed the ending of this dorama...

OMG... I hope that rowing isnt as boring as this dorama... In the last episodes i was really bored! (skipping some scenes... playing Solitarie while watching it.... and so on)
And all those "ya... ya.. ya..." really got on my nerves!!! I dont know wich region of Japan ppl speaks like that... but i hope that i will never end up there... ("GanbatteYA..")
I dont quite understand how so many ppl enjoyd this dorama... Nishikido and Taguchi's chars were so alike.. i mean... they could use one "cheerfull" char.. i know its kind of "cliche" but at leat it would make "Ganbatte Ikimasshoi" more of a watchable dorama... The girls were ok... no bad acting... but the again nothing special neither....

As most of ppl who have watched HOTMAN2 i was like "WtF?" when i first saw Shima... Actually i wouldn't mind if they had only changed the actress (Altough imo Konishi Manami is much better of an actress than Itoh Misaki) however they completely changed Shima's character as well...
Ryonosuke, Haiji and Hinata have the same personality they had on the first show... But Shima is less shy... less caring... Well.. i didnt like that at all...
Afterall i must say that i liked the first one better... But i gotta say that i think that HOTMAN2 is funnier than the previous one.

I mean... its a good dorama (at least imo) but there r many other better than this.
IMO the major problem in Nodame is the ridiculous number of characters in the story (and its not like they appear just one episode and disappear.. they continue appearing on the dorama as the show goes on...) I found a lil hard to pay attention for the main couple, the two teachers, the maestro, the S-oke's members, the R-S member's, Chiakis's ex-girlfriend, the school director, Nodame's friends, the gay violinist, Mine's father, the reporter and his assistent... Damn... do they really need that many characters??? |

OMG!! Orange Days has the best scene of "love declaration" EVERRRR!!! And the second best as well!!!
Damn... ORANGE DAYS is soooo heartwarming!! And it show how good is to have friends! The casting is marvelous.... Narimiya.. Shirashi Miho... the singer Shibasaki Kou... and of course.. Tsumabuki Satoshi! IMO Tsumabuki is one of the most talentous actors in Japan! And he did a marvelous job in Orange Days...!!!

The show has some minors problems that annoyed me a lot... but in the end i loved this dorama.. So far one of the best that ive watched on 2007.... (loosing to Proposal Daisakusen)
Aragaki Yui's acting skills really surprised me... Altough Hiroshi~san really steals the show!!! He's an amazing actor... I really like to see more of his works. (looking for them right now... WOWWWW... he plays Oda Nobunaga!!! =^^=)

Apart from the fact that i dont enjoy hockey that much, Pride is a nice dorama... good actors... nice plot...

But overall its an excellent dorama.. The casting is superb, The songs are awesome (Ashita Haeru Kana by: Kuwata Keisuke is wonderful!) I kind like this dorama... Altough i tough it was a comedy (judging from what i've seen on the first episode) i was really shocked to find out that it was a tragedy...
And thats something unusual... Nagasawa Masami's character would fit a comedy dorama better. Nothing agaisnt Nagasawa~chan... but they could give her a character that would actually fit the plot. The rest of the casting is ok... nothing spetacular nor bad.
Well... i liked the plot... very original!! The only huge problem is the one mention before... tha main char. doesnt fit the story...

SAD!!! But the idea of Sekai no chuushin is not really original... i mean.... i kind of tired of those (a girl n a boy falls in love with each other.... most of the times the GIRL has a disease... and both of them fight in order to have a happy life)
Each dorama changes a lil bit the plot... but in the end they r all just the same....
Nways... if i dindt watched other doramas before.... maybe i would have enjoyed Sekai better... ITS a EXCELENT DORAMA... Worth a 9 out of 10.... |

Quite a nice dorama.... "Sushi Oji" use the same idea of "KiraKira Kenshui" one main character going under the guidance of many instructors. But unlikely KiraKira, Sushi Oji dont waste time over trivial things (e.g.: support character's history... On KiraKira there's even one whole episode just for one of the instructors..) Well... afterall Sushi Oji is 3 episodes shorter than KiraKira.
Nways... the casting is pretty lame and the 2 JE's guys dont add much for this dorama. while i was watching the dorama i keep asking myself y would they cast "famous" actors as support roles... i mean... they totally steals my attencion from the main actor (for petes mama's sake... its been ages since Koichi~kun last appeared on a dorama... If it was not for the KinKi Kids i probably wouldnt even remember him).

I didnt like this dorama very much.... Its... hummmm... strange!!
The fighting scenes r 2 horrible... some actors r terrible!! On the other hand Taihou shichauzo is really original...!! And i must say that i laughed really hard at some parts...!!!

Good Dorama... The casting is ok! Altough i LOVE Sawajiri Erika, Yamada Taiyuki is far away from beign one of my fav. actors...
And i must say that i liked the movie better... IMO even the song from the movie ("Good Bye Days" by Yui) is better than the songs from the dorama...

At the beginning i wasnt expecting much from this dorama...
But i really changed my opnion after wathing the first episode...!! And it gets better and better!!!
Tiger & Dragon remenbers me of Kisarazu cat's Eye... not only because of the casting (Okada Junichi, Tsukamoto Takashi and Abe Sayado...) but also because the way the episodes are developed...
Nways... i really recommend this one for ppl who r looking for something differente... I had a good time while watching this one!!! Thumbs Up!!! |

A good casting... a beatiful scenario (i loved the fact that now i can say that at least one dorama that i've watched dont take place in a big/medium size city*Osaka, Tokyo, Shizuoka....* or in some island in Okinawa)
Honestly "Ushi ni Negai wo" is quite funny. And the plot is not thaaaat bad (altough a little "cliche")
The major problem is the uncontable things that goes by without a explanation! SPECIALY the fact that one student keep appearing and dissapearing in a randomly way!!! And.. OMFG.. that love-square is REALLY annoying!

First things first i didnt read the manga.... so i cant make any comparison (in fact.. i never read mangas... they give me headache)
Nways... its a lovely dorama... Nino and Sho r great actors, specially nino... but i must agree with those who say that he didnt fit Tarou's character really well.... But still he's a good actor and beside that problem he managed to play his char really well....
The relationship betwen those 3 main characters kind of remind me of Wakaba mo Koro (thnx GOD they didnt use a love-triangle situation!!!)
But if theres sumthing 'bout this dorama that really should be praised... that imo would be the last episode!!! Damn... Yamada Taro Monogatari has one of the best endings i've ever seen!!! Really touching!!!! |

Its good... imo even better than Gokusen, Dragonzakura, Gachibaka! or GTO.... Much more original.. and the plot is really good. And for once someone didnt try that "New-teacher-worst-class" explanation... When the new teacher always end up in the class that school doesn't want...
But the ending ruins all the dorama!!! It could've been much better!! (Well.. i didnt watch the SP...) but i felt like i was missing one last episode....

"bout the casting... the only actor ive see in another doramas before was Abe Hiroshi and hes amazing (no matter what role hes playing) and Kashiwabara Shuji (from Ace wo Nerae). Both of them r good in this dorama... but Ito Hideaki steals the spotlight!! He has some amazing acting skills.... *thumbs up for him*
Well... maybe if i liked a lil bit more those suspense dorama i would have enjoyed it a lil more...!!! But imo Yasha is just OK.... |
