I'm still wondering. Is it the maturing charisma of Sorimachi or the good script that is keeping me glued to this drama? Sorimachi isn't aging any faster than his wife yet he graduating from a daddy of a three year old (Hotman) to a 12yr old ! It's really a bonus to have the young actress who acted in "14yr old mother" in this drama - very matured acting. I think i will watch it again, not for the story which wasn't properly researched developed and went round in circles. There is a thick Japanese flavour to it, whether in terms of speech, body language, decor, ornaments. The production set took care of so much details that it's worth a second look. Highly addictive. Tried hard not to start ep.1, believing that many scenes are far-fetched, hero-centric,etc. Well, it is. And in addition to that, every surgery is like watching a baseball match. Some chapters are really funny, the referees always, because they are on the 'run'.Well, what can you do ? Given 4hrs or shorter, every dead person on the show has to run to rush their last deed. You don't need a pretty gal in this setting or the branded clothes to catch the eye. I think the manga writer makes a mockery of human nature. The behaviour of that robot, Nighto, is a contrast to selfish nature of the human characters in this drama. I didn't know manga could turn out themes in literature. Wonderful to say the least. |
