Beautiful life [ビューティフルライフ]
Judging by my wife "cry-o-meter" the drama is very good :). now really, it was the first jdrama not having a happy ending, but still having a touching story which built up to a extraordinary final episode. It's a must see.
Dragon Zakura [ドラゴン桜]
Best speech ever to get kids motivated. I believe this isn't a drama, but a documentary on how learning should take place and a very good one at that.
Engine [エンジン]
After seeing Pride I thought that Engine would be somehow similar - it is not the case...it has more in common with Ninkyo Helper. All in all it is a very good show. Worth watching!
Hotman Season 2 [ホットマン2]
Good family jdrama. Good points: good acting, funny Bad points: some story points are stretched, weird ending between Enzo and Ayame (Shiraishi Miho played beautifully as Ootsuki Ayame - seminded me of "Iron Faced Woman" from My Boss,My Hero) > they should have been a little bit realistic, not having Enzo "aahh, you're kidding..." - if that would have happened, I guess the whole thing of Enzo and Nanami leaving would have turned as good ending
Kekkon Dekinai Otoko [結婚できない男]
This was the second time while I've made the mistake of having watched "man way of thinking" shows like "Curb Your Enthusiasm" (Larry David) with my wife ....and .... what can I say.... Abe is more cynic than Larry was :). Definitively worth watching.
Kimi wa Petto [きみはペット]
I could compare this with " "Fear and Trembling" - International (English title)" somehow. The tough, tall and very attractive office lady having a hard time living and working in a press company seems to be, in fact, as sensitive and loving as a woman can be...
Long vacation [ロングバケーション]
I've seen it at a time when I was having a "long vacation" too. Great drama.
My Boss, My Hero [マイボスマイヒロ]
Very, very funny story and good acting. Iron-face woman is the best female home-teacher I've seen so far
Ninkyo Helper [任侠ヘルパー]
This jdrama is better than many dramas in top 10 here on JDorama. This is because of the mix between ninkyo dintai and care taking the elderly. The ninkyo are portrait in a realistic way and the ninkyo dintai situation also talks about the difficulties they have in nowadays Japan. Matsudaira Ken as Takayama Gensuke (the boss) I liked very much - he really is the BOSS. Kusanagi Tsuyoshi as Tsubasa Hikoichi couldn't be replaced by anyone in this role - if not for him, the drama wouldn't have the ninkyno feeling. He's a great actor!. Last, but not least, Natsukawa Yui as Hatori Akira is great in the role of tough business woman - I loved how she played in Kekkon Dekinai Otoko - and here she's radiating. Without her the drama wouldn't be drama. Great jdrama - worth watching 100%!
Nobuta wo Produce [野ブタ。をプロデュース]
Great story, great acting and very good ending.
Nodame Cantabile [のだめ カンタビ−レ]
This is one drama getting classic music up to "interesting" level for me. It's a very well played jdrama.
Orange Days [オレンジデイズ]
Strong story+very good acting
Satorare [サトラレ]
Odagiri is acting very well (almost like in Adrift in Tokyo ~ tenten) and in general the drama is very funny, but I loved it for the Nakata Chiharu character played by Kanda Uno - she's awesome looking and the dressing change from one minute to the other is wow.
Summer snow
Great story and WOW for the last episode! My wife's "cry-o-meter" was so off the scale that after this I had to watch 3 funny jdramas (up to now :) ). Worth watching. The only "-" I have with it is the soundtrack: the pan-pipe (folk instrument in my country) which produces high emo music, but not the kind needed in this show.
Wonderful Life [ワンダフルライフ]
Great "hero / miracle man" jdrama. Although I know nothing of baseball I've enjoyed the show. Good acting on both Sorimachi Takashi and Jaguar kids. The story was well balanced and built up to a good ending.

Okamoto Aya [岡本綾]
Very talented actress
Takahashi Katsumi [高橋克実]
First saw him in Shomuni and then in DonQuixote and last in Suika. He's very funny and lively.

Ando Lloyd ` A.I. knows LOVE? ` [安堂ロイド〜A.I. knows LOVE?〜]
Arnold would have been proud [Rating: 10/10]
I started watching this jdrama rather reluctant - Kimutaku as T100 protecting someone from the past. It proved to have a slow start and addictive by the second episode. The series is about love, hence the whole scifi part shouldn't be taken into account (IMHO) more than the love part. I believe that at most one can go as far as considering the A.I. gaining self-will as a result of advanced design and interaction with human beings. The special effects are decent - not overdone. The characters I liked: - Kimutaku played very well - I liked how he managed to portray the scientist and the robot - a bit of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. - Suppli was great - childish enough to warm your heart, yet mature when it mattered. - The detective was a mixture of rebel without cause and blade runner cop. The soundtrack was touching. I recommend watching it!
Don Quixote [ドン★キホーテ]
started reluctantly, but finished nice [Rating: 10/10]
The first I saw of Takahashi Katsumi was in Shomuni and the first of Matsuda Shota was in Meitantei no Okite. I was kind of expecting Takahashi Katsumi to be grand, but I was surprised of Matsuda Shota's ability to portray Sabashima-san. Both characters are Don Quixote in their own way and, more than that, one could see the two characters developing throughout the episodes. Also the supporting staff is very good. The cliches used did a very good job of embossing the huge gap between the street gangster and the otaku-like Shirota. Hat down for the way this drama was shot and the camera movements. The spanish style soundtrack added quixote flavor to it. I would accept someone's complaint that sometimes the kids weren't so convincing that they were mistreated (dark joke), but I enjoyed the drama and I laughed each episode e2e. It may not look like it, but this drama will Pow-Thwak-Bangbang! you.
Orange Days [オレンジデイズ]
it started with the orange [Rating: 10/10]
The first orange thing cough my eye - right in EP1 when Kai picks the orange out of the tree. Nicely shot and with strong story behind. The actors look like beginners, but that soon changes as the tale unfolds. From my POV this drama is underrated, but yet there aren't many votes there. Very good drama and worth your while.
Suika [すいか]
watermelon drama [Rating: 9/10]
Seeing 4 women under the same roof made me reluctant at first, so it was a slow-start drama for me. Characters are good - each one grows and has it's own spice to add. At times maybe there is too much emphasis on nostalgia...but that was alright since Takahashi Katsumi was also in and "cooled" things down. Overall a good drama to watch - even the cat goes to the bar and gets to be told to go home.
