Kamisama mou sukoshi dake [神様、もう少しだけ] Rating: 5/10 (Watched) this whole thing doesnt make sense. i watched it a long time ago so please correct me if i made any mistakes.
so first, the girl sells her body, for what? for a concert ticket.
second, the girl has sex wif her idol.
third, the idol actually falls in love wif her.
fourth, that a record *producer* can actually be so good looking.
fifth, fan marries idol.
sixth, she died at her wedding.
please, nothing makes sense. or its just too difficult than i can understand. i gave it a 5 and all 5 points go to the soundtrack.
Kindaichi Shonen no Jikembo Season 3 [金田一少年の事件簿 3] Rating: 6/10 (Watched) they changed the screenwriter. thats unforgivable. it ruined the stories and casts. great disappointment from matsumoto and suzuki too. this series just makes everyone loves Doumoto and Tomosaka more.
Lunch no Joou [ランチの女王] Rating: 6/10 (Watched) didnt interest me at all until i think the 7th or 8th episode as i desperately want Natsumi to choose Yujiro. stunning casts but its just plain boring. something you would forget very quickly.
Moto Kare [元カレ] Rating: 8/10 relationship and emotional struggles among the three main characters very beautifully depicted but the rest doesnt support it.
Ningen shikkaku [人間・失格] Rating: 9/10 (Watched) ive watched only 4 episodes and thats all i can BEAR bcos its just TOO DARK. its too POWERFUL than i can continue watching it. i thought i could finish it in three days, at the end i spent 2 months on 4 episodes and now ive decided to drop it until im brave enuf. the plot "sounds" cliche but its not your regular teenage dorama. basically, its not even a regular dorama. you just have to love Shinji Nojima and i admire all you who can finish this.
Sekai no chuushin de, ai wo sakebu [世界の中心で、愛をさけぶ] Rating: 9/10 (Watched) excellent casting, exceptionally superb performance from Yamada Takayuki, excellent soundtrack, excellent photography. at the first few episodes it actually has all qualities to become a movie. tho somehow i find it a bit unconvincing as how a 3-month first love could torment a man for 17 years, i was still crying throughout the whole 11 episodes. i havent found any doramas as beautiful as this one yet.
makes you love Yamada Takayuki dearly
Stand UP!! Rating: 10/10 (Watched) watched this thrice and left me die laughing EACH TIME.
Strawberry on the shortcake [ストロベリー・オンザ・ショートケーキ] Rating: 5/10 i expected better stuff from Shinji Nojima. this is just bad. i would give it a fail but Yousuke did a very very good job. so good that he still had the ability to make you cry even the whole story is just dumb.
Water Boys [ウォーターボーイズ] Rating: 9/10 (Watched) the ONE j dorama that actually makes me miss high school.
Yoiko no Mikata [よい子の味方] (Watched) you have to like either Sho or kids (age 3-6) very very much to watch this. you would like this too if youre a mother (esp if your kids have entered their rebellious teens and you want memories back, this will sure keep you nostalgic). if you know what i mean...

Ruten no Ouhi - Saigo no Koutei [流転の王妃・最後の皇弟] didn't disappoint me AT ALL. [Rating: ?/10] it's indeed EDGY for Japanese producers to tell Chinese History of Second Sino Japanese War eriod. and seriously, this is one HUGE selling point. i would still watch it if it hasnt such powerful cast. and for me a Chinese, i would say the dorama has told history as, well, what it was without making it too bloody or too political. perhaps afterall it was only a setting, the main theme is still the love between PuJie (Pu-Chieh) and Hiro and for that part it was beautifully depicted. a powerful and personal love story of two important public people. EXCELLENT music, EXCELLENT settings. very very good acting from Takenouchi that basically makes EVERYONE dimmed. for these, i give the movie an 11.
one point deducted for important historical errors.
1~ PuJie's mom didn't die in the Forbidden City which leads to,
2~ Puyi wouldn't have been able to watch her die, in fact, he didn't even get to her funeral because he wasn't allowed to leave the Forbidden City.
3~ no Qing princes EVER refer their mothers as "mothers". but "e niang"
4~ no one can refer the Emperor by name but quite EVERYONE in the dorama namedropped the Emperor as Emperor Puyi.
that is, don't ever rely this for your full history knowledge. it is supposed to be a SERIOUS dorama but when it comes to big mistakes like these i just can't help laughing, especially that when PuJie repeated saying "mother" for the nth times. yet LUCKILY, these errors remain to the very early part of the dorama, so after several laughs you can still get immersed in the love story.
another point deducted for, erm, weird Mandarin. perhaps it would be better dubbed.
still, a very very high class dorama... not your ordinary j dorama. 9/10
Summer snow a dorama quite for everyone!! [Rating: 9/10] family/teen drama for the first 8 or 9 episodes that simply anyone can enjoy and also from there the plot starts to get tight and personal... id watched the last episodes a few times and each time theres new discovery: the hints, the imagery... bittersweet ending, very beautiful~~!
