I realised that there is not much talk about this drama..but I think it is one of the best dramas, kuodos to the director who manages to put in images of past and make it relevant to the present...its a story of how an unconventional idea, like a student and teacher relationship will one day be accepted in our society, just like many years ago a philosopher was jailed for believing that the world was round...now we know that he was right all along... (this is extracted from one of the scenes)
I really recommend this drama and also for fans of Hideaki Takizawa....a great actor, despite what pple think, that he is too good looking? But boy, does he have screen presence! |

hi aileen,
i also like majo no jouken very much. i think matsushima nanako did very well in this show and she deserves her "dorama queen" title. as for takizawa hideaki, i think his performance in his next dorama after majo no jouken, taiyo wa shizumanai is better. well, there is no doubt that he is an extremely gorgeous person. can't wait to watch strawberry on the shortcake. |

| She acted very well compared to Takizawa Hideaki. She sacrificed so much (career, pressure from parents, society, etc.) and throughout the whole dorama Takizawa Hideaki seems lost. She's the type of women who really know what she really need/want. |

domo minna,
i think the ending is left for the audience to decide for themselves. the audience could either choose to interpret that michi (matsushima nanako) did not wake up but it was merely a dream as hikaru (takky)'s expression when he opened his eyes & saw michi was kinda weird; he wasn't elated at all as he should be. the other interpretation is that michi did wake up & they live happily ever after of course. though it's really cruel to interpret the first ending as after trying so hard to be together, michi dies on hikaru......

hi,
totally agree with Stephanie, although I choose to think that Michi woke up, despite Hikaru's expression. It would be too painful for me to think otherwise..
However, whether Michi wakes up or not is immaterial as all the main characters in the show are at peace with themselves & are ready to move on. Michi and Hikaru are also no longer in chains.
I choose to interpret that Majo No Jouken is Hikaru's story, telling us how he fell in love with Michi, how she taught him the meaning of freedom. I especially love the last letter that she wrote to him, of the Chinese word"freedom" - "zi you" and that freedom is made with your own hands, and not something you need to find.
This drama is still the best! sorry abt my gushing, but i have watched this drama a gazillion times. |

I also think about it and get confuse for some time >_<.
Because I don't want to see the bad ending, so I choose that Michi really wakes up ^-^.
Although Hikaru's reaction is quite strange at that time. |

mhm, it is and I think there's nothing wrong with it as long as they both love each other. In my school a male teacher had a relationsship with a student (she finished school this year) but as the other teachers knew it he got fired and it was even shown on TV news. I don't know if he's still togheter with the girl but I often see him in clubs hanging out with other female students....so perhaps he's just one of those looking for fun with young girls
But anyway, I think that people shouldn't forbid such things, 'cause love is love and it doesn't matter between whom. |
