Thanks for you responses. I prefer concrete endings, but I guess it's kinda fun to interpret vague endings like this. Makes for good discussion. I think you're right. Their relationship was more of respect for each other than anything else so the "visit" scenario is more likely.

You have a good point as well in her bringing the sun block. But that's open to interpretation, as well! I think it's more of a symbol that she hasn't forgotten about him and has kept the sun block as a sign that they will meet each other again. Judging by that scene, it looked like it was summertime and the 99% of the drama took place in either winter or fall (Kimura always wearing that brown jacket) so it wasn't until a couple of months had passed by before she saw him.

I missed the last bit after the ending theme, appreciate if anyone can tell me if anthing happened there?
Well my 2 cents worth is, remember earlier the office were calling out to Matsu and Otsuke Nene wondered why MAtsu has not arrived yet, besides we all know how commited Matsu is in her ambition. Saying that, her bag looked awfully light. I think she had given into impulse that day, not to work but to see Kuryu..

it sure did.

after the theme song ended, kimura's character met takako's again at the new place of his work.

this was only the last brief minute or 2 of the drama, but it established i thought the deeper level of feelings amamiya and kuryu shared though never verbalised.

throughout the drama, amamiya's growing feelings of admiration and respect for kuryu were obvious, and developed quietly to the wonderful scene where she recited the names of the football players. the power of a great drama!

well, so they had a mini reunion at the beach where kuryu was conducting an investigation. if memory serves me right:
he tries to brush her face while telling her which part of it is becoming sunburnt but she dodges his hand(there's something intimate in this moment like she can read what kuryu's going to do).
and then amamiya brings out the gift kuryu had given her before he departed tokyo, and voila! its the suntan lotion!! surely an invitation from kuryu for amamiya to visit him at the new island he has been posted to!
then someone calls him back and as they return to the scene of the investigation, kuryu carries amamiya's bag for her.

that's all.

I have to agree with you on your observation when anamiya recited the whole football team. My sister thought it was funny and so unromantic. I beg to differ. In contrast to anamiya's offhand response that she's not interested in football, bet she learnt it after kuryu said he'd take her to the game. She properly read up the whole thing

Search for something like:Kimura Takuya in Hero or Japanese drama Hero

Some ppl said that hero was overated..i didn't think so....it's a hilarious show though the cases are quite illogical sometimes..and there isn't much on the relationship between takuya and matsu...but still an entertaining show...I love the office ppl..so funny Applaud

to me it is kind of overrated. Its a good show but nothing really spectacular. No like wedding planner or anything like that. It's just like a jap version of matlock or whatever that detective show is.

i sort of agree with you on this... i expected a little more from the show since everybody kept giving it such high praises. beautiful life is another overrated show... dispite everybody loving the show.

This is what we called "Takuya's Magic". Actually, most of his shows are pretty overrated juz cos he's in it! But don't forget, Takuya is in fact a good actor and light up the whole story.

I thought beautiful life was overrated EXCEPT for the music. (boringgg... i thought takuya was pretty dull in that show) But i don't think hero is overrated...

well i guess ppl who like melodramatic love stories will prefer the beautiful life type of show over shows like hero...

personally though i think its a great show. everyone acted well, not just takuya... the show is hilarious, at times meaningful. The chemistry between takuya and matsu is great in this show. The plot is great, and not that unbelievable to me... overall i'd say its GTO like... but less outrageous than GTO

Hero aka "Investigator Kuriyu" hehe
I really enjoyed Hero, nothin against it. Hilarious, no suspense, hehe.
Liked his obsession on tv shop and and the bartender who had everything!
I have liked every Takuya drama so far. The name "Takuya Kimura" itself sells cos he's one of the most popular artist in Japan. Every Takuya drama is overrated, hehe.
