How to say I love you in Japanese?

erm... i think it's Aishiteiru or Aishiteimasu

i think there's many ways of saying it.. aishiteru is just the dictionary form ne~ no subjects or anything.. ask malorum.. or golgo.. their answer would be more accurate..

I thought kekkon means marriage? anyway, i dont know japanese as well but from watching animes, i think 'anata wa daisuki' means i like you very much.

Yup Kekkon=marriage

and unless you are going out with someone already then "daisuki" would be better then "aishiteru".

I often hear somethink like "... skinan desu" or something like that what does it mean? often translatetd as "I love you"

dont know how its spelled in romaji but suki or iski means 'like'; so daisuki means like very much. i think.

What does 'daisuki na hito' mean exactly? Its from the theme song of Oyaji.

The Japanese did not have a tradition of saying "I love you" to a mate in the same way they did not have a tradition of kissing. These all came about as a result of westernization of the nation.

I remember reading in a book once that Japanese women sought American GIs stationed in Japan because the women thought being told "I love you" was so sweet and romantic (as they saw in American films), and it was something Japanese males never did.

Thus, you cannot literally translate "I love you" into Japanese. Such a phrase does not exist.

"Aishiteimasu" or its variant is just made up for purposes of TV and movies.

Besides, isn't it better to show love through one's actions rather than his words?

ore ni tsuitekoi basically means "follow me!" in a very manly manner i guess
but sometimes it is really difficult and makes no sense to directly translate japanese to english...
sounds weird if you tell a girl follow me in english.....
daisuki na hito is the person i like (a lot)
again weird direct translation...
japanese is a language that usually omits the subject "I" and sometimes even the object "you"
note that daisuki na hito has no "I" in it direct literal translation would be"person like"

How to say mother in Japanese?

It's different depending on if you're talking about your mom or someone else's mom. If it's your mom, you can say "kaa-san" if it's someone else's mom you can make it polite by saying "okaa-san"
