drama, i am in middle ... is a single episode based one... it is fun ... light watching .. no serious blah blah blah !!!

Hitomi is that old? 45? she sure does not look that old, she looks maybe 35. but she does look good, i prefer the younger gals though, Rina, Rena, Nana, etc....

For those not familiar with 20th century American culture... the "Golden Age" of bowling was approximately 1950 - 1970.

Around 1950, automatic bowling pin placing machines were invented and widespread within a few years. Crowds were big and bowling alleys sprung up everywhere by the early 1960s.

That's why the music of Paul Anka and the graphics used in Golden Bowl reflect the late 1950s and early 1960s.

One of bowling's all-time greats, Earl Anthony, used to live in the SF Bay. His alley used to be called Amador Lanes back in the day:

so the one in SF japantown shut down as well? bummer. was there just visiting the kinokuniya bookstore there. saw where the bowling alley was, didn't know it shut down.
yeah, bowling alleys and the sport seems like it is a dying breed...
i use to bowl a lot before.

Whenever I think of bowling I also think of "The Big Lebowski".

golden bowl...when i 1st watched the 1st cd (i bought it), i could'nt help not to finish it in 1 day. I found these series interesting because of some bowling technique (and also the lead actor, takeshi kaneshiro) about kuroki hitomi, i've watched her in forbidden love ( i don't know the japanese title, can anyone tell me) as the mother of takizawa hideaki. she's quite good.
