"ko" more or less means child. in nobu (depending on how you write it, what kanji is used) it means trusting.

[S (sayuri) it may not mean too much. something to do with lilies
[悢 (yayoi) sorry, i don't think it means anything. Sweat

remember, not all JPN names have a definition. Mr Green
Are these girls you plan to mack on? Naughty

Okay, I can understand why folks are interested in Japanese entertainment... but not why they'd want a Nihonjin name? Confused

Maybe if I didn't have a Japanese name it would make sense. Head Scratch

ummo..my first post ever ^^;;

I`m not too sure, but my englsih name means "princess" so i guess that would make my japanese name "hime"?

or, my proper englsih anme is sarah (or sera for japanese pronounciation) can anyone find some good kanji for that? "_";

also, i am a small fan of a great cosplayer, whose name is "ruki" i was just wondering what the name ment..if it had any meaning at all? (mind you, this is a nick name) the kanji is  and on babel fish it translates as...stationary tree...o_o;;

thankyou for the help~

Ever wonder what your real Japanese name was?
well you can get your japanese name from the Name Generator!!
http://rumandmonkey.com/widgets/toys/namegen/969/

Mine was:

H{ Akimoto (autumn book) | Yumi (beautiful bow, as in bow and arrow)...LOL

remember put in your surname first!
Not entirely correct as I did a search
of Yamada Takayuki and the result was Rc Yamada (mountain field) Kenta (healthy and plump), which it should be RcFV

Still fun to do though

Thanks bmw.

I'll be merging this topic with the existing one that bmwracer has pointed out.

Joe, since it's early in January still it may not be too late, stop by your local community college (or look up their website) and see if they offer a conversational Japanese class.

Your name would not translate into Japanese. You'd have to make an approximation.

As PCM said above, your name would be written in katakana (the Japanese phonetical alphabet for foreign-origin words).
