This maybe my most favorite drama ever. I've watched it for the nth time already to the point that whenever I feel down and out I just watch episode 4 all over again.(the amusement park date episode)

Hello there -- The answer to your question is about 10 posts up ... at the top of this page ...
Basically Hiro was good enough (or wanted enought by the MLB ??? ) to get to the MLB through posting and Hideo had to wait a little longer and go as a FA.
A good example of posting would be the Boston Red Sox bid to get Daisuke Matsuzaka
" The Red Sox won the bidding for Matsuzaka's rights last month, promising to pay the Seibu Lions $51.11 million if they let him leave for the major leagues. " .... that wasn't even his contract I think his contract was like $60 million for 6 years or something.

I check the link, no seed, so want to watch that and more clips with Koutaro. Love him and Hikari in H2, too bad there isn't more scene of him in the dorama.

I really love the show, but i'm a bit confused.
Doesn't Hiro love Hikari? Or at least Hikari love Hiro?
SPOILER:
I'm trying to get the true meaning of the scene before Koshien, where they meet at night.. my interpretation was..
It seems Hiro "asked" Hikari a "selfish" request, to tell him that she loves him (indirectly), asking her "Even if you don't mean it, give me your regards for the match"
She then goes on saying "it won't mean anything, if i just say it" and not only does she say it, but she says it multiple times, emphasizing she's rooting for him.
I felt liked those two could have easily confessed to each other that night.
Rather, i was a bit surprised Hiro and Hikari didn't get together. In an unbiased way..
