man even i hate boybands,but i accepted girl band...ehehe,SPEED is the one i like,anyone know about these band,i have downloaded new full album of SPEED - BRIDGE _________________ -=I LOVE BOXTORRENT=-

<------ Yup I like them too. Only listening to their songs these days. I'm downloading anything SPEED related stuff now like crazy. I personally like Eriko the most out of the four. I find she's good on stage; she brings the atmosphere up.

Yeah they are pretty good. Esp. their new stuff, I like them better than the old style.

The lead singer is Hiroko. Hiroko and Eriko sings most of the stuff. Hitoe and Takako don't really contribute that much to the singing. They've released a few albums from way back when, and a total of 11 singles before they split in 2000. Apparently Hiroko was complaining about the loss of her childhood since she was too young when Speed was first formed, so they split up. Eriko and Takako both went on with their solo singing careers and both had some acting stints as well. Out of the two, Takako was more successful, but neither hit it anywhere as big as they had done so collectively. Hitoe went overseas to learn english and dance and Hiroko took a break. They had a reunion concert and an album from that about 1 or 2 yrs ago for charity.

My EX idol.... their new stuff are good though.... and hitoe is one of the best dancer out there, is really obvious when four of them dance together..... yeah, they broke up at yr 2000...am i right??? I'm soo sad at that time, quit listening to jpop for almost a yr.....
btw, they gather together again for charity in 2002....am i right???

I agree. My first Speed song was Steady and I still love it.

Why is Hitoe always just in the background Cry

I like her, she's the most unique (IMHO)! I know her vocals aren't as strong as the rest, but she seems to be "just there". Sweat

Her solo single "I Got You" was awesome though. I can't say much for the rest of her debut album, sadly.

I kind of like Speed..I think it's the best girl band there is..compare to the other. Their music style is more mature now, in fact I like it a lot, well their old stuff too is also good (my favorite is Steady). Eriko Imai and Hiro are those who can sing very well.

Yeah thanks for reminding me. I forgot about that part. Hiro released 2 albums after her break. She was more popular than Eriko and Takako in that aspect. Hitoe released an album too, but no one seemed to notice it. The only one who's really still in the scene pretty much now is Takako, since she's the most popular in the looks department.

as far as hitoe, she may be too busy doing artwork. she released her work from her gallery a couple of yrs back.
