No, I don't really forget easily. It's weird, sometimes, I remember things that I haven't even tried to. They just stick in here! *hitting head*

Workout early on that day.

I hit a bar or a club at night....

it's getting boring though. I need some new hobbies and venues to meet some new, fresh faces.

A typical Saturday..

- Waking up and listening to Osaka FM for a while before getting out of my futon (^^)
- Having a tasty Japanese breakfast
- Either watch TV, study, laze around the house or go out during the day..
- Nighttime I might go out with friends to karaoke, a restaurant, etc.
- Come home and have a long hot bath, then maybe watch a bit of TV and go to bed.

Hmmm, yeah I guess that is a typical Saturday. Mr Green

my saturday huh.....

this is what i 'plan' to do on my saturdays.....

1) wake up early to do the things below
2) do assignments [ @#$%^&*! ]
3) play/finish up my 'other' games on my com
4) finish painting some miniatures of mine
5) watch some dramas/animes

BUT...this is how my saturdays usually turn up.

1) wake up late
2) never do any assignments at all
3) too lazy to play other games besides DOTA on Battlenet [warcraft III]
4) never even touched my miniatures at all
5) no dramas/animes to watch....so how can i even watch?!!

Man. I never thought I'd tangentially find like interests on a JDrama page (the other one is the religion, now philosophy, thread started up by FierceStriker).

Tekanan . . . I've always been fascinated by how precise lead miniatures can be painted and designed. What's the trick? Practice? Or is one able to create Lilliputian-like realism on the first try (armed with a few tricks of the trade)? Is it all in the primer (Lord knows it works well when The Man painted his house on two occassions ["I only think of you / On Two Occassions / . . ." whoops, sorry, folks])?

I swear, I've taken a magnifying glass to some of 'em, and you can see designs you'd swear needed to be painted on such miniatures by someone of the same stature.

Last Q: those games that you mentioned above: are they computer games or ones that use miniatures?

Thanks.

Man, you should check out your fellow hawaiian's skillz in miniature painting. not lead, but it's still small. (sorry to toot your horn, groink) Check it:

Whoa, yeah . . . if that figure's a hand-painted one, that's a great job. Man, Groink should work for the CIA or something; they're in dire need for someone of his talents at this time in history. He could single-handedly debunk the "Ivy League graduate" myth that our intelligence services tend to adhere only too closely toward (what? This is not un-patriotism. It's free speech. Moreover . . . yikes, I can only hope Groink ain't no Ivy Leaguer himself hehe ).

Painted miniatures, however, hold a special place in The Man's heart as he played, from about age, oh, 12-17, Advanced Dungeons and Dragons. Now, our group o' pals were mostly paper, pencil, rulebook, and dice-type patrons of the game (we also played Melee along with Wizard and Death Test; anybody remember those?) . . . but, I guess if we had the expertise, incorporating painted miniatures (and settings as well!) -- and this is not to say that the use of imagination and fighting over game rules wasn't fun in and of itself -- the use of painted would have enhanced the game exponentially.

Thanks! Cool!

That "used" to be my Saturday activity. Right now, I'm prepping a new kit I've been waiting for MONTHS to work on... An Asuka Langley (Evangelion NEON Genesis) kit I'm just dying to complete:

Right now I'm in the sanding stages. After sanding and a thorough bath in dish washing liquid (serious!), I'll start painting the individual pieces... Put the pieces together with modeling cement and straightend-out paper clips... Then apply putty, sanding and more painting. When everything's finished, here's what she's going to look like:

She's something to die for... Nut
