I belief they will get divorced. Akira has finally knew what she really wanted which is to help her father in the noodle shop and to continue with the family business. The husband seems to be too engulfed in the theatre business than giving it up.
That's what I think. It's up to personal interpretation. |

| You should have at least added "Spoiler warning". Those who haven't seen the series, it might spoil the whole series. Unfair for em. |

don't think so. she's more mature and responsible after the break-up. even though the ex-bf has changed for the better. how funny when makoto and yiu left the ex-bf at the train station without any money to go back.
Saw that you're currently watching Fighting Girl. How was it? I thought it was OK, but the drama is a bit slow and a letdown for me. But the korean actress Yoon Soon Ha is quite good in japanese. Can't wait to see her acting in Good Luck !! It'll be my next drama after Gokusen.
Agree with Pemu, I totally forgot that it could spoil for others. Hontoni Gomen nasai... |

to me fighting girl is interesting.. a little slow at times but i still like it!!
both kyoko and yoon son ha is good!! and that guy , emm the one that kyoko treats like her driver is kind of cute!
.. maybe i like this show because i love 'tough girl' story.. its irritating to see gal that is too soft and fragile
uhmm.. what else?
oh yeah.. the guy as ketaro, i think thats the name.. the one that work in kyoko's father factory? he kind of cute too i think he likes kyoko's blind sister.. her sis also kawaii
im thinking of buying good luck and beauty and the beast on the next trip. but maybe later.. no money at the moment $$$$.
if its not good, dont forget to tell me!! dun wan to waste my money

Canon? That's one of her earliest works! The piano piece! I love that piece and Kyoko's piano playing as well A remix version is also available on her Universe album.
Who said she didn't have any talent? |

| Too bad her music career ended. Pony Canyon didn't renew the contract due to the sluggish sales of her works and she's been concentratin more on her acting than music career. Can be noticed. The last single she released was Flow - Kyoko Fukada Remixes a year ago. |

Hi everybody! I am new here. I am from the Philippines and I just started to watch otousan and the first time I watched it I loved it. I love the values that it wanted to tell people and young ones like me..anyways, I like it so much and I really commend all the actors/actresses that are included in this series they did a pretty good job. I don't understand Japanese-only the famous ones like, arigato ang sumimasen but their portrayal was enough for me to understand their pain, their happiness, and the family love. I just lost my father and he was really a protective man just like otousan...I do hope that all people who does this kind of work all over Asia will continue to do quality movies and series like this one. Great work!!
P.S.
Can someone send me a copy of the script of Otousan (in English pls.)
Thanks! And also the lyrics of its theme song (in JApanese but in English alphabet) Thanks again!!! |

Hello Peachy, welcome to the forum!
Sorry to hear about your late father, my sincere condolences.
Hang in there and keep on living, I'm sure it's your father's wish as well. Lean on someone who is close to you when you're havin a difficult time. Time will heal the wound.
Glad to hear you liked the drama, I liked it as well. A family drama about the story of a man who has a soba restaurant and singlehandledly raised 4 of his beautiful daughters and all the difficult obstacles they face during their journey. It was a shame you weren't able to watch a subbed version, you couldn't get 100% of the story
As for the translated scripts, It's unlikely it exists except some tv-statios have it. |

Otousan is similar to Oyaji, both are family dramas but have different elements:
Otousan: a single father and 4 stubborn daughters.
Oyaji: a stubborn, old fashioned and mr-know-it-all dad, a sexy wife and their 3 rebellious children, hehe! |
