Maho Nonami gives birth to 2nd child

Actor Mikami Kensei's wife actress Nonami Maho has given birth to their second child.

According to the announcement on their agency's website, the couple welcomed a 3,190 gram (7 lb) baby girl on September 16 at 3:36 pm.

Both Mikami and the couple's first daughter were present during the birth of their new family member. "I've gained another treasure in my life. When I think about how this tiny life will blow a new wind into our family, I become excited about our future. The four of us will support each other to make everyday full of love," the actress expressed.

Nonami and Mikami married in December of 2012. Their first daughter was both in June of the following year.

Mao Abe gives birth to a baby boy

On September 23, singer Abe Mao updated her official blog and announced the birth of her first child, a baby boy.

Abe expressed, "I am happy to have met my new family member and thankful to my fans who have watched over and supported the birth of this life. I am doing my best so that those feelings can be reflected in Abe Mao's activities. Please continue to support me."

Abe married her band member Iizuka Akira in January, then announced her pregnancy in March. She held her nationwide tour "2015-nen Zenkoku Tour 'Abe Mao Live No.6'" from March to May as planned.

An expecting twins

Higashide Masahiro and An who got married on New Year's Day last year, are expecting twins to be born this coming summer. According to their agencies, due to the fact that An is pregnant with twins, there needs to be extra care taken so for the time being. Their agencies called upon the media and public to give the couple space and support during this period. According to the 14th January issue of "Josei Seven", An was seen buying maternity shorts at a maternity lingerie shop in Shinjuku in the middle of last month thus fueling speculation that she is pregnant.

Higashide Masahiro and An announced the arrival of their twin baby girls through a joint statement released by her agency on 16 May. In the statement, they said that the babies were born a bit earlier than the expected due date but both mother and daughters are doing well. However, they did not reveal the birth date nor the weight of the babies. They pledged to become parents who their children would not be ashamed of and asked for the advice and guidance of everyone around them as they try their best to raise their children.

Meanwhile, An's father Watanabe Ken also posted on his Twitter that he received news of his grand-daughters' arrival and is glad to know that they are all doing well. Although the babies will be spending some time in the hospital for now and be discharged later, he hopes that the new parents will be able to spend some quiet and peaceful days with their babies from now on. He also said that he is eagerly anticipating to see how his daughter and son-in-law would be as parents and said that Higashide seemed to be quite panicky since the babies arrived earlier than expected.

In addition, she said that she and the baby are both doing well and that she's glad to be able to make the announcement now. She ended the statement by asking for the continued support of everyone around her. Kichise's agency said that they waited till she is in a stable stage of her pregnancy before they could make the announcement and she will come back to work after childbirth depending on her condition.

Kichise married her husband who is 10 years older than her in December 2010 and gave birth to their first daughter in July 2013.

Yu Kashii and Odagiri Jo welcome third son

Odagiri Jo and Kashii Yu welcomed the arrival of their third son as announced by her agency on 22 August. Both mother and son are doing well. With regard to when she will return to work, it will depend on Kashii's health condition and childcare needs.

Odagiri and Kashii got married in February 2008 and their sons were born in February 2011 and April 2014. Unfortunately, their second son suddenly passed away in April last year due to an illness. Last month, when Odagiri was asked about his wife's third pregnancy, he acknowledged this by thanking the reporters for their concern.

Kumiko Endo announces marriage and pregnancy

Endo Kumiko announced her marriage and pregnancy through a fax statement released by her agency. Her husband is visual producer and movie director Yokoo Hatsuki. In her statement, Endo said that she registered her marriage to Yokoo in July and their first baby is due to be born next spring. With regard to how they met, the couple worked together on a movie in Shiga several years ago and only reunited last December where they exchanged contact details. Even though they had only dated for a short while, they enjoy each other's company and had plans for the future since they started dating. They also revealed that their parents were very happy to hear about Endo's pregnancy and asked for everyone's warm support going forward.

Endo who goes by the nickname Enkumi, used to be very popular and active in variety shows but focuses more on her acting career these days. As for Yokoo, he has directed films such as "PLAN B" shown in 2016 and "Yurari" due to be shown in 2017.

Ai Kago pregnant with her second child

Ai Kago has announced her second pregnancy via her official blog.

Last month Kago married a 38 year old manager of a beauty related company. On her blog, she said, "Everyone, including my family and staff are happy for me. Even I'm surprised about this sudden event, but I want to carefully take care of this small life inside of me."

Previously Kago was married to a president of a restaurant management company. She gave birth to their child, a daughter, in June of 2012, but they later divorced in June of 2015.

Kichise Michiko announced via her official website on 1 November that she had given birth to her second daughter on 26 October.

In her statement, Kichise said that the baby was born earlier than expected but it was a relief that the delivery went smoothly. The baby girl weighed 2,848 grams at birth and both mother and child are doing well. Kichise also revealed that her elder daughter is already displaying the traits of an elder sister and she looks forward to building a happy family filled with love and laughter. As for work plans, Kichise plans to return to work gradually depending on her condition and thanked everyone for supporting her so far.

Nagai Masaru and Nakagoshi Noriko are expecting their first child as announced by the latter via her Instagram account on 17 December. Masaharu Fukuyama and Kazue Fukiishi welcome their first child

Fukuyama Masaharu and Fukiishi Kazue's first child has been born as announced via his fanclub website on 22 December. According to Fukuyama's agency, the couple has no plans to announce the details about their baby including date of birth and gender. Both mother and child are doing well now.

In Fukuyama's statement, he mentioned that they had been praying for the delivery to be smooth and that the baby be healthy. He also revealed that it was lucky that he could be present when the baby was born and that he cried upon seeing his child and hearing the baby cry for the first time.

Fukuyama and Fukiishi got married in September last year and she announced her pregnancy in August this year.

Natsuki Harada pregnant with first child

It was reported on 31 December that Harada Natsuki is currently pregnant with her first child. According to insiders, she is currently five months' pregnant and due to give birth in June.

Harada who was the heroine of NHK's 2004 morning drama "Wakaba", got married in June 2016 to her husband who is the same age as her and works as a doctor. They met through mutual friends and dated for just 5 months before getting married.

Harada is appearing in the real-life adaptation movie of "Hagane no Renkin Jutsushi" starring Yamada Ryosuke which is due to be shown in cinemas from December and will make her return to acting depending on her condition after childbirth.

Emoto Tasuku and Ando Sakura are expecting their first child as reported on 6 March. According to insiders, Ando is currently seven and a half months pregnant and due to give birth in June. At present, she is busy with the filming of "DESTINY Kamakura Monogatari" and will begin her maternity break once that is wrapped up. This will be the couple's first child and Tasuku's father Emoto Akira's first grandson. Her agency confirmed the news of her pregnancy.

Ando is the daughter of actor Okuda Eiji and essayist Ando Kazu while her elder sister Ando Momoko is a movie director. As for Emoto, his mother Tsunogae Kazue is an actress while his younger brother Tokio is also an actor. The couple dated for three years before getting married on White Day in 2012. Ando's most recent public appearance was on 3 March when she was the host and presenter at the Nippon Academy Awards ceremony.

On the same day, she had appeared in an event for Mitsubishi Electric where she wore a loose-fitting dress and flat shoes without heels thus sparking speculation about whether she is pregnant. Although her agency confirmed her pregnancy, they also said that she has no plans of giving further details such as when she's due to give birth. Nonetheless, she is believed to have passed her first trimester and should be giving birth sometime in summer this year.
