1. Teru Teru Ashita [Rating: 8/10]
finished Teru Teru Ashita

1. the plot is really something else!
2. the characters and their developement are really something else!
3. the settng was also really something else!

if you're bored with comedy/love/medical/sport/dark doramas and want something with an orginal story making you feel like you're in a unique, this one's for you.

8.5/10

and no, it's not Ame to Yume no Ato ni 2 and for those who like the casts from Ame to Yume, there's gonna be some surprises. and i love Teruyo-chan's mom's answering machine... "Haaaiii... Keiko-desu..."

the only thing annoying about it is that the pace is awfully slow! (especially when it comes to that Yu-boy and Saya-san )

the best thing about it is, it's so memorable. after you finish watching it, it feels like you actually lived in Sasara-no-Kan, at least for 495 minutes

2. Very Underrated Mystery Fantasy [Rating: 7/10]
This is a very coming-of-age type story that blends family drama with fantasy producing a combined concept that is quite unique in its own way. Although it is not for everyone and is not even that entertaining, I must admit that is it very well done within its own genre. I found myself wanting to watch more and more, and the story gradually unfolded as it progressed much to my delight. Thus, persistence is the key to enjoying this drama, and to admire the acting talents of the new-comer kurokawa - she seems to handle her main role with precision and emotional balance when sometimes she could easily go over-to-top like other teenage actors (eg. Dandori Drill). Anyway, I quite enjoyed it, and the town in which the drama was based within really appealled to me. A good story for casual viewing, on say, a saturday or sunday afternoon?

3. Synopsis [Rating: ?/10]
Set in a town called Sasara, strange events occur one after the other. The episodes in this drama are interweaved tales from popular skilled author Kano Tomoko's books, "Sasara Saya" and "Teru Teru Ashita." In this new re-telling, we get a one-of-a-kind view of this fantasy world. The main character, Teruyo, writes of various parent-child relationships and also of couples' love. With a mix of mystery and horror genres, "Teru Teru Ashita" provides a little thrill as well as being a fantasy drama which allows you to understand love and kindness. So on Friday nights, won't you come and experience the warmth of a little town called Sasara?

4. This is good [Rating: 9/10]
This sure is the most unusual series by far this season and to me the most interesting one of all, really loved it. Kurokawa Tomoka realy gives is the best in ep 10, that scene where she ran back to her room and Kimura Tae followed after her, man, they have the comera at her without cutting, how amazing is that and thats a 2 minutes long scene, she looks so natural. Didn't think a 17yrs old will be able to do such an emotional scene. Love it.

5. Correct Actor? [Rating: 8/10]
I don't really want to review this show. I just noticed that in the cast section it lists "Kaneko Ken" as Matsumoto Youta. But I don't think he's the correct actor from the show. I think the real actor who portrays Youta is "Kaneko Noboru".

Shares much of the producers and cast of Ame to Yume no Ato ni, and it's fun spotting the references to it. A coming of age story whose attempts at magical realism are only partially successful. The plot slight is slight and meandering, but at least the performances are good, Kurokawa Tomoka is a charismatic young lead. It just lacks sparkle and that certain something to make it special.

This almost like a coupling to Ame to Yume no Ato ni because of the many references to that drama and especially the similar casting (a few guest appearances as well). That's where the difference ends. Teruteru Ashita is a very slow-paced drama that may not appeal to some people, still it managed to hold my attention because of the mysteries surrounding the ghost girl Yasuko.

Heartwarming story about a young girl struggling with the disaster of being uprooted from a posh, comfortable lifestyle in Tokyo - forced to live in the countryside and earn her keep. Decent acting and likeable characters make this story about the young-girl-next-door- type protagonist an interesting diversion for sympathetic members of the viewing audience.

It's really hard to explain this drama. It can be really cheesy, and yet I just smile. It becomes quite sad, and yet I just smile. Teru Teru Ashita is nothing amazing and yet it is really special. It stands out as a unique drama with lovable characters, and a light hearted take on traditionally darker subject matters.

Although I am not really into supernatural stories, this one was rather watchable because the story didn't focus on supernatural occurances as much as it did on a spoiled young girl growing into a responsible one. The theme song by Hirakawachi Icchome--Unmei no mukou--was also very easy to listen to as well.

Incredibly slow, but still a very cute atmosphere and environment through the whole drama. Since im a big fan of different kinds of buildings I LOVED the house!! Such cozy rooms, i would do anything to live in a room like that. Liked the mysterious story as well!

Authentic!!!!! Unique!!!! This drama is very deep, I think that only for its originality it worthes watching. It's sometimes a bit strange, and "kowai" but its not an horror movie, but a ROMANCE. The song suits so weel. A very pleasant and romantic drama

Un petit drama pas formidable mais qui se laisse regarder sans probleme. Clins d'oeils a Ame to Yume no Ato ni pas indispensables mais bon, si ca leur fait plaisir...

Et merci Kimura Tae tout de meme.

I was afraid that this was going to be "ame to yume" #2 and suck, but it isn't. :D A completly new story and characters. Not as good as "ame", but still great.

Watching... it's a bit on the strange side, but I think it's quite nice. (BTW It's not Kaneko Ken, it's Kaneko Noboru)

It was kinda boring... Teruyo was annoying till the end. Yet somehow I finished watching it. Why? Don't know myself.

A spiritual sequel to Ame to Yume no Ato ni, a drama I wouldn't have expected to have been appreciated enough to have a sequel spiritual or otherwise, but was so happy to see it happen. It's not quite as good as the former but still is a close second.

I donLt like the character of Kimura TaeLs role so much, but I like to see her acting in ame to yume no ato ni!
I think the plot wouldnLt be that interesting if Tomoka and the other actors havenLt be in it.
