| 1. | Best family drama series ever. [Rating: 10/10] Together with Hitotsu yane no shita 1, they make the best family drama series IMO. In this second instalment, the Kashiwagi family returns with more intriguing and addictive storylines. Masaya (Fukuyama Masaharu) is away for about 60% of the show, but the show is still brilliant. Great acting by the cast, especially Noriko Sakai towards the end. Eguchi Yosuke as usual, does the part of the extremely sensitive brother well, and Matsu Takako was just SOOO cute!! The theme song used for the show is the same as the first, which I thought was a very nice touch as well. This drama will play through every emotion in your heart and will make you laugh/cry/angry/touched etc etc.. It is that good. The last storyline though.. my god.... It will glue you to the screen. All in all, Excellent stuff. Highly Recommended!!~ | Reviewed by DragonSpirit164 on 5 April 2004 | 2. | One of the best. [Rating: 10/10] A must see if you saw the first series but then again you would already know that...lol. Not so much of "Masaya" in this one but he performs very well in the end. Nice touch with Miki but not so sure about the Masumi guy. The ending is very very unexpected as the above review says. You'll cry with emotion. P.S.-I think the opposite result for the ending would have been better though, or at least develop the original more. You'll know what I mean when you see it. Also, I was left confused with the gangster guy(not the brother) and his attitude. | Reviewed by biga816 on 1 July 2002 | 3. | I think I may like it better than the original [Rating: 9/10] I go back and forth, but I want to give this a 9.5 (while I gave the original a 9). It was an excellent sequel, but also excellent in it's storywise in it's own right--which few sequels can do. I laughed, I cried, I vented to and with my mom (it's one of the few dramas she watched with me from beginning to end), I laughed, I loved. | Reviewed by Shani on 28 September 2006 | 4. | One of the classics [Rating: 10/10] Great cast and good performances. That why this series became a classic. An interesting story line based on family bond between brothers and sisters.

| 1. | Comments by DragonSpirit164 [Rating: 10/10] My god!!! This is even better than the first instalment!!! One of the reasons is the addition of Matsu Takako to the series, as it made it more appealing to me. The Kashiwagi family returns this time with all new intriguing storylines and troubles, and also see a couple of additions to the family home. We some some family members trying to come to terms with events that happened in the first instalment, as well as others looking to seek a new life elsewhere. The last storyline in the show is GUARANTEED to keep you glued to the screen till the very end as well as play every emotion ever known to you in your heart. No joke. This is the best family drama ever IMO. | 2. | Comments by marzyu [Rating: 7/10] Now we're talking better! This one wuz wayyy better than da first one! I actually sorta enjoy watching this drama, while I hated da other one! I've gave this a chance and saw a BIG improvement if u compare the 2 together! I'll watch this only and not watch the first one becuz this one actually repeated alot of scenez from the old one! I wuz actually happy for this one! The ending is not bad too~! | 3. | Comments by HimuraGirl [Rating: 9/10] The ending in this dorama is what I expect to be happened in the 1st part, but then when it happened in this 2nd part, I realized that I didn't really want it to end that way. Aside that, there are some touching scenes here that moved my emotion, the one that I could still imagine clearly is when Sakai Noriko being carried by her uncle seeing the sunset on the top of the hospital. | 4. | Comments by michigal78 [Rating: 10/10] still love it as the first series! the players are more mature in the second series. I like Ishida Issei here, he's so cool! Kakkoii! and Yamamoto Koji were more handsome here than in the first series. Ishida's character more powerful here. love it:P, but i don't like the ending..it's too abstract..eniwei, u should watch the first series to understand the second series though | 5. | Comments by dokodemodoa [Rating: 9/10] I admit, I expect too much from this since i haven't watch the first one yet. I laugh, angry, sad, and many times quirking my eyes seeing some absurdity and nonsense thing here and there. But this thing makes me can't stop watching. In the end I'm just... satisfied...
Well, what can i say, It's a drama afterall.. a very very enjoyable heartwarming one | 6. | Comments by pandora [Rating: 6/10] sorely dissapointing, curiosity to see if anything had happened between anchan and koyuki is the onlything that had induced me to get it. I think they (the makers) were not faithful to the first part. It did not like it. But i suppose it is still worth watching, i think..... | 7. | Comments by tetsukei [Rating: 7/10] Firstly I am absolutely glad that the same opening theme is used! Another very touching sequel. And it isn't any worse than its prequel. By that, i mean that it is one of those sequels which is actually good!
Humour 7/10 Story 8/10 Actors 8/10 Music 7/10 | 8. | Comments by amethyst [Rating: 6/10] Continuation of part one. Carries on the tale of the 5 siblings but with one of them, Masaya, away for most of the episodes, and some additions to cast. Ending I watched was the re-filmed one, which was absolutely dumb! Spoilt the entire show. | 9. | Comments by kazuya_ [Rating: 9/10] Continues the story of the Kashiwagi family as they search for love and happiness living together as a family after 7 years of separation. Notable addition to the cast is Matsu Takako. One of the best dramas from the late 90's. | 10. | Comments by catcat [Rating: 9/10] a good drama to watch for the whole family. continues on from the first series in which they are now older. the addition of matsu takako made the drama even better than the first one. recommend for people of all ages to see. | 11. | Comments by Wisteria [Rating: 7/10] A good sequel, continuing on the family-centric drama, but this time with two additions to the family. Humorus sometimes, sad other times; it takes you on a rollercoaster ride of emothions. Definitely one to watch. | 12. | Comments by enen_shun [Rating: 9/10] same as the part 1 ... i dun really remembered the scenes and story... but i remembered in Part 2 there's Takako Matsu in the show acting as the 3rd brother's GF ~~ hehez ~~ very touchy ~~ very nice !! | 13. | Comments by pumpkin puff [Rating: 10/10] I thought the first one was good, but wait until you watch this sequel! The plot is a lot more dramatic and unpredictable! It's such a sweet drama. I highly recommend this! | 14. | Comments by chipolata [Rating: 8/10] I watch this just because curious about Koyuki's (Noriko Sakai) destiny and long for Masaya's (Fukuyama Mashaharu)smile, hahaha..
