The server is having some problems, possibly hardware related, the tech guys are looking at it.

hrm there was a problem with the backend server, tried to soft reboot it but it didn't came back up so I have to wait for an onsite techy to go and hard reboot it.

somebody tripped over a cable or something because there wasn't any power to the server Doh!

the back-end server is not booting up. I've put in a request with the provider to have it hard booted but nobody has responded in 2.5 hrs

there was a scheduled downtime for maintainence and there will be another one tonight.

just banned a few more IPs they seem to come from servers with no websites on them and they're using way to many connections to be legit users, I bet they're scrapping info off jdorama.

I wonder if there is a way to automate that. Essentially ban an IP temporarily if there is an unusual amount of connections from it. It would unban after a predetermined period of time.

not sure if it was deliberate or not but somebody was openning up a ton of connections to this site, kinda of a DoS attack. I've banned that IP for now.
