I'm currently watching Orange Days. So so sweet! But also reminds me of Say You Love Me and Asunaro Hakusho.

Also re-watching Good Luck. Couldn't get enough of the stubborn Shinkai!

Watched dekichatta kekkon and finished it in 2 days. Shocked
Man, that's gotta be a record for me. I got hooked right from the start so i watched as much as I can. Ryoko did a very good job in this series but I think her role in summer snow is still the best. The girl playing Misato (Katase Nana) is very pretty.

Watched the last episode of From the Heart and Merry Xmas in Summer - both of which are good dramas. Not much comic relief in this one - its mostly heavy drama which is why it took me alog, long, long time to finish.
Sweat

Now, I'm gonna try to resume watching Fighting Girl since my anticipated dramas - 'Lover in Paris' and 'Bodyguard' has no release this week. Shake Head Bang Head hehe

I'm sure glad my drama hard disk didnt crash. whew...

right now I am watching:

kimi ga omoi de ni naru mae ni (before you become a memory...)
waterboys 2
minami-kun no koibito

oh... and i am almost done with fuyu no sonata (sniff sniff)

i recommend "minami-kun no koibito"... its about a girl and a boy... and they get a fortune cookie saying they should always be together... and then something happens... and she turns rika-chan size (heh)

new line up of dramas for me:
-Waterboys 2 (obviously)
-Fugitive (still trying to get to watch the first episodes)
-The drama with Ninomiya Kazunari from ARASHI (Still can't get a chance to rent because it's always gone...)
-Yamada Takayuki from Fireboy's new Drama( long name, quite serious love story, looks promising to me...)
-Another detective story with the guy who played the swim coach in "At Home Dad", not the BEST detective stroies, but it is funny....

Watching?

I just got a copy of Yamaguchi Tomoko's "Sweet Home" the 1994 follow up to 1993's "Double Kitchen".

It's not a sequal, but it's the same kind of domestic comedy.

"D.K." newlyweds living in the apartment above the husband's parents, and the battles between the bride (Tomoko) and her imperious pain in the butt Mother-in-law, played by Nogiwa Yoko.

"S.H." is about the parents of a 4 year old falling into the competition with other parents as to which of their kids will be more successful. And who is willing to do more for their kids. Nogiwa (who also plays the Mom in Trick) plays the imperious, pain in the butt Cram School Teacher.

Cram school to see who gets into the best Kindergarden! Jeez!

I'm also watching "Kougen e Irasshai" ("Welcome to the High Plains") as it's broadcast once a week. Three episodes in the can.

Oh man, I remember Sweet Home... I forgot to tape it a few years back when it was on... Sad It looked like a sequel to Double Kitchen...

Different characters, same genre.

I've only seen 2 episodes so far (one per night, that's it, I'm not messing around this time, there just isn't enough Tomoko out there for me to buzz through) but it looks like they're gonna let Tomoko get a little zanier in this one. She's the one getting caught up in the crazyness of competetive parenting.

I am one happy TV viewer.

Oh, and in the world of annoying hindsight... I got the discs from a guy in Virginia. And what's the logo on the episodes? KTSF San Francisco.

Classic.

I haven't stopped!

From the series I've seen, I tend to really prefer the one's that were on in the '90s. Lot's of stuff that was just there, on ch 8, waiting for me. But I never noticed.

Then there's also that thing about having friends in Tokyo during that period, and I was sending them video tape instead of the other way around.

Oh well... since the Niners are gonna stink for a while, this searching for series on the net will keep me from blowing my lid on football sites.

I stayed up late and watched the first three episodes last night. It was difficult to understand the storyline, but it started getting interesting. I can't wait to rent the next few episodes.

The guy at the video store said that this drama and the drama "Toubousha" are the most rented videos right now.

I am watching Goog Luck. Just finished with Episode 4. I am dissapointed that Rina Uchiyama has had such a small part. Pout Other than that I am enjoying the drama.
seems that most of her parts in any drama in general are either bit parts or in support roles...
