The Fuji TV hour in New York will air Ningen no Shomei on Saturdays and Waterboys 2 on Sundays starting this weekend. Not holding my breath for WB2 (didn't like WB1 either), but NnS may attract my attention.

After Mayonaka no Ame's rerun ends, the next subtitled show on U. S. Nippon TV hour will be Ai suru tame ni Aisaretai. Despite the bad rap, I may end up giving it a chance.

I keep hearing some people say that Yamada Takayuki's going to be in Water Boys 2, is he? I thought he was only in the first one. Crazy I want to watch it though. Too bad I can't. LOL! I watch the international channel Big Grin

I don't think that Takayuki Yamada is in Water Boys 2. This new dorama got a whole lot of new cast. He does have a new dorama this summer, though. A love story, co-starring Haruka Ayase.

You mean a rebroadcast in Japan or on your home country?

FUJI TV's "Destiny of Love", worthy of five stars + NTV's "Last Present":

That would be so cool if they made a Hotman 2. If they do, I really hope that they air it in Southern California...with subtitles.

What about Water Boys 2 and Tokyo Wankei? Do you like both?

Water boys 2 is good too! I find it better than the first series. Applaud

But for tokyo Wankei, I've onli seen the first epi... and somehow, it feels like watching a k-drama... the music, the character, and even the pace of the drama is similar to that of a korean drama! This kinda put me off... bleh
(and I originally had high hopes for Fuji's Mon drama...) maybe I'll try the next few epi when I'm free...

But still, nothing beats "Sekai no chushin de ai wo sakebu" and "Tobosha" for this season... (at least those that I've seen...) w00t!

In what way? Better plot or better cast? I've watched Water Boys 1 and think it's pretty cool.

YAY! I always wanted to know what happens next. Hey, is Autumn the best season for dramas? Heard it from a line in a Hikki song, but I don't know if it's true. Beaten hehe

Perhaps Autumn is? Last year, from October - December, there was SO much good stuff on TV. And as time goes on, by the new year it just gets worse.....and boy, has it gotten worse this Summer...I think they're trying to market a high school crowd nowadays with so many silly dramas on TV. I understand the demographics of Japanese society are such that the number of people over 50 is super high, but c'mon......I can only take SO MUCH of that "Pin-ko" woman....

My favourite dorama seasons are Winter and Autumn, but personally last year, I think the best season is Winter because of Good Luck and Boku no Ikiru Michi. I still don't know about this year's doramas, but not including autumn, winter is still the best with Suna no Utsuwa, Shiroi Kyoto and Boku to Kanojo, not to mention Pride. All this are quality and ratings materials. Spring and summer are too youth-oriented and not focused enough.

I think winter is usually the best. 2003 Winter was a great season and the so-called "season of smap" in the 2004 winter dramas drew huge ratings. Autumn can be good too though. I agree with yume though - summer is never that good. Everything gets kind of silly. Although sometimes that produces neat dramas, like last year's "stand up".
